For the premium cost, I expected much higher quality. We left feeling that we had paid too much for a very average meal. I wouldn't recommend it if you're seeking good value for your money.

Great service. We went early at 5:30 and got seated by the window with great view to the street. Since it was so early, no one else was in the room with us, which was very nice. The food was very nice. You could tell they use top ingredients and the chefs put their hearts into cooking and plating each dish. One great note is that our water was constantly full, which reflects how attentive each server was!

Maison Selby is a gem. The various dishes our group ordered were creatively prepared and deliciously executed. The service was courteous and pleasant. An overall excellent experience.

This is an excellent restaurant. Inflation has hit them for sure, mains are in the $40s which is on the high side for me, but it is excellent food. Spectacular environment and don't miss out on the speakeasy. Lovely staff, some of whom are fluent in French if you would like to practice.

Unfortunately, our experience at Maison Selby was extremely disappointing. The steak arrived cold and completely lacked seasoning—it was genuinely one of the most underwhelming steaks I’ve had in Toronto. The burger wasn’t much better; the bun was stale and dry, making the whole dish hard to enjoy. Service was another letdown. Our server had a noticeably dismissive attitude, and actually made a face when we mentioned we weren’t ordering any alcoholic drinks. It made us feel unwelcome and judged, which is the last thing you want while dining out. As for dessert, the menu was so uninspired we decided to leave and grab dessert at Earls instead. Overall, from food to service, this was a major miss. There are far better options in the city. We won’t be coming back.
