The food is always well prepared. The waitress was very accommodating with our departure time - salad and main course arrived perfectly so we could leave when we needed to. Was able to get reservation for 4 on Saturday on short notice.
I did not have a great dining experience and had to send something back twice and still it was overdone, but the food here is good. The happy hour is great, one of the owners wanted very badly to make us happy and he was very kind. We refused being comped so he brought us an after dinner drink which was appreciated.
The place was not crowded to there was no excuse for cold food and over cooked food. They need to address that problem in the kitchen.
Looking forward to an excellent meal with my husband. Remington’s is our favorite “go to” for an excellent meal, ambience and service. So this evening was quite a disappointment. We ordered the lobster bisque, which had this weird taste, we were told it was sherry. Nonetheless we sent it back. A first for us in 8 years! My husband had the haddock special and I the salmon off the menu. Both were flavorless. I found the salmon accompaniments CLUMSY, chick peas, yes but perhaps puréed? Cauliflower too, again perhaps puréed. Staff has a lot of new faces, the two at the front door..not a plus. Seems like a new chef perhaps.
We were there for Happy Hour. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We had delicious drinks and small plates from the Happy Hour menu. Prices were very reasonable and we enjoyed a very relaxing, fun visit. We will be back!
Always reliable. Nice menu, reasonable prices, good by the glass wine selection. Salmon and tuna main courses, burrata and oysters for apps — all good, and with good service.
Love this place. Never disappoints. Yvonne is the best server ever.
The food was excellent we really enjoyed the evening.
Very nice local Manasquan bar/restaurant. Remington's is a cut above the usual very casual joints in the area. Happy Hour is a bit hit. Good drinks and wine selection plus 1/2 price apps such as coconut shrimp, a tasty flatbread/pizza, cheese plate, etc. Staff is hit or miss. This night it it was miss. Live music adds to ambiance. Tuesday nights $50 plus bottles are half price …. this is a very good deal as they offer some outstanding wines choices.
Remington’s is such a special place for great food and service and a fun evening!
Really enjoyed our time here tonight. Food was delicious and plentiful. Service was excellent and manager stopped by to see how things were. Will definitely be back. Enjoyed the live music as well and was appreciative that it was too too loud so we could still have a conversation.
The music was MUCH too loud! Disappointed in the crumb with ice cream dessert. Main entrees were good
It truly wasn’t good at all. One of the worst experiences my mother and I have had. The server would not clear plates unless we asked. Then he never came to check on our appetizer (calamari) which we were not a fan of. Most of it was not fully breaded and it was super fishy and rubbery. We barely ate it and he never asked if anything was wrong. My mom sat without a soda for a good ten minutes but we could hear him in the other room chatting it up. She got the surf and turf special and she said the filet was good but the lobster was over cooked. My New York strip was one of the worst I had. Not very well seasoned, some bites were good but seems like they just threw peppercorn on top. Again server no where to be found we waited ten to fifteen minutes for him to come over so we could get a box. Overall not very impressed especially for being a shore restaurant.
Excellent food, service and entertainment in manasquan. Celebrated our anniversary here and the staff and manager couldn't have been nicer. Have been here a number of times and am never disappointed.
Delicious food, excellent menu and friendly staff I definitely recommend Remington’s.
As usual food and service terrific. Loved the musician on Tuesday nite. Perfect volume and loved songs. Will be back!
Service was impeccable; food was delicious. I have serious food allergies and the waiter was very attentive and considerate of my needs. He made very helpful suggestions and steered me away from what would be bad choices for me. Everyone really enjoyed the food and the bottle of house chardonney was very good. The salads were fresh, creative and very tasty. Even though it was Mother's Day, we didn't feel like we were being gouged with a "special" high priced menu. Everything was very reasonable; nice sized portions, great quality ingredients; very delicious.
excellent dinner on Mother's day. Staff very attentive. The Lobster Bisque should not be missed and the Shrimp and Scallop Rosa fabulous.
My only experience was on Mother’s Day when a special menu for the day was in effect. It was a wonderful first visit too. We were greeted so kindly by the host, then seated immediately (at regular tables as we requested) at our reservation time. We were met with a very attentive waiter and bus staff who checked up on our table and refilled water glasses as needed. All silverware was changed for each course and the meals were spectacular. Every one of us was very pleased with not only the presentation of our meals but the amazing flavors and cooking each one to perfection. Nothing was overdone. We were even greeted by the very pleasant owner/manager that day to ask how our meals were, and I have to say, even the desserts shined.
If I could complain about anything that day (and I am pushing it), it would be that many of the items on the menu for the day had crustaceans in them from the only soup offered that day, lobster bisque, to shrimp added to just about all the appetizers and even the meals. For anyone with a shellfish allergy or intolerance, having so much shrimp, crab and lobster make up the menu was uninviting. I am sure the regular weekday menu is not as limited, and I would return again in a minute. BTW the tuna was perfection.
I recommend Remington’s highly.
excellent food, pleasant service, but a little slow the night I was there. Noisy environment, but I think that may have been due a one particularly large noisy table. First time there, will definitely return.
Great music, great good, fun time!!! Excellent service!
Great food, great service. My only complaint is that the live music was extremely loud for the dinner hour. We were seated at the regular tables, not in the bar and it was too loud.
Always an excellent time! Service, food quality and atmosphere thank you!
We had a delicious meal and excellent service looking forward to Going back soon :)
Service was not very attentive as not enough staff.
Calamari appetizer was one of the best we've ever had. Service was great.
It was really nice, started off quiet but noise level increased as people were showing up for their reservations, food was fantastic.
Rack of lamb was the best I’ve ever had. My guest loved the lobster risotto, both meals were gluten free. They have a delicious gluten free flourless chocolate cake dessert, they offered for free since one of us was having a birthday:) great place.
Visited during restaurant week as it was more affordable
Excellent jersey shore restaurant menu. We were eight persons and everyone loved the food. Our waitress was outstanding. Will definitely be back
Made a reservation for 2 on high table, disappointed to be seated up against wall. The “table for 2” next to us was on top us us with 3 people. Had hard time trying to get onto seat because the girl was practically on my chair. I understand that it was “ happy hour “ time, but I made reservations for dinner. Wasn’t given option to switch into dining room. Otherwise, food was very good.
Went for restaraunt week. There was live music and a great menu. Only down side was, it was 1/2 price wine night and we would have like to have heard about that before we ordered our drinks. Service wasn't awful by any means just could have been a little more attentive. Will be back!
All our Food was delish, Great restaurant, except when we were seated ...No one came to take our order, we had to ask the hostess if we had a server or not... By the time She got to us.. we all knew what we wanted , But She did apologize, as our table was not Hers. Would go back again .
We visited during restaurant week so it was understandably busy. We would have had a few at the bar before sitting, but they wanted us to sit and order so they could turn the table. No problem. Totally understand. It definitely saved us some money and we had no hangover the next day.
The food was excellent. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed. The server was personable and attentive. We were attending a play at the Alconquin Theater and Remington's location was very convenient to it, within walking distance. The only thing was the restaurant was quite noisy, but not totally offensive.
It was very loud, I guess it was Friday night, several tables of drunk 🥴 people shouting at each other. I guess they’ve turned the place into a pub. Sad as the music was beautiful, when you could hear it!
The food was fabulous as ever but I’m not sure I like being there anymore.
Did not honor our reservation on time. while there were two available tables. This was the second time we have had a reservation problem. We made a reservation for New Years Eve over a month in advance and were called 2 weeks before that the had to cancel. We should have learned our lesson.
Went to this restaurant years ago when it was Mahogany. It was excellent then and wanted to try the new model for a long time. Had a 5:45 rezzie as we had no lunch and wanted to avoid the crowd. The 2 people at the reservation desk ignored us as they seemed to be preoccupied. Another person finally seated us. Later the owner was table touching and we spoke to him . Very nice place but as we sat at a high top near the bar, because the bar crowd was 2-3 levels deep , there was bumping and not the most relaxing dinner. The live jazz was great . Wished I could of heard it better over the crowd. Service was excellent, a rarity these days.
Pretty impressed with Remington's...went on a whim when I saw that Opentable rated it as a hot spot, and I have thought about my dish for the last couple of days - Cajun shrimp with bacon grits. Wow. I was able to add on fish for an extra $14. So, I gave it a shot. The add-on option was Snapper, and I asked if they could blacken it and include it on same plate as Cajun Shrimp. I rarely order Shrimp and I can say I was thrilled.
My wife ordered the Scottish Salmon and she enjoyed that too. Oysters were just okay...mildly disappointed in that, but still ate em all. Was happy that they offered blue-cheese stuffed olives for my martini.
Would recommend and would go back.
first time there---food was very good and our server very attentive. We will definitely go back
Excellent service. Our server was quite well informed and polite and also given us wonderful wine suggestions. The salmon was cooked perfectly. A bit noisy but also nice to hear music.
