Renato's Ratings and Reviews
First failure of this restaurant for us. Not overcrowded nor understaffed so the problem seems to have been in the kitchen. Each of us got one dish that was good and another that was disappointing or defective. Everything was a long wait. Will probably not return for dinner and certainly not at all in high season.
I got really lucky finding this place. There was literally a violinist precursor. The aesthetic of the restaurant feels like it belongs in an AL Pacino movie -- in a good way! Absolutely gorgeous. Half of the seating area (the center) is outside, so it's never too hot or cold... Although for some, this might mean researching weather patterns when finding the exact day to go.
My date loved everything about this place! Portions are healthy, flavors are well thought out, and service is very quick -- we got our dishes together within fifteen minutes!
You will NOT be disappointed w/this restaurant. Renato's, for the win!
We were seated in the court yard. The setting was perfect. Service very attentive and accommodating The squid and seafood sampler were superb I had Ossobuco w Rissotto. World class. My wife had lamb and a sweet potatoe au gratin w excellent desert
We’re going back!!
Wait staff were super friendly but seemed a little disorganized. Some menu items were super good, a couple perhaps just average. The desserts were amazing! The outdoor seating is just gorgeous and this is a lovely place to go for lunch on a bright sunny day.
This trip was particularly delightful as it was our 1st of this season. Tried a new wine off the extensive list...just right! Salads were perfect, shared pasta course (with veal) was divine and our seafood entrees were simply divine. Sat outside fountainside....so romantic! Add live piano music and you’ve got a recipe for the perfect evening!
We love this restaurant. Atmosphere is wonderful--you feel like you're in Europe at an outside cafe. The service is excellent, food delicious and wine and martini's generous and tasty. Located in a courtyard off of Worth Avenue, the restaurant is cozy with indoor and outdoor seating selection. On the dressy side, which appeals to me after being FL casual so often. Well worth the trip to Palm Beach.
Foodie or not, Renato’s is devine. Perfectly cooked pasta with truffles, moist seafood risotto loaded with lobster, shrimp and crabmeat following a delicately flavored fresh endive salad.
The dining rooms are beautiful. The outdoor room sublime. Perfect service. On a scale of 1-10 it gets a 20.
This was our anniversary and our first time at Renato's. The food was great, as was the service and atmosphere. I know it's Palm Beach and we're not adverse to spending money on good food, however, $58 for a bowl of fettuccini, with nothing in it but truffle oil and mushrooms, was a bit pricey, even for Palm Beach. Other than that, we do recommend Renato's, just don't be surprised at the high prices.
It was a celebration of my husbands birthday. It was very expensive for an ok dinner. The service was terrible. Several times they put food in front of us that we did not order. They never filled our glasses of water without trying to flag the wait staff down. They were not attentive and yet there were so many people working there and no one cared about us. And when we complained at the host table, it was obvious where they got their attitude. It comes from the top, down! The food, except for the pasta and soup, was not good. I ordered the lobster salad for my main course after a bowl of very good minestrone soup. The salad was a joke. I did not even get a whole piece of lettuce. The description should be changed. Very misleading. After wonderful reviews, and a full house, I wonder where we went wrong.
I love sitting In the courtyard having a long lunch. It’s a very comfortable, welcoming place with a blend of glamour and sophistication thrown in.
Remember a 3 star review for food (on Open table’s scale) means good. The food is good. Not great. Not wow but good. The service is good.
Add the food and the cocktails and the wine and the service and the pretty courtyard together and you should have a wonderful lunch.
I haven’t tried it for dinner.
Got four pastas. All bad. Olive Garden is better.
Service impersonal. Waitress kept interrupting our conversation. She asked one of us if he wants some more wine; he said no and she removed the whole glass, instead of leaving it for him to have more, later.
Only good thing is the excellent piano player and the ambiance.
Renato is always perfect! We especially like dining in the lovely orchid- blooming courtyard. My niece had Niçoise salad, I had the crab and lobster one, and my great niece had penne with red sauce. It sounds so simple, but the sauce tasted more like vodka sauce. Absolutely delicious! In the evening the courtyard is romantic, but so is the wine room. The lights in the wine room give everyone a peachy glow--absolutely lovely. With its white tablecloths it is one of Palm Beach's finest restaurants and especially in the evening sport coat is definitely de riguer.
