Dinner took a little long, but we all enjoyed ourselves and would go again. Our waitress was excellent.
Burger was overcooked. Prices were high for what you get.
Delicious food. Only issues were they only had 2 high chairs in the restaurant. It wasn’t even busy when we went and we still had to wait awhile to get a high chair for one of the babies in our party. A mistake was made twice on my sisters burger but they made it right and comped her meal and gave her free dessert.
Waitress was incompetent. Kitchen staff was incompetent. It took an hour to serve us, when they were very few people there. They didn’t bring out drinks in the meantime, and they didn’t bring out our appetizer either. Then when they finally served us, they forgot one of the four entrées. At that point they didn’t really seem to realize it was an inconvenience, and spent another 20 minutes bringing it out even though we had said not to bother. Then they said they would not charge us for the late entrée. Finally they did the right thing and wrote the entire meal off. But I’d rather pay $200 than eat for free under these conditions.
Don’t go there. Don’t ever go there. As soon as this restaurant closes and is replaced by something else—an expansion of the parking lot, say—the better.
It was our very first time dining at Relish. Excellent service and great food! Huge thanks to our server...and the chef.
Bar inside the Westin in Portland.. quiet, only two other patrons there. The burgers were wonderful! The fries and rings lukewarm but on a chilly night, the burgers just hit the spot!
Food was very good, but it was very slow to get drinks and food. Appetizers were delivered minutes before the entree's. It was good, but not sure I would go back.
A lot of time sitting without attention:
We arrived on Sunday and were seated promptly at 11:15. There was no one at the tables within 12 feet of us until much later. This is important to note. It was NOT busy, even though it was before a Paramount musical at 1 pm.
The food was good and prepared to our liking. Presentation was ok.
What was not to our standards was that our server was apparently doing "double-duty" elsewhere and there were gaps of 15-20 minutes or more between seating, drink selection, entree selection...and that's it. We were never asked if the food was to our liking or if we needed anything else. That, to me, is not right...the gaps in attention and then not asking if we required any assistance.
Finally, at 12:23 pm I saw the server at the terminal and asked that we have our bill prepared and provided as soon as possible as we as we did not want dessert and had a 1 pm performance to attend. He promptly provide the bill...I gave him my credit card immediately...and we left within 5 minutes.
Summation: food is find but for this instance, service was less then desirable.
It's been a while since I dined at Relish, and it didn't disappoint. My meal was very good, fresh ingredients as always. Service was excellent. My only criticism really is the noise level. It was hard for my friend and I to hear each other, and we had to raise our voice level to be heard.
Doubt that much can be done about it, but thought it was worth mentioning. The noise level won't keep me from returning however, as I love the food.
For a hotel restaurant, this place is pretty good. We had a very attentive wait person who went out of his way to make us comfortable. My only complaint about the menu is there could be a little more variety regarding the variations you can request for the build your own burger and there could be two or three more specific choices. I do recommend it for anyone, either staying at the hotel or just walking in off the street. Great table views of Seattle street life.
Good burgers and great fries. Prices are comparable to high end pubs in the city. Solid service as well.
Christmas dinner date. Restaurant was slow and never got the drink nor did my bf get his sides requested. Overpriced for what we received. Bummer for a holiday dinner date and won’t be back.
In the Westin this place is a gem! Great food , beautiful space and friendly staff! Try it !!
We made a reservation for Thanksgiving, showed up 30 minutes early and they got us to a table without any problem. The server was very professional, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable upscale casual. No complaints here.
Complete burger is fat, but very thin patty; lots of lettuce. Tasted crummy. I ordered a Jack Daniel's and coke. They served me a bar (well) whiskey flat coke. Don't recommend this place.
Went for a weekday lunch. Knowing what downtown lunch can be like, we were very pleased with the outcome. Service was quick and attentive but not rushed, and the food was delicious. All of our special food requests were accommodated and accurate (GF, dairy preference, and sauce on the side).
First time going to this restaurant. Burgers and fries were great, but only one server trying to cover about 15 tables. Felt bad for the guy, but would go there again for the food.
Food was overpriced and took a long time to come out. Drinks were never refreshed. Had to flag down waiter for to go boxes and our check.
Excellent service & food
We were seated by the window. Outside we had a disgusting view of people from the hotel smoking their brains our peering in the window watching us eat.Not good.
Good service. They were willing to sit us at two tables for adults and kids. Good food but didn’t get my ‘points’ for the reservation even though we had 11 people.
Idk about anyone else but when using opentable I peruse the menu before making a reservation. That being said... the menu on open table is NOT the same at the restaurant. When I arrived I was seated promptly and then was informed that what I was looking for (happy hour menu) was only available at the bar. Sure, that’s fine with me. What wasn’t fine was everything that I was looking for was not on the menu. To top it all off when I asked the bartender she was VERY dismissive, rude and un-interested in my question or even providing me service. Needless to say I immediately got back on opentable to find somewhere else to eat.
Both chopped salad & wedge salad were really good, tasty and very filling. The poutine & chicken wings were scrumptious.
Build ones own. Lots to chose from. I love the vegetarian options. Great wait staff. It's in the heart of the retail core. Beautiful decor. A winner.
Quiet, service was nice attentive enough. Not busy as the hotel was under renovation Have been there in the past and they have maintained the location. Chief was better than previous one
Easy reservations, nicely decorated space, and good service. And their macaroni & cheese was gluten free by default! Within walking distance of The Moore, good for a pre-show dinner.
Great bun, perfectly cooked burger, great flavor ,outstanding toppings, a great burger. Fries were good not great
Very good service.
We were looking for a local, non-chain burger restaurant that the family could experience for a Sunday afternoon dinner. Was exceptionally surprised to come across this gem located inside the Downtown Seattle Westin.
The Tot-chos (tator tot based nachos) was an absolute delight and hit with the entire family. We all tremendously enjoyed our various burgers... dad is partial to the Relish Burger. The burgers, though large, were not overwhelming and heavy on the belly. They were all a delightful mess to eat as well, finger licking, cheese dripping, napkin wiping delicious!
The Apple Pie was just Ok for dessert, but our son was thrilled with his deep dish chocolate chip cookie baked and served in a cast iron cookie skillet a la mode. The service was great AND 3 hours free valet parking. Great experience, something we will certainly do again.
Visiting Seattle and saw this had good reviews. The meal was just okay, staff a little rude when we first walked in but nothing too crazy to complain about just not very welcoming. Food was a little slow- an angry table got up and left and caused a small scene leaving cash on the table for their drinks. Veggie burger was good, fries good, drinks good. Overall just average.
Good food, unique burger toppings
Consistently good meal
Hotel bar restaurant. Casual bar food, good place to view some of the downtown city in the atrium seating area. Also a bar to watch the game. Very dimly lit, difficult to read menu although it was good for looking out to people watch. Food was delivered quickly and was garnished with visual appeal. Burgers are a la cart. Add on sweet potato fries were delicious. Service was very good.
Food was delicious. It was very busy and a large party had been seated before us so it took longer to get our food than one might expect for lunch. Fabulous burger. Loved the sweet potato fries. I'll go back when I'm not in a hurry.
Delicious burgers with Macrina Bakery buns. Hope to come back for Happy Hour.
Great service and honestly the best burgers in Seattle!
Waiter was less than thrilled to be working. Barely had the attention span to take our order before running away to hardly be seen through the dinner service.
Sort of disappointed. Okay food for the price..... but wasn't thrilled at all.
