Server was inattentive and it was not as good as it was the last time I was there.
Went for restaurant week. Good food, good drinks, attentive wait staff, and good value. However, we were there during happy hour and the place was filled. The resultant noise level was such that you couldn’t talk to anyone across the table. If you like to talk while eating, go later
Went for Jersey Shore Restaurant week all of the restaurant week main courses were on the standard menu was the standard menu. I had the porcini rubbed skirt and finance had the pan roasted duck breast both were excellent will definitely go back for them again.
Walked in. Greeting in a friendly, professional manner. Verified our reservation. Sat at bar , waiting for last member of party which put us past our reservation, host was understanding and nice.
Apps and dinner great. Waiter knowledgeable and friendly
What a great experience- food and service were tremendous. Started with the mussels app which was delicious and the oysters were fresh, local and tasty. Our server, Anita, was great. She recommended a bottle of wine, which was very good, and their moonfish special which was outta this world good. Will definitely return!
Great place! Great food! I love this place! Every time we go here the staff is very nice and the food is always perfect. Never hit or miss always have been happy.
I was so happy with the quality of the food and the restaurant itself - great neighborhood find!! The Calamari was magnificent and I had the Wagyu burger which was exceptional. The most amazing thing, though, were the fries. Phenomenal! We will definitely be going there again, the cocktails were great as well!
Been there many times and always enjoyed it. Some how, the experience last night was off. The noise level during happy hour was extreme. The timing of the kitchen was off with food for the same courses coming out at different times. Though I always liked the specials and called them creative, the pheasant tonight was extremely dry and the mustard sauce clashed. Overall, a disappointing evening.
We both had the venison stew special — nice treat on a cold damp night. One diner had the baked oysters (good but not exceptional) the other the cavatelli with beef cheeks (outstanding). Cozy corner table by the window to watch passerby in the rain. Excellent selection of wines by the glass.
Good rating was the best I could do. Made reservations stating it was an Anniversary we are seated right next to a party eight within a very empty dining room. Unfortunately I had to ask to be moved away from the fireplace. Food was decent and cooked well. Appreciate the kitchen allowed a substitution for scallops to shrimp. Service was spotty. We had to ask for bread and water to be refilled. Alcohol prices were a bit high. Will I recommend or return? it's debatable.
The food was excellent, the portions were perfect-not too much and not too little. We ate every single bite. We had the deviled eggs, hummus, beet salad with arugula, trout with Kolrabi and the cheese plate. Everything was well prepared and well presented.
I have been to this restaurant many times and always liked it. It is always good... I had some challenges with the new menu the last time (new chef). It was still excellent. I gave it another try and am very happy they added back a Ceaser salad option. My wife loved the Scallops and I had the Venison Goulash special. Very good. Services was great. Will be back.
We went here for my birthday and the scallops were cooked perfectly and the lobster risotto was incredible! My boyfriend had the venison goulash and he absolutely loved it!
We will most definitely be going back to this restaurant for other special dinners.
always a pleasant experience, great food and service, and an overall comfortable setting.
Have never been disappointed,
My wife and I had gone to Remington's on a Friday night. It was a great experience. The owner Rod took time to sit and ask if everything was all right. Our waitress was incredible . Nothing took to long to arrive. Never felt rushed out of the restaurant. Overall experience was great .
Absolutely delightful evening! Excellent, pleasant, service . We ate in the dining room, but some people would love the hightop seating in the bar room. There was a great jazz quartet playing in that room on the night we were there. The veal was fabulous , as was the duck breast. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!- Great martinis too!
An upscale bar with interesting and tasty food. Adjoining table service area. Our first time there and will definitely return. Service was excellent. Love their happy hour.
We visit Remington's about six times year and it never disappoints. Great menu, drinks and service. Superb wine list. Perfect for a special occasion or when you want to impress.
Everything was Perfect!!!!
we requested they box one of our meals because my girlfriend only ate half of it. We eventually realized they forgot. I tried to get the server who cleared the plates attention but she clearly ignored me. Twice. I waved when she was 8 feet in front of me and looking right past me. Unbelievable.
Finally got hostess attention. This assistant server (bus person) who ignored me told hostess the plates were empty. Flat out lie. We were about to leave when hostess came over and asked for 5 minutes so they could prepare another order for us to leave with. Fair enough but would have been nice to let us know what was going on. 15 minutes go by and nothing. we just left. won't go back. Food also expensive. it was fine but nothing great for the prices
Food delicious, ambience wonderful
Excellent choice for our Valentines dinner. Happy that our seating request on Open Table was taken care of...
Last minute vanintine date, jumped on open table and the only reservation available was 5. We arrived and the main dining room was empty, we normally would eat later so we were a little miffed that we could have been seated by 6 or 7. The dinner was wonderful, service, great, I’m not sure if this is an open table problem or the restaurants.
Good food good service. Pleasantly surprised!
We try to get to Remington's several times a year as the food is very good and the service is usually excellent. This last visit the food was very good, but the service was sluggish. We had 7:45 reservations and got there a bit early to enjoy a cocktail at the bar. We were directed to an uncleared high top table and waited for the server to approach. I ended up moving the dirty glassware, napkins etc to another high top that had no chairs. Not a good experience when you are paying $12 for a cocktail.
We moved to the dining room for dinner and waited almost 20 minutes for the server to approach. The food was very good, but please don't ask me if "you guys OK? Food alright?"
Up the game at these prices.
Food was great. Service was great. The owner stopped by to say hello and welcome us. Good band playing Beatle music, Johnnny Cash and other classics. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. What’s not to like.
Excellent as usual!
The waiter Jeff was lovely, main course was good but the seafood platter was lousy. The lobster was limp, the clams were non existant (they were so small) and the oysters were bland. They should give you a few more items in it and provided a better quality.
As a 'first-timer' I was pleasantly surprised. Met with some friends for dinner and drinks. The Mushroom and Leek Appetizer was delicious, we enjoyed other appetizers including the Mussels in Lemongrass broth which was amazing. For dinner, we enjoyed the Strip Steak, Scallops, and Arugula Salad with Flank Steak. Apple Strudel and Creme Brulee for dessert!
Cocktails that stood out were an excellent Vodka Martini, and the Espresso Martini.
Not cheap, but worth the money, and the service was excellent!!
First time at Remington’s. It was a slow winter night and we were the only ones in the dining area. The bar side was very lively with a nice band. At first we were seated (my poor choice) so that we were quite near the band. The manager suggested that we move closer to the fireplace which was a very nice spot. We both enjoyed our meals very much. My husband had calamari and steak. I had pate and scallops with lobster risotto. We will definitely be back.
Let me preview my comments with a positive - the food is outstanding. This past Saturday evening was probably my 20th visit. Hey, the place is consistently good. We wouldn't come back that many times if it wasn't.
Now for a couple of disappointments. First we were surprised there is no longer a Happy Hour on Saturday afternoon. That was always a main attraction for us. We enjoyed on numerous occasions arriving at 5:30 pm and taking advantage of drink and appetizer specials for half an hour prior to staying for dinner. By eliminating that means more $$ out our pockets to enjoy the same drink and food.
Secondly, the entrée selection seems to have become limited. not as many choices as in the past. This Saturday the additions to the menu included a duck dish for two. Well, thee was also a duck dish on the regular menu. So, what was so special then about the special nightly addition? And, there wasn't even a filet mignon choice. There was a NY strip selection that was rather pricey at $47, if my memory serves me correctly. In general, their pricing is getting up there and why I gave four stars for value instead of five.
Will we still go back - yes, but with reservation on whether it will be as frequent or longer term at all if we feel other local options are more attractive.
Always a Good experience. Very nice atmosphere, Great food . One of my favs 👍🏻
We were very happy to be celebrating New Year's Eve with friends for dinner at Remington's. Food, service , atmosphere, all quite good. We rarely eat out on NYE but we enjoyed our evening thoroughly. Staying local was wonderful! Would definitely do this again! Thank you for a great dining experience on a holiday that could be CRAZY!!!
Had read some reviews and was a little skeptical before going. I was pleasantly surprised as we selected from a New Year’s Eve special menu and found are dinners to be delicious. I had salmon and my wife a vegetarian crepe. Our cocktails were very good and priced fairly. Excellent dessert also. If you eat in the bar area it is extremely noisy. I would recommend requesting to eat in the dining area when making a reservation. Overall it was a good experience. Our waitress Kristen was fantastic.
A bit noisier than we would have liked, but it was New Year's Eve. The food was fantastic; the duck was some of the best I've ever had. The dining room is smaller than the bar area with high top table and chairs, so space can be at a premium. Engaging ambiance with a bit of an old Hollywood style flair. Overall, a very enjoyable evening. We had a limited choice for NYE reservations and this turned out to be a real find.
Always busy but never crowded or rushed , they were able to accommodate us for fine dining on short notice. Portions are large, presentation and preparation refined and imaginative; service uneven but generally good. Excellent selection of wines by the glass.
Our server was fantastic and food excellent. Highly recommend
A special dinner for a birthday/Christmas eve. There was a special menu for the evening that had enough variety for anyone's taste. We were seated very close to our reservation time, the food and service were great. Prime rib, roasted hen and lamb were enjoyed at our table. The portions were also generous. The specialty drinks are even better. I have been there before for happy hour, which is also amazing. This was definitely a good choice for Christmas eve.
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend
The menu and service NEVER disappoint. The chef is innovative and consistently challenges the norm. Service is always friendly and mindful of your wants and needs offering recommendations and options for your consideration. Truly a location we travel to time and time again.
