Remington's Ratings and Reviews
My daughter and I took advantage of Jersey Shore restaurant week. We were seated right next to other people which was rather uncomfortable. Because the management said the special menu would only be honored until 7:00 pm,it got very noisy and crowded.
The dessert was heavenly 💝🍮
Visited for the first time during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week, exploring new places. Prix fixe menu included mostly selections also seen on regular menu. All dishes were well prepared, nicely presented and quite delicious. Service is attentive, but above all friendly. Ambience is that of a comfortable neighborhood bistro. A winner! We’ll be back.
We were a party of four ladies visiting during Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. None of us had been here before. It was a wonderful experience. Awesome food selections on the Prix Fixed menu for Restaurant Week. Great drink selections, I chose a wine recommended by Yvonne, our waitress, that was excellent. Speaking of Yvonne, she was knowledgeable and attentive to every need. It is a little loud but not over-bearing. Definitely recommend, definitely will return. We're already talking about trying it for Happy Hour!
Our server Karen, was great. Squash soup was excellent. Scallops were ok. My fillet was nice. Added the lobster, very small but only $9.00.. Creme Brulle was great. Karen added a dessert dinner the cappuccino machine wasn't working. All in all very nice...However, it is pricey.
We tried Remingtons after looking at their Jersey Shore Restaurant Week Menu. I really enjoyed my meal, however my husband had 2 dishes come out very overcooked. He order the Gnocchi with Lamb Bolognese. The Gnocchi were actually burnt, as they must have tossed them in the pan before serving. He also ordered his steak medium rare. It came out well done and his fingerling potatoes were so burnt he could not finish them. It was the first time I have ever seen him leave a potato on his plate. The pluses were the service was very good and our deserts and cappuccinos were excellent. We were disappointed because we expected the restaurant to showcase themselves for restaurant week and they definitely did not.
Excellent shrimp cocktail had perfect texture and tasty cocktail sauce. I never enjoy eating salmon out I usually I eat it for health reasons but tonight was special. Loved it. Music in background from lounge made night relaxing . Overall I recommend eating here
We go here often. This time, we had very accommodating service and interesting, tasty meals. The food is among the best in the Manasquan area, but not up to New York City or Brooklyn standards. Drinks were excellent. There were several empty tables and the noise level was very low, which we enjoyed. Many of the shore restaurants are almost impossible to have a conversation in. You can watch sports if you sit at the bar. We sat at the high tables in the bar area and watched the band, a 3-piece group playing music from the 60's.
I have eaten in Remington’s many times and have never had a bad meal. I was completely surprised at the mediocrity of my dinner last night. Appetizers were fair, soup and salad. We ordered steak for the main course. My husband’s tenderloin was flavorless and inexplicably cut in half upon arrival at the table. My strip steak was ordered medium rare and arrived medium well. It was covered in so much raw shaved horseradish that it looked like grated cheese. We were also swarmed by fruit flies throughout the meal. We were so disappointed in the meal that we did not stay for dessert. I will not be back for awhile, if ever. Service was excellent. Maybe they changed the chef????
Came here on the recommendation of a good friend. Bar was hopping. Excellent drinks were served quickly. They honored our reservation for 6 people on time.
We were lucky to meet Yvonne, who took brilliant care of us throughout the night.
Food was good. An app of grilled octopus looked sensational but oddly enough had no crunch. The mussels were very good. Our main of Duck was excellent and we’d order this dish again.
All in all we had a very fun night (thank you again Yvonne), and definitely will return- we’re going to come back to try their whole duck dinner!
Booked a reservation for 6 on a Saturday evening, as my family was meeting my gf's. Needless to say this place never disappoints, we have been here multiple times and each time we leave full, and happy. My gf doesn't eat seafood but the diverse menu allowed her to find multiple other dishes she loved, for example the perfectly prepared filet mignon. I got the daily special which was an awesome fluke dish, beautifully prepared and presented. l also got the calamari as an appetizer and she got the soup of the day, topped off with a few nicely prepared cocktails. The rest of our party enjoyed their dishes as well and will be back in the future. The vibe in this place is unique as one side is a casual bar and the other is a more "high-end," dining experience complete with live music. Don't let the price discourage you as the portions are very respectable and wonderfully prepared. 100% would reccommend. -Jason
Food was very good and service was just a bit slow but good. Music and singing from guitar player was very good. Went there to celebrate my birthday with my wife but no acknowledgement of the occasion. Price is a bit of a drawback but food made up for it. Luckily on Wednesday you can bring your own bottle with no corkage fee.
Went there for my wife's birthday. We were all surprised by the great service, great food and the live entertainment. This was not considered out for dinner, but a great dining experience. Our servers were well mannered and pleasant. The facility was impeccably neat and clean, and tastefully decorated. You will see us often.
Met our friends for dinner and our table was ready, Our server Luke, was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He was there when we needed him, did not rush us our food came our in a timely manner and everyone was very pleased with the dinner from start to finish. We don't get down to Manasquan often, but we will certainly return to Remington's when we can.
We've never been disappointed with the food at Remington's. They serve delicious, creative dishes. The ambiance is happy and upbeat. The music is always enjoyable. As a vegan, it's a pleasure to be able to dine with my non-vegan friends and all go home satisfied. Remington's always put one vegan option on the menu. (or vegetarian that can be made vegan). I ordered the delicious beet salad because the waitress said my mushroom crepe dish didn't come with a salad when indeed it did. I ended up paying for an extra salad. All in all, I wasn't terribly disappointed because it was very good.
Saturday night with friends . We all enjoyed the music while still able to have a dinner conversation. We asked and prefer to sit at a table in the side room, you can hear the music but not as loud as sitting at high tops in bar area ,which is very popular . The waitress was pleasant and helpful with the menu. oyster special and salads were enjoyed by all ,mixed reviews on the steak. flavor was superb however, no one received the correct temperature they asked for. I asked for my scallops to be cooked a little more than seared and they were delicious.I loved them . nice wine list
Good food, pleasant atmosphere, nice waiter and reasonable prices. One suggestion. Remove the mirror behind our table in the dining room. One guest was temporarily "blinded" by the sun shining in the window and reflecting off the mirror directly onto his face/eyes. Quite uncomfortable for him. How about a nice picture instead? Otherwise a nice evening with friends.
Very good but new chef changed menu. We were regulars. No longer offer my favorite ceasar salad. Salad options are a bit strange. No house and no ceasar for the basic salad eater. My steak was outstanding. Scallops seasoning was a little sweet for oyr liking. We will give it another try soon. It was always one of our favorite local spots.
Came on a recommendation. When we walked in, the entry is directly into the bar which felt odd. But, everything went very well.
We sat in the dining area but could hear the music in the bar to our pleasure. The food was fine. Service was excellent. Very polite and attentive.
We then went back to bar high tops for a cocktail and enjoy the music. The owner stopped by the table and discussed the restaurant and all the bands etc that come.
EVERYONE of the employees were outstanding and the bar/band was most fun playing music from the 70s. Singles and couples.
Definitely a fun place to go.
We have always enjoyed the food and excellent wine and special award winning cocktails. Our seared scallops was very good but there is a new chef and diners next to us had to send their meals back because they was over cooked. The staff was very understanding and cooperative. I think I would tell my friends to wait and give the new chef time to adjust. I would stop in for happy hour and/or the entertainment anytime. The staff is very friendly too.
