The water was great, always hot coffee and plenty of it. Omelet was delicious and the brazilian cook making it was very friendly!
Plenty of different food! Best chocolate cake; nice and light. Carving station was excellent, beef especially paired with the mild sauce was awesome. The scones were delicious!
I didn't get to the shrimp station but will next time!
Dinner was excellent, although main course was a bit delayed and we had to rush to make our show. Be sure to allow more than an hour and a half for dinner to enjoy the experience.
Had great service. The wait staff was great and not intrusive. Menu option good with some local flavor. Had crabcakes and thet were some of the best I have ever eaten.
I took my husband for Brunch and I we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. I can't wait to take my parents.
Excellent time for my fiancé and I. Relaxed setting, wonderful jazz band, and the food was excellent.
Same as always...a great meal. Extra bonus points: we were originally seated a little to close to the live piano music. Staff quickly dealt with out problem and gave us seats farther away, which was no small deal because one person was on a rollator (tricked-up walker), so some normal choices wouldn't have worked.
We were there to celebrate my girlfriend's mother's birthday. Her parents live in Martinsville and had never been there for Sunday brunch. They loved it! Thank you.
The host was rude- stopped by the night before to schedule a reservation for breakfast the next morning. There was no one in line. Once we said we wanted to make a reservation for breakfast he said to step to the side and wait. He then waited for other diners for the evening dinner to arrive and seated them. Incredibly disrespectful. That left a poor impression. Each guest should be treated with respect. Other than that, breakfast buffet was nice. Sitting outside on a pleasant day was worthwhile. Would not seek out breakfast but if in area again would go back.
They made a special night fantastic. My parents 64th Anniversary and we had a party of 11.
Katie was outstanding. We will definitely do it again.
Excellent!! Great food, great service. Took my mother there for 79th birthday, she loved it!
The six of us went for the Sunday brunch. We had relatives visiting from out-of-town and wanted to do something special. The food selection was great. There was a complete breakfast selection as well as a full lunch selection. Everything we ate was delicious. Our waiter was wonderful. We enjoyed the piano music while we ate. We ended the meal with delightful desserts. We will definitely return soon.
This is a classic. The food truly reflects dishes from Virginia and Drew is always a pleasure to have as a waiter. I think he has waited on us all five times we have been there. The soups are divine and the sorbet trio is delicious and interesting.
Food was absolutely delicious. Such great service from time we pulled up for valet parking, hostess and restaurant service, all in all a great experience.
Although this is a wonderfully elegant space, and the live jazz combo on weekends is exceptional, the food is terrible. Worst meal we've had in months, and very expensive. I don't mind paying for the atmosphere and service, but they should be able to hire a competent chef at these prices.
Wow did we have a fantastic meal at the Hotel Roanoke! It was my wife’s birthday and it couldn’t have been a nicer evening. Our waitress was name Katie and she was fantastic. She made recommendations that we took advantage of and had perfect timing the whole evening. We spent two hours enjoying everything about our time. Wow was the food fantastic. From soup to appetizer to main dish and even a desert. Thank you to your whole staff
It was a super evening. Drew, our server, is attentive and friendly. He always remembers what we like. And the chef saved fresh grouper for us when he read that we were coming for dinner. And he created a special dish for us. Happy memories. We will return soon.
I had seen very mixed reviews so though my experience there in the last few years had improved, I was uneasy with what I had read as we went for a special occasion. The server provided friendly and excellent service during the Sunday brunch. I had no disappointments with the food except the breakfast potatoes were “warm” at best. The prime rib was perfect and hot. The chicken in artichoke cream sauce(is what I remember) was very good. There was a range of entrees and sides as well as breakfast options. The omelette station was good. We had an 11:30 am reservation so we had no waits there or other stations. The pianist provided background music that I enjoyed.
We have visiting Hotel Roanoke on and off for over forty years and never get tired of the atmosphere or the friendly staff. Dinner in the Regency Room was exceptional from the food to the service. Looking forward to our next visit sometime in the future!
The Regency Room was outstanding in every way. Food and service were excellent, the menu provided a variety of locally sourced options, and the ambiance hearkened back to a bygone era of elegance. Highly recommended for a special occasion!
Brunch for 8 was simply spectacular! Our servers were attentive but not intrusive. We had plenty of time to enjoy the food and spend time with our friends.
Especially good bread pudding and sauce!
We also enjoyed the Philly Steak Salad - - unexpected combination but tasty. Hope it stays as a salad option.
Great server, Crystal. Dreadful tasting food on buffet which, it was announced after 45 min into our meal, would close in 15 min. A facility of this stature serving lunch only till 2pm should not accept 1pm reservations.
Monday night dining with my parents, just arrived from South Carolina to look into the area. Very slow service, in spite of a sparse crowd. Sent my overpriced filet back because it was cooked medium well instead of medium rare. Unimaginative presentation. Dad should have, but did not send his filet back for being overcooked and dry. Very disappointing experience, especially since I’m trying to get the folks too move here!
Took my daughter for a special breakfast on her 10th birthday. The waiter and staff were wonderful and really made the occasion memorable.
Another great get-together with an old (we've known each other since 1971) friend. My rating on the food was only because the spoonbread was a little off Sunday. The service was more than outstanding...I use a rollator and the staff was very accommodating. We'll be back...
We had a wonderful experience!
The service was fabulous and the food was prepared perfectly.
My husband and I celebrate our anniversary at The Regency Room every year. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for the occasion. Our waiter was very efficient and kind. Hotel Roanoke is such a beautiful place to visit!
My mother used a gift certificate to take my husband and me to the Grand Sunday Brunch buffet in the Regency Room this past Sunday.
It was wonderful!! Great selection of both breakfast and lunch foods (including an omelette bar and a carving station).
There were also several great dessert options.
The service was excellent. Could not have been better.
Delicious Southern Cuisine!!! Love the spoon bread, soup and the salad! Outstanding service!!!
Our dinner at The Regency Room was a splendid experience. The service was helpful, polite, and thorough. They upheld a level of class that is becoming rare.
Our service was horrible. Even taking into consideration that we were there for the Sunday buffet, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our first drink order. Our waiter seemed more preoccupied with the back room and clearing tables. We then waited on our second drink before to get a second plate, which meant waiting about another 20 minutes on our second drink. This was a special occasion for us, being parents of a toddler who don't get out much on our own (we had hired a sitter). And waiter Bobby ruined the experience by ignoring us the entire time. In the end, we wound up paying up front, as he also managed to forget to collect the check.
You guys have the thing going. This is the best dining experience in Roanoke. Overall excellent. Also you might set out some dishes that have a bit of zing.
Craig, Skip, and Casey has & have always been my favorite service members. They work as a team to make sure your meal & atmosphere is perfection.
Great visit, crab cake excellent, grouper good but a bit dry. Great sophisticated atmosphere for special occasions.
Our server, Drew, was amazing he made our experience perfect and memorable. Would come back in a heartbeat!!
Every aspect of our Sunday brunch was first rate. Service was outstanding. Food was par excellence. We plan to make it a regular Sunday experience.
This is my favorite place for lunch in Roanoke. Everything is great and there's something everyone would like. Desserts, salads and peanut soup are my faves. Friday the buffet included a pork tenderloin with a molasses demi glaze that was wonderful!
Excellent breakfast buffet!! The smoked salmon was moist and delicious. The eggs were cooked to my special order. Service was friendly and helpful... a wonderful breakfast experience!
Wonderful wait staff..brody was a perfect gentleman and did a wonderful job at making our evening perfect. Great food, service and experience.
Live music and wonderful food! An excellent experience!!
