It was our two year anniversary so they sat us at one of the private smaller tables which I was thankful for. The food was amazing especially the short rib. Drinks great. Food great. Atmosphere great.
Fantastic. Third time and still excellent which is a marvel for such a large restaurant. Highly recommend. If you want a quieter area ask for a table upstairs.
Republique is hands down my favorite restaurant in LA. The combination of service and high quality, beautiful and delicious food is unparalleled. Each time we go is as impressive as the previous. We will definitely be back again. Thank you for an outstanding meal and perfect wine pairing.
Fabulous restaurant- amazing food and great atmosphere. Would definitely go again. Loved it!
I’ve been following Republique on Instagram for a while and have been in love with their pics of their gorgeous seasonal colorful dishes. They did not disappoint in person. We ordered the salmon and roe appetizers, raw oysters, steak tartare appetizers, little gems salad, brussel sprouts with bacon, broccoli and cauliflower with hummus sides, lobster pasta, and the quail entree, duck entree. Every dish was perfect. The only thing we wish we hadn’t ordered was the oysters because although lovely, they were simply raw oysters so it was kind of like “why bother?” My favorite dessert was the strawberry tiramisu. My old fashioned cocktail was a bit on the sweet side but that’s my taste so they brought me an extra shot. The service was fast, super informed, friendly and took great care of us. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it! I can’t wait to return to try their brunch!
Prizey food. Appetizers were better than main courses. Quail not particularly special. Superb wine list
La comida mediocre y muy caro
Super hip spot with great music and fantastic food. The service was excellent. Very crowded, so reservations are a must. Valet is close by. Fairly expensive...EXTENSIVE wine list. Loved this place. I’m saving my money for next time!
AWESOME!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Republique!! The food was excellent - ridiculously good! The main courses were superb (pork belly!... yum!), but we felt that the small bites and pastas stole the show. (Get the beignets!) Crafty cocktails were delicious! In addition to terrific food the SERVICE WAS TOP NOTCH! We joked that “they think we are ‘somebody.’” Everyone was extremely polite, attentive, and genuine. Only minor downside was noise level (high) and since they seat people at the bar, there is no opportunity for cocktails while you wait for your table. Fortunately, we only waited a minute or two, so no big deal. GO TO REPUBLIQUE!!
Food was impeccable. It does get crowded & a bit loud. Communal seating as well in some instances. Servers are busy but overall experience was great. Drinks were on point as well.
Delicious and decadent! Our Server Curtis was lovely and wonderful. The food is pricey but worth every penny. Love love love the dinnerware and a decor.
Great place to celebrate a birthday! Wonderful food that never disappoints.
We had waited for awhile to try Republique--We were fans of Campanile, back in the day, and don't often venture out of the South Bay, given traffic these days. Went there for my birthday and the experience lived up to all expectations! Everything we had was sensational--potato and leek beignets, kanpachi crudo, salad with persimmons, maple pecans and goat cheese, pasta with Dungeness crab, lemon and basil and the grand finale: floating island! All our servers and the sommelier were so personable, interesting and lovely. It made my birthday a very special occasion and I am telling all my friends to try it. The decor was magnificent too! What an interesting building!
Incredible restaurant. The Food, Service, ambiance, and cocktails are all world class. Great job.
Our experience started when we arrived for our reservation on time and was told we didn’t have one. I produced my confirmation and magically we got a table. We were seated at a large family style table which reminded me of the dining hall at Hogwarts castle - for the prices they charge the ambiance really sucked. The worst part was the overall service which was horrendous! They brought out food randomly and not in the correct order so starters were brought out before mains - Really??? Again for the money this type of thing should never happen. Begging for another glass of wine and drinking water.
The food was good but the service had us so upset that we didn’t enjoy any of the food.
Needless to say we’ll never go back.
It was a total cluster from start to finish.
Amazing food in an interesting building. It’s bustling and maybe not great for a private conversation on the shared tables, but it had a fun vibe. Service was top notch too. We loved it! Perfect place for a date or a dinner with friends.
Republique was phenomenal. The quality of the food was only surpassed by the incredible service. The Dover Sole was mind blowing, the best piece of fish I have ever eaten.
This was a dinner that I will remember forever.
Never disappoints. Great food, service and incredible wine list.
Lots of flavors! Great experience!
Perfection! Our Waiter was the best ever!!!! Felt so special!
Appetizers and salads excellent bit small portions and expensive. Cassoulet was poor and expensive. Service slow. Was there at opening 5:30 didn't get out until 8:15. I kept looking for the waiter who always had an excuse for not being around. Kitchen and service were way too slow for this price point. Will not go back.
Our server was great. The bread and butter is the best! We found the dishes a bit small for sharing between 4 people. The chocolate mousse with raspberries was delicious.
Sitting by the bar was dark and noisy. Didn’t enjoy that at all!!!
The food is superb, the space is beautiful, and the service impeccable. The food was all excellent with my favorite being the pork belly, but the oats, beets, and berries with the duck breast were a miss given how exceptional everything else was.
The communal tables and din make it a better casual spot with a group of friends or for a quick dinner before a show versus a romantic date spot for long conversation.
Will definitely come back but for a special occasion would be more likely to hit something more formal like providence
Incredible food, and service. Honestly one of the top experiences of f & B for us in a long time. All the servers, host, hostess, etc smiled and said thank you everywhere I turned. Not sure who trained the staff, but I cannot say enough how could our experience was. Thank you all!
Lovely experience from food to staff to ambience. Entrées and salad were prepared to perfection.
Food was so creative and service was fantastic!!! Highly recommend!
Food was excellent. Creative dishes. Everything seemed very organized.
Pasamos un año nuevo increíble, la comida es muy buena calidad
Muy buena experiencia!
I would recommend to friends whether for singles or families but do make an Open table reservation. We were seated promptly at a nice private table for 4 and had a fabulous experience with our 2 kids home from college on New Year's Eve.
Excellent dinner with an innovative menu though the portions were small for the price.
Outstanding food, service, and cocktails conveniently located walking distance from my airbnb. I'll be back!
We decided to celebrate our Anniversary at Republique. I made the reservation noting our celebration and upon our arrival they said "Happy Anniversary" and that was about it for our celebration at the Republique restaurant.
We started off with a couple of glasses of wine, as the waiter poured the glasses they were more like "half glasses" he spilled the wine all over the table... too bad as it would have made a full glass of wine had it not been all over the table.
We then ordered bread for $8 about 2 pieces per person and I asked for butter and olive oil the waiter said it has to be one or the other. What??? What restaurant charges this much for a small amount of bread and not give olive oil and butter??? For the prices we paid it is ridiculous that they are so stingy.
We ordered oysters ($4 per piece) which were fresh and excellent I added a star for them, tiny Barrata toasts ($12) which were less than a bite per person, the beignet balls ($12) were good, fish ($46) w gnocchi and mushrooms and cheese both ok. Cheese bits w 2 smart pieces of bread, dollop of honey and jam for $9. The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted to order desert!! Rushing us to clear the table $160 was just not worth the dreary experience.
Valet parking is $11.50. If you come after 7 you can park on the street.
This was a very sad and disappointing wedding Anniversary celebration ... we should have chosen a restaurant that would have made us feel more welcomed and paid more attention to customer satisfaction.
The best restaurant in Los Angeles. The food is amazing, the setting superb, and the service sublime.
Great place to get together and share food. Everything was delicious, unique and perfectly executed. Sommelier was great as well as the whole staff. Will definitely be coming back
One of our favorite restaurants. I wish we could get past the beignets and other starters. Particularly love the tuna tartare. Stay away from the steak tartare. So disappointing compared to my brothers. This one is flavorless compared to cubed quality meat and condiments with rye bread.
Great food! Every single dish was amazing
Overall a good experience, not great. For starters, we were seated at a high top that was brutally uncomfortable. Why subject your guests to seats that are painful to sit in? Makes no sense. Spend a few bucks on seats that have backs on them. This is not rocket science.
Most dishes were excellent but here's a few to avoid.
Pork belly - don't order this. Desperately needs some texture. As is, it's a soft lump of pork with no flavor.
Roast chicken - there is nothing special here. I can make this at home. You need to offer something above and beyond at this price point.
Spinach Cavatelli - I love salt. This was not edible due to the overbearing salt levels.
