Remini's Ratings and Reviews
made reservation, although it did not seem to be needed. they seated on time. waitress was very personable, told of specials, which we tried two of those. I had a filet mignon with crab.
the steak was very tender, cooked medium to perfection. kitchen is in view of the customers,
and depending on where you are sitting you may feel the heat, which flames rise up. restaurant is clean. I ordered a house salad, not overly impressed. my wife had a flounder dish which she
said was good. portions were filling. would consider going again if in the area.
Dinner was absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive and helpful when we had a question about an item on the menu. I especially like the wide variety of dinner entrees. The food is obviously very fresh. It is located near where we live and is an excellent place to go for lunch or dinner. I highly recommend going to Remini's.
A business dinner with colleagues that wanted a "local" flair.
The evening special was a "knockout" for the table.
Service was friendly and allowed us to discuss business with enough checks on service and meal quality. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was 100% full, so the noise level was moderate to high.
Great Meal in a "Local" True Italian Restaurant
Don't be fooled by appearances. Remini's is in a strip mall on a busy highway (US 221) and when you enter the restaurant you may think "Diner" or bar food only. But not so! The service is friendly and professional and the food, although not exceptional, is very good and a good value. We had Chicken Parmigiana and Souvlaki. The wine selection wasn't extensive but they had good, serviceable brands and varietals.
Our restaurant experience at Remini's was outstanding as usual. Ample portions of delicious Mediterranean foods, and warm service. However, when we arrived they were surprised because the reservation was not forwarded to the restaurant. Apparently this is a common experience. they apologized profusely, however, I will think twice about using Open Table
Had 6 pm reservation. Restaurant did not have us in their reservation list. We were able to be seated even though the restaurant was very busy. Our server Evelyn was great. As a group we ordered the Pasta Natale and Chicken Parmigiana along with Caesar salad and garden Salad. The food was very tasty however we were served very late because the restaurant was very busy. We were offered complimentary desserts to make up for it. We got the Canoli and Chocolate lava cake and both were delicious. I would go back again on a less crowded night.
Remini's was a great surprise and a happy find for us. The pasta sauce (particularly the marinara) was delicious and the other dishes we got were wonderful. If I had one small criticism it is that the wine list was not more prominent on the table or in the menu. But that's a very small criticism. Overall, highly recommend for a family night out.
We were in Roanoke for graduation, and if we lived closer, Remini's is a place I would definitely
go back to. The dishes were made fresh, served hot, and absolutely delicious! Everything from the meatballs & chicken marsala (highly recommend), to the sandwiches and salads were superb! Service was excellent...attentive but not overbearing.
I am a big fan of Remini's. The chicken parmesan is fantastic, with huge portions that allowed for another full meal from the left-overs. It is truly wonderful. We love the bruschetta and the caesar salads too. The service is always the weak spot. The waitresses tend to stand around the grill watching and waiting for the food to cook instead of refilling glasses and waiting on the tables, and they do that while the owners are standing beside them - could use improvement. Otherwise, the restaurant is perfect, and it's great to be able to make a reservation.
The menu is mostly traditional, basic Italian items with a few twists. Very generous portions in a very casual environment. Reasonable prices. Attentive service for the most part even though it was quite busy when we dined. The room can get quite loud so it's not a place for a quiet conversation. It compares well with several other casual Italian restaurants in town, but isn't quite on par with the best of those.
