Great waitress. Good good.
Very run down - pillows used as seat cushions on benches are grotty.
good solid food! small menu, but all things very tasty
Restaurant design and food were great. The cocktails and dishes were creative and really tasty.
However, service was pretty slow - our server seemed to disappear for big chunks of time throughout the night (she was nice, though!). We went on a Friday night and there was a loud movie playing at the pool. We could see and hear everything - OK if you want that experience, but we weren't expecting it at all and had a hard time chatting. The outdoor patio was also very windy -- typical in the north end of Palm Springs, but annoying.
Waitress was little rude. She was busy taking dishes away from the table even though we were still working on it.
Our group of five got together for an outdoor dinner and we had a very nice time. The environment is very relaxing. Our server was fun and on top of it. I had the flank steak and it was delicious and was a nice filling proportion. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinner as well. I think Reservoir has stayed on top of their game with the food.
Contemporary, creative cuisine, we'll be back --loved it!
Power washing around the pool with very noisy machines, I haul truck next to the dining area and it made it very I enjoyable. Won’t go back. The server did try her best but just a bad situation. Food was good but they need to tidy the place up a bit.
Lovely view and mod vibe sitting outside. Our waitress was so sweet and did a fabulous job suggesting entrees.
Love this place. Great food and service, cool ambience.
I have had lunch and dinner many time over the past couple of years. I wouldn’t go back until they change the menu. You had so many choices not anymore. Also it was a great value. The restaurant was always busy and it was empty. When l talked to our friends they all said they stopped going. The only good thing is the eye candy at the pool. Maybe a drink but don’t eat there.
Kale salad was too hard. Hamachi a little fishy. Tartare was excellent
Excellent food and service and nice outdoor ambiance near the pool and fire pits.
Great food & service.
Great spot on the north side of town. The food is delicious. There's not a lot of space inside and what there is is close to the door. We went on a cold night, and it was a bit chilly, but besides that, we definitely recommend this restaurant!
Caesar is amazing! Outstanding mixologist, storyteller, and host—took our experience at this excellent spot to the next level. Can’t wait to go back!
Overall great service, the people were all genuinely nice and food was amazing.
The service was extremely poor besides the amazing hostess. Food was average
The atmosphere was great. It was our first night in Palm Springs and we came here based on a friend's recommendation. We walked in to the cool spot and thought we had chosen well. It is not a kid friendly place we quickly learned, but we chalked this up to our lack of research and we cobbled together some things our kids would eat. They hadn't advertised themselves as a family friendly spot. Our bad. Sadly the service was abysmal. We arrived at 6:00 for a reservation, ordered drinks by 6:10, and didn't receive these drinks until after 7:00 despite multiple inquiries and chasing down the wait staff. At one point our server said the bar was slammed. It was not. I've never waited so long for a drink. My husband's glass of wine took almost an hour to pour. The food took even longer to arrive and didn't arrive as ordered. We asked for ketchup for my daughter's fries five times before it was delivered when most of her fries were eaten. Our tardy drinks were comped which was appreciated. But sadly what we hoped would be a fun relaxing dinner was maddening and disappointing. The food was good but the frustration we felt about the sustained poor service took so much away from the experience.
We met friends here for dinner and was very happy with the service - staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about food, chef etc. - food was very good and left compliments for the chef.
Staff needs training desperately service was slow and disorganized lacked normal customer focused approach to customers
Interesting setting, good service, menu selection was far too limited and not that appealing.
It was a rather chilly evening in Palm Springs and they had the heaters cranked up. When a table opened inside, they immediately offered to move us indoors (which we kindly accepted). The food was outstanding and everyone in our group said they would be back here to dine. It was a really enjoyable evening.
Loved everything about our lunch—especially Jack, our server! Personable, welcoming and made great suggestions.
This is the first restaurant review I have ever written and I'm writing it because I feel compelled to share my experience:
1. It took 35 minutes to get a glass of Merlot wine because they had to go to the "cellar" to get it. 2. There were many other service issues that I won't bore you with...however, one server and the manager apologized.
3. The WORST of all this was the food. Literally, all three of us dining said the same thing; in fact, one friend said let's cut our losses and find another spot. To the manager's credit, she "comped" our meal in recognition of how terrible the service was.
4. Bottom line: After similar experiences there in the past, we will not go back.
I will just say that I heard the wait staff and the manager apologizing to multiple guests
Finally! Some creative food in PS which isn’t weirdly bizarre and poorly prepared by a restaurant which knows the guests are tourists and they don’t care cos they know they’re not coming back.
Some creative and quite flavorful dishes coming out of the kitchen - as locals we’re thrilled and we definitely will be back!!
It's been a while since I've been there, but the menu is completely different with about 2/3 fewer choices. Menu is difficult to interpret in terms of flavors and my 1/2 chicken was overly spicy (hot) and the size of a 1/4 chicken. For $22 I expected more. Service was ok but far from experienced, including the bar which prepared a tiny Old Fashioned without ice and with a lemon peel rather than an orange.
We go to Reservoir any chance we get. Food is always great, service is always great. And, we love Mark as our waiter.
Delish! The beets were amazing, and the skirt steak and crispy potatoes were perfect!
Extremely disappointed in the new menu - very limited and lackluster. I heard all about "the old chef taking his recipes" but that doesn't explain a complete redo of the menu with NONE of the previous selections. I was there on 10/19 and the "old chef" was gone and the "slightly revised" menu was pleasantly surprising and was very good - nice combo of old and new. Now the new chef has changed completely - sans hamburger. Queso gone. Tacos gone. Salmon Salad gone. Ice Cream Sandwiches gone. None of the new items we ordered were that good or memorable. Every item on the old menu could have been recreated with slight ingredient change(s) and you could have stayed with what works. Nothing wrong with introducing new items but don't tell guests that "the old chef took all the recipes". That's just BS for a new menu - it wasn't gourmet items, it was fun food. Will not recommend again.
Good food, simple and tasty. Not fussy. Nice people too. Will return.
Always a great place to hang out in our awesome town. Love the pool area and ambiance. Didn't love my dish last night [short ribs] but that's just a personal preference issue and not a quality problem; my partner loved his ramen. Service is always friendly and accommodating.
Great appetizer(seared tuna taco). Recommend the short ribs! Friendly staff made a difference.
Ramen was not good - burnt flavor. Otherwise food was very good - especially labneh, cauliflower, and beet/goat cheese.
Meal was as usual AWESOME. I look forward to the next time. .
This was our first visit to this restaurant, but it will not be our last! Marvelously accommodating staff and management, tasty food, and an environment of "just fashionable enough," "sufficiently unique," and comfortable and casual. What a wonderful find. We'll certainly be back!
While the vibe and ambience during the day is lively, up-tempo and animated; the evening vibe is dull and too low-key. Staff is polite and friendly, but not engaging. A disappointing experience. A marked difference from day time staff.
There was little or no attempt to up-sell.
I've worked as an executive in hospitality and food service for over 40 years.
Great atmosphere. Good food. Good price. Very cool vibe. Will go back.
Not sure what's going on with this place, but the food was overall very bland and pretty terrible. After ordering a round of appetizers and complaining about them, we were told that we were "eating them wrong". How exactly do you eat egg rolls wrong?!? The rest of the meal was just as bad. We were then told that there was a new chef and he was trying out new things.
Great space, just terrible food....
