Reserve Cut at Setai
This is, handsdown, the worst steakhouse I have been to in the city. I have been to Delmonicos, 21 Club, and Keen's, and this was not only worse, but more expensive. The filet mignon was the worst cut and tasted gritty. It was dry. I told the waiter "Rare +" and I said, "not quite rare, not quite medium rare. It was over medium rare and the outside was legitimately burnt. The waiter forgot both side dishes. I reminded him, he brought 1 side dish. I reminded him of the other, he pushed back, but I told him I did order it and I expected it comp'd. He didn't comp it. And then to top it all off, the manager took our cards and couldn't even match them with the proper receipt. Don't wast your time, and especially your money, on this poor food, poor service, overpriced place.
Excellent under any point of view
The food was tremendous. Every dish was excellent. Starters /sushi was fresh. Attention to detail was obvious our server was kind timely and respectful. An amazing experience. Great food and customer service. The website doesn't do the food or the service Justice.
Excellent experience. My date and I had a great time. Food was great, as was service.
Amazing ambiance, great food and superior service.
Dining at Reserve Cut was an amazing experience. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, the ambiance was very classy, and the menu was both impressive and phenomenal. I ordered the 14 oz Wagyu Beef Boneless Ribeye, which I can say was probably the best steak I have ever eaten. This restaurant I can definitively say is the best place I’ve ever eaten, and would recommend to anyone.
Great food, great ambiance. The sushi was fantastic but not sure it's worth 2-4 times what a sushi place would charge. All other dishes WELL worth the price.
Dinner at Reserve cut is a special (and expensive) experience. The waiters were particularly attentive, and the food was a great delight. If you come by car (as we did), be forewarned that coming up Broad Street, you will face a steel barrier (they will let you through). Your car (exterior) and its trunk will be searched or checked. You can order a parking pass in advance around the corner at 39 Exchange place.
Consider ordering a number of appetizers and sharing the dinner dish. The variety of tastes there is excellent.
Unbelievable service, amazing steaks and fabulous location.
Best Kosher in NYC PERIOD!
We will be back soon
Was slightly upset that we were rushed a bit because the kitchen was closing, but overall was a very nice experience.
Good food. Good atmosphere. Food was brought over timely. Food was warm and you were able to tell it was recently prepared and cooked the way it was ordered.
Food was very good, however its ridiculously over priced, and I was shocked at the SMALL portions considering the cost associated.
100% perfect all the way around...one Exception...
My steak was terrible I ordered the wagou rib eye and it was full of grissel...I didn’t say anything, I’m not a complainer.
I was just bummed everything was amazing then I got the steak. I was entertaining clients and didn’t want to cause a scene.
Best place for a romantic date or family dinner. Nothing like it
Amazing service as always. Was a little disappointed by the steak this time :(
Very Lovely to have a kosher restaurant but for sure is a bit overpriced and the steaks are good but certainly not great / worth the premium.
Excellent diner with my family in a very charming restaurant with extraordinairy food
Well to be honest I made a reservation with a Birthday not only did they not mention it or provided a house Comp appetizer I felt for the price the food could have been a bit more
Elite but the dinning area through the restaurant is very nice
steak was really not good at all and waiter was very not good
Burger was flavorless and a bit raw and the bread was completely soggy. For $30 I would expect better
Excellent service, delicious food! Beautiful place!
Consistently a fantastic experience all around. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary yesterday , Alessandro and the entire crew took care of us like family. If you are looking for a special night out , a business meeting to impress ,or just a night to indulge Reserve cut is your place !
Ambiance is always excellent. This time food was lacking
Me and my parter decided to try Reserve Cut again after the previous experience and we received an amazing welcome back!
The server mentioned some new items that they just add on in the menu and we decided to give it a try. The steam buns were melting in my mouth and the Po boy if I remember the name correctly were to die for!
Both main course were delicious as well, my friend select the sea bass and I got the wagyu steak. Service was excellent and very attentive like last time and they also send us a glass of sweet wine with our dessert. Worth every penny!! We will definitely go back!
This was the first time my husband and I went to Reserve Cut. It was for our 2nd wedding anniversary....and it might just be the go to for next year, the year after and the year after that!
This restaurant was disappointing and the service not good
Best steak I may have ever had in my life. Tomahawk A5 from Japan. Super expensive. But OMG. And I don’t say these words lightly. I am usually VERY critical.
I have sent a note on the reservation to say THANK YOU to our guest. The reception didn't do that. We ordered Flatbread appetizer and other main courses. We got our main course but appetizer never showed up. Later we cancelled the appetizer order. One of our guest order from the PrixFix lunch menu. He also ordered coffee after main course. They forget so serve him the dessert and served him coffee. We had to ask the server for his fruit platter. I felt the dining experience was a not worthy for the $423 we have spent.
Great experience! George, our server was super friendly and helpful. Great ambiance, delicious food and overall great time.
Recommended after a day at the spa!!!
I'd recommend it to a friend who kept Kosher. The service was nice and they gave us sparkling white wine because I noted we were celebrating in the reservation.
Best high end kosher restaurant in New York. Service is incomparable. The high level complete confident staff make sure you are completely taken care of. There are many unique options on the menu such as the Braised beef cheeks which is absolutely delicious. The stakes are on the next level. The perfect balance between soft and tasty that's also extremely savery. I would recommend the stakes sauces to add a extra boost of flavor. The deserts are a perfect ending to the meal that make sure you are absolutely satisfied. Reserve cut is a great place to enjoy yourself and enjoy those your with by making you as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend going.
This was my 3rd trip within the last 3 months to Reserve Cut. The first time I got the salmon filet with crispy quinoa and it was good. Second trip, and yesterday's I ordered the steakhouse salad. Both times it was off and meat was very undercooked. I normally go medium rare, but went medium to be safe both times - still undercooked. The watercress "salad" is nothing more than a rushed side that feels like a last minute side just covering real estate of your plate.
Place is nice, the workers will come over 5-7 times, then the manager to ensure you're satisfied with the service. Food hasn't proven to be fabulous, or even decent for that matter. No more business meetings here, I'll save myself the $200 lunch expense.
First time and very satisfied
Great place overall and very good steak
Staff was very very helpful
Best restaurant for the Kosher world!!
Amazing sushi, unbelievable steaks with great service!
Looking forward to go back
From the moment we walked in, my friend and I were treated very special. We got to the restaurant early so we ha D.A. drink at the bar. All three bartenders could not have been more nice. One of the bartenders even made me an off the menu cocktail.
Our waitress was very friendly and was always stopping by our table to see if we needed anything. No request was too big!
The food was delicious . I ordered the ribs as an appetizer and they practically melted off the bone! My lamb was made to perfection. They also have an outstanding wine list
While the restaurant is far from inexpensive, it is definitely worth going to. I highly recommend it.
Very very very expensive and they charged for a coffee refill. Totally insulting, obnoxious, and ridiculous and I will never go back because of this. They lost a lifetime customer over a nickel.
Best kosher restaurant ever!!
We had a great dinner with tacos of course (can’t miss those) sweet peppers and couple of rolls follow by a Wagyu on the bone and truffle fries.
Can’t wait to go back!!
