We went for a lunch to celebrate my girlfriend's graduation. We had a reservation for right when they opened and were the first group that entered. They had a table already prepared for us with waters and menus. We ordered four different pizzas and truffle fries and all were absolutely delicious. Our servers were very polite and fast and the overall atmosphere was really cool. The only weird thing we encountered was they don't serve any diet sodas, which is understandable since they focus on craft drinks. Either way, we will definitely go back to Reilly and enjoy every second of it again!
Our party of six ate at Reilly's for lunch before a graduation convocation at UA. The food and beer were great and the service fast (and great as well)! Couldn't have asked for more! Hope to get back there another time.
We have been there many times, never disappointed. The food is great, great service, nice wine list.
Tough to recommend this restaurant. The pizza is amazing, but the service was terrible on Sat. evening Our waitress told us we would have to wait for clean wine glasses..35 minutes because at 7pm they were out. We sent back the kale salad. It was inedible Will think twice before traveling the 30/40 minutes each way next time.
I always love the pizza at Reilly. This time we tried the brussels sprouts and they were amazing!
Out of our party of 5, two were very dissapointed with their food. All three who had the iced tea said it was just colored water. All 5 of us were very disappointed in our server, her lack of concern for our complaints and lack of attention. Three from our party have no desire to ever return.
As born and bred Brooklynites, pizza isn't something we usually eat when we travel. Reilly's pizza lived up to its reputation - and more! The two of us shared 3 mini-size Happy Hour pizzas - meatball and ricotta, fennel sausage and vegan (with real cheese added) and a pappardelle entree. All were delicious but the star of the meal was the Brussels Sprouts starter - yum. Service was attentive and professional.
Pizza was awesome! We then went to the bar under the restaurant, and had the worst cocktails in the world.
Stick with beer & pizza and skip the cocktails.
Pizzas are great. Good atmosphere. Nice service ;-)
The decor was outstanding - it's a shame there's no way to rate that. The food was adequate but we're from Philadelphia which is a big foodie city with high standards... especially for pizza. The truffle fries were fun but not terribly truffly and the pizza could have been a little bigger... my husband was pleased with his fried dough dessert, but I felt the budino was a little bland. It was fine, but nothing special.
Located in a meticulously renovated funeral home (think classy, not icky), Reilly offers a fresh taste in appetizers, pizza, and great drinks, from craft beers to zany cocktail concoctions. Couldn't get enough of the creamy polenta or the mellow burratta, both of which we scooped up w delicious bread. Great beer garden out back! Some tables were created from repurposed doors and giant gears with glass tops, creating a cool vibe. We will absolutely be back!
This was our first visit to Reilly's and we'll certainly be back. The spot itself is lively and fun, with a great beer garden if the weather is right. We had the truffle fries and brussels sprouts appetizers, of which the sprouts were the best. The fries were expensive for what they were, but there was nothing wrong with them.
The pizzas were great, with a nice fire scorched crust and inventive toppings. The sauce was not as good as some I've tried, but Tucson is really starting to really take pizza to the next level, which makes the competition for the best hard to win. In most places, Reilly's would be by FAR the best.
Their bar prices are a bit on the high side, though the selection was respectable. The menu didn't advertise wine by the bottle, which would have been nice.
Even though we had a full box of leftover pizza at the end of dinner, we couldn't help ourselves and we ordered the tiramisu and cannoli. The tiramisu in a jar was typical for downtown, which means it was really good. However, the cannaoli were spectacular. It is very hard to get cannoli right, because you have to keep the shell crisp after adding the ricotta mixture. These, which came 3 to a plate, were among the best I've had.
And to top everything off, our service was friendly and quick.
All in all, a great experience!
I am so pleased with our dinning experience! our server jimmy or johhny( i can't quite remember which one) was charming ,kind and knowledgeable . We started with the buratta-the persimmons were amazing! He brought us crackers to go along side and they were quite nice as well.
We also enjoyed the roasted mushroom pizza with truffle oil and the house made pasta with kale !!!
Greta cocktails well done and creative menu I will be happy to return :)
After dinner we headed downstairs to the new Speak Easy to have a few drinks. Nicholas the bartender knew his business and was very friendly. It has a great atmosphere. Thank you, we will be back.
Love this space (an old mortuary?!) for the best pizza in town. Food is always excellent, drinks are always excellent. Check out the beer garden and speakeasy in the back!
Reilly's has never let us down. It's our favorite Tucson Pizzeria, and we've been to quite a few in Tucson. And for those non-pizza people, there's a lot more stuff to choose from. Really nice!
Fantastic! Food was excellent. Service was friendly and spot on. The Tough Luck Club (TLC) speakeasy bar made great cocktails. Overall, highly recommended!
Great service!! Excellent food. I had a great fresh veggie broth cauliflower soup spicy and delicious.
My wife and I went here on the recommendation of a vegan friend of ours. He raved about the craft beer garden and said the food was good. We decided to try it so I booked a reservation on a Saturday early evening and we went. We were promptly seated upon arrival and brought menus along with water. Our waitress came by and took my beer order while we browsed the menu. Upon first glance we thought, "Oh no. What did we get ourselves into as all we could see were dishes dominated by vegetables or so we thought. Our waitress came over and recommended that we try an appetizer with a salad and a pizza. We got the tomato toast, a mixed greens salad and the margarita pizza. The toast was like a bruschetta only with finely chopped tomatoes on top with an olive oil drizzle. It was excellent! The salad was mixed greens with gorgonzola cheese, pecan brittle and green apple. Delicious! The pizza was small squares of mozzarella, a great tasting tomato based sauce and basil with a perfect crust. Absolutely amazing! Our waitress nailed it as far as the portion of food for the two of us. It was just the right amount where we felt full but not stuffed. We were both very impressed with the quality and taste of the food and will definitely be back with our friends and relatives who have not tried this little haven of happiness.
Reilly's was constructed in a building that used to be a funeral parlor....thus the name and original facade. The inside could not be more different, however. Hip, trendy decor with open kitchen give the place a busy feel but the noise level is never high. The pizza compares with the best of Italy as they only use fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and homemade sauces. The"small plates" are a joy, particularly the meatballs, kale Caesar salad, and tomato toast. For small entrees try the pasta with short ribs, or the linguine bolanese. For desert the fried dough with Nutella is to die for. The beer and wine selection is fairly large...oh and the service is more than adequate. This is the kind of neighborhood place that you would go to once a week and never tire of it.
Great service, food and drinks - love the Brussels sprouts
Food was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the different beers sold there. Pleasant surroundings. Will come again!!!
Cool place to drink
If you like craft pizza's and craft beer, this is the place. Very interesting use of ingredients. The Happy Hour special of a %5 personal pizza is a very good deal. The vegan pizza was wonderful. Fun atmosphere knowing that this used to be a funeral home. They did a great job with the restoration. It is very nice.
Don't you always long for a restaurant that is consistently good, every time you dine? Reilly's is that kind of place. We never hesitate to take our out of town guests here. On a recent visit, we arrived early and went down to the new bar to wait for our table and have a drink. If I had any criticism at all it would be the drink, that was not properly shaken and not cold enough. We got a text when the table was ready, (nice) and enjoyed wine, salads and great pizza. Thanks Reilly for being a dependable and down right good!
The place just doesn't hum with service and food. Is it a pizza parlor or more??? Don't mind spending $11 for a cocktail, but I do when I feel like it's in a communion glass. I think they should stick to pizza and let the fancy food and drinks go....
This was our first time eating at Reilly, and were were quite satisfied. The pizza ingredients were fresh and the crust was cooked just right. Our appetizer, roasted Brussel sprouts with hot sauce and pecan brittle crumbs, was one of the best Brussel sprout dishes we've ever had. The beer list is eclectic and high quality. The room is a fine example of historic preservation and fine renovation, and has a nice open feel. The only shortcoming this visit was the delay in getting our initial drinks; the appetizer was served first. Otherwise, the service was friendly and professional.
We went to Reilly, most recently, for dinner while our friend was in from out of town. Reilly is a great local spot that has delicious food! The atmosphere is great and the service is very attentive. The owner even sent over a complimentary dessert for the special occasion. I have gone back time and time again and am never disappointed.
Our second time dining here. The pizza is very good. On their menu they describe 8 wines on tap, 4 red and 4 white. They were out of two different reds, it was only a Thursday night. C'mon y'all seriously? Make sure to check out the beer garden and tough luck club basement bar
The food is very good. We've had pizza, salad, pasta and appetizers. The brussel sprout appetizer and vegan pizza are favorites. Cocktails are tasty as well. The service is good although they can be too eager clearing dishes especially when you've paused in your eating. A reservation is pretty much required on the weekend. The main downfall I have is the noise level. When it's busy you have to strain to hear the person across the table.
Had been looking forward to this dinner all day. Food yummy. Salads were excellent. But server told us that some ingredients were not available and so what we wanted couldn't be had. This was a Tuesday. We all thought the restaurant should have been better stocked. I had a long wait for a simple glass of wine. And this was my second choice. Others wanted to order another drink but were afraid the wait would be too long. We thought server didn't seem to be entirely enjoying his job and it reflected in his demeanor. Tables are situated pretty closely together and just a tad more room would be nice, especially for elderly and people in wheelchairs. We all decided we probably wouldn't come again for dinner but would be willing to try lunch.
excellent pizza, we got the vegan, the brussel sprouts which had been recommended we found too salty
This is a great place to take out of town friends. People from big cities are surprised Tucson has some really good restaurants. Thank you. The staff is great. Kudos to all you people.
Great Pizza, loved the local beers, and delightful wait staff. Loved the old building that it's in too.
I had the wood fire pizza this time and really enjoyed it. Our server was very helpful. Everyone enjoyed the evening.
Make mo mistake. We really enjoyed Reilly's. The salads were excellent. The cavatelli was great.. The two pizzas were very good. So, why the "but"? We found the actual menu was considerably smaller than the on-line version. This presented an issue for those members of our party who had never been to Reilly's, examined the on-line menu, and saw items they would have liked to have. On the other hand, our wonderful server actually had the kitchen make one of our favorite apps that was on the on-line menu but not the restaurant's actual menu. Be sure to ask for the shrimp and grits!
This was our second time back in five months and it was just as great as the first time. We came with the same couple we came with five months ago. I didn't see the shrimp and grits on the menu but Lauren our server, said they could fix it up so I was not disappointed! My husband had a pizza and we each shared a bit and it was very flavorful. We love Reilly's and will be back again.
It was our first visit. The staff, ambiance, and food such as yukon gold potato pizza was excellent. I would skip the Tito's Vodka however. The Tito's shot tasted as if someone replaced the real stuff with something cheap with a nasty aftertaste. This is not a cheap place but it was worth every cent with the exception of the Tito's. One surprise was that this is no ordinary pizza place and marinara sauce doesn't come on the pizza unless it's listed. What's listed on the menu is what you get. We didn't mind the surprise, but only the yukon gold pizza was eaten, the crimmini mushroom got trashed when we returned home. We are not ones to complain during service. Loved the vibe, the outdoor seating, the kind wait staff and hostess. We made reservations, however it wasn't an overly busy night. We called ahead to let the hostess know we were running late and she was more than kind to accomodate us and appreciated the alert. I would definately try this place if you haven't already. We are planning a return trip.
It is almost too loud to hold a conversation with a table of four if you are inside. Outside is probably better.
Reilly's Craft Pizza is always fun. The space is set up really well so the dining room has both an open feel and is active and fun. A real good vibe. Food at Reilly's is all about choices because everything is so good - start with the chef's board, have a salad too and then figure out how to split up dinner to taste as much as you can! The bill is easy and great parking too across the street.
