Happy hour at the bar was fantastic. Dinner in the restaurant was relaxed and perfectly paced for a birthday celebration
The Bistro is consistently good, we always have a family dinner there when everybody is home. It is a little noisy in the center of the room, so we try for a corner or the side room. I like it for a group better than for two people, as with most bistros, the small tables are very close to one another. Great service!
Surprisingly professional and awesome and friendly, welcoming, experience. Love linen table cloths and great waiters. Ours was tops.
Food was not good at all and in fact caused my boyfriend a night in the bathroom. I also wasn’t thrilled with the service as my table was generally being neglected as other larger tables were constantly being attended to. While I understand a party of 6 might require more effort, a party of 2 is also spending their money at this restaurant and shouldn’t have to be neglected while other patrons are treated top notch. My bill of $91 was not worth the food or service. In fact, I regret visiting and spending my money here and would suggest people visit the Gun Barrel or Snake River Grill instead. We had excellent food and amazing service at both of those two locations. I hope they just had an off night but again, unless you need something super kid friendly, I would try somewhere else.
Fabulous Christmas Night Dinner. It's a cozy restaurant away and the food was superb! It's not far from the town centre and it's well-worth the short drive over! I had the beef bourguignonand YUM. Highly recommend!
As usual, dinner was amazing and service was outstanding! We dined on Christmas Eve and just had a perfect meal all around. If we had any complaints, and it is a small one, it’s that the ice cream sandwiches on the dessert menu are minuscule! It might have been helpful to describe them as mini, or a mouthful or something. We should have guessed from the price that they were small, but we laughed very hard when my husband received his tiny huckleberry ice cream sandwich on a plate. Otherwise, Rendezvous Bistro served up yet another perfect meal!
Well - we are regulars at the Bistro - we live in Jackson 9 months a year. We have found that the quality of the food has improved over the 5years we have been residents. On this last visit I was VERY disappointed
that they took my favorite dish - veal scalloping off the menu and are only offering it on Monday nights. I don't go out much on Monday nights so I can never have it. I'm mad!!! Put it back on the menu. Please.
Favorite go-to place in town. Hearty servings, great atmosphere, wonderful service.
Quaint & cozy. Food was outstanding and with our reservations, we were seated almost immediately. Would recommend.
Mussels were cold and shriveled. Food came out in stages (entrees). Server forgot wine order and coffee.
Disappointing, tired, boring. Place hasn’t changed in 20 years. Food was really terrible
pre cooked entrees in a commissary. used to be great-now bland food and a limited menu take it off of the "to go" list. a real loss to jackson
We have been going to the Rendezvous for years. It's convenient to where we live and moderately priced. The menu used to be more varied than it is now. Some favorites are gone (most of the sandwiches and a few others) while others remain (e.g. hamburger, croque madame, tuna tartare, meat loaf, fish and chips). The new menu items, tend to be of less interest, to me at least. And, my wife says the meals she and her daughter recently had weren't very good. We will still go there from time to time but our expectations are lower.
The food was not Grenada our server acted like she was put out by helping us
Three out of four entrees were excellent. The pork was super dry.
We had a great dinner at the Bistro Wednesday evening. It was our son's birthday, and Rendezvous Bistro was the perfect choice for our celebratory dinner. The service was fabulous, the food amazing, and the atmosphere positive & energetic. I had the Wednesday special, the fried chicken. It was wonderful! Be prepared for a huge serving... I ended up taking half of it home. My husband is crazy about their mussels & frites. Son ordered the goose dish. We were all extremely happy with our dining experience. Love the Bistro!
The food was awesome. I had the salmon which was absolutely delicious. My server (Radka) was great ! She was very friendly and did a great job ! Oh, the local beer was very good !
Rarely have an 'adult' night out these days. Love coming in for the meatloaf:) Never disappoints.
Love this place. Any special occasion or celebration you will find me here, and sometimes just because.
Crowded! Snowy night so guests dragged on the leaving process. Therefore our 7:30 reservation stalled til 8:00pm.
However, friendly management and wait staff.
We had a great dinner. My husband ordered the pork and loved it and I ordered the mussels and thought they were really good. The fries were hot and crispy. We would definitely go back again!
Good food. Friendly people!
I just love eating at Rendesvous Bistro! Consistency is critical for a restaurant to survive and every time I go there I know I’ll walk away pleased!
I have been coming to the Bistro for 15 years and more and the one thing is that it is consistently good. some years it is great but always good. there are menu items that standout. The pork loin if cooked correctly is delicious this visit. I did have to send an over cooked one back. The 1/2 chicken is the max for your money and is always very good. you can great a glass or wine or a mixed drink for a reasonable price. and lastly, in October they do 2 for 1 entrees.
Poor quality food. Used to be a great restaurant.
Both the manager and our waitress were very attentive. Great experience.
$13.50 for a glass of mediocre Chardany, food was better rhan OK but not great.
Our wait staff was superb, our party was 2 children and 4 adults, all felt very comfortable
I've been going to the Rendezvous for almost 30 years and it never disappoints. It is a local favorite and I like to end up there on Wednesday evenings when they have their Fried Chicken...
Always enjoy the meal and service. Would enjoy good steak with potatoes on the menu and perhaps a more generic salad of greens, tomatoes, onion, avocado, carrot, etc. (like the one we have at home).
We dined here on a Wednesday evening. I asked the server about the soup they offered and he mentioned one I wasn’t interested in. Then I heard another server say they had gaspacho which we would have ordered but it was too late because our entree arrived less than 5 minutes after we ordered. The veal Marsala was so tough we had to send it back and we were asked to choose something else. I chose the scallop dish that was served cold. I thought it would be hot but our server was always across the room and I was tired of trying to get his attention. While leaving the hostess asked how everything was and I commented disappointing. She asked if I talked to the manager and I said no because I didn’t feel I should summon them and that they should have stopped by our table out of concern for meals returned to the chef. I walked away with the impression that everything is precooked and they just put it on a plate and put sauce on it. I think they are catering to tourist and think it doesn’t matter because once and done. I think it’s sad because anything worth doing is worth doing well.
The reviews looked good and we weren't disappointed with our end of vacation dinner. Sarah C looked after the four of us really well.
Thanks for a special evening.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Jackson. Staff, owners and servers are super
The food and service was excellent but my wife specified she wanted her veal cooked medium well and it was barely medium.
Went particularly to have the FRIED CHICKEN which is offered only on Wednesday... unfortunately they only made 22 portions so RAN OUT BY 6:30 I was told by the wait person and The VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS seated next to me. This was a special Birthday for a friend who LOVES FRIED CHICKEN which is why we chose the BISTRO. Very Disappointed!!!! As we live locally and frequent this restaurant so we got to have baked chicken and a hamburger AGAIN! Food is good there they just need to plan better especially when they run a specialAd in the local paper announcing FRIED CHICKEN IS BACK!... Not really....
Consistently good and always a treat to eat there. You know you’re going to get a good meal and fantastic service.
Service was excellent but our appetizers and meals were not good.
Caesar Salad - spiced with a hot sauce which is not typical (YUCK)
Baby Octopus- very bland a with potatoes and onions (did not pair well)
Musceles- very bland
Duck Confit - Over cooked, very dry and salty, although the spatzl and red cabbage was good.
Would not recommend this place, we were very disappointed.
Fine dining with friends. Not noisy. Nice atmospher.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Ate outside on deck. Lovely evening!
Admittedly we dined at 6 PM on a Friday evening, but the food came almost too quickly. We thought the spices and flavors on some dishes were overdone. The gazpacho was good, but the pork chop was very tough. Attentive service, nice environment.
