I had seafood chowder that was good. Main course was broiled seafood. Portions were small but good. Sides of creamed spinach and spicy rice. Very good sides.
We've been going to Reel Seafood for years, and this was the first time we were a little disappointed.
I always get salmon, but this time it was very fishy tasting.
I also thought the price was quite high for one piece of fish and no salad.
Hi Pamela, I am so sorry to hear about your experience on September 8. I would like to hear more of your feedback offline and invite you back to our restaurant. Please contact me at (518) 458-2068 Thank you, Kevin Lynch Restaurant Manager
Not for brunch. Food was awful. Service was OK. Very disappointing.
Very loud and was not able to sit out side like requested.
The food was excellent but market price was high.
Waitress was some what attentive how did not refill drinks or check in enough.
Would go back for a special occasion.
Disappointing. Oysters not opened cleanly and had pieces of the shell in most. Waitress didn’t tell us where they were from which we expected since the menu did not specify. Caprese salad consisted of a less than farm fresh tomato thinly sliced and slices of a mozzarella log similar to that which we get at Sams Club or the grocery store. The Cioppino was tasty but since our server never checked on us or asked if we needed anything, we never had a water refill or extra bread to soak up the sauce. With so few seafood options in the area, it is disappointing that this conveniently located spot is now crossed off our list.
Very romantic setting , loved the food and good service. We will be back in next few months to try other items on menu.
As always, the freshness of the seafood was excellent. The ahi tuna dish was way too salty. Service was okay, but staff had to be reminded several times about specific requests. These things were minor. We look forward to always stopping in when we are in the area.
Food was great. Waitress gave us plenty of time to talk. Did not rush us. Would definitely go back again when in the area.
Good waiter & good food. We are frequent visitors. Never disappointed
Excellent food and dining experience, never been there before and none of my guests had been there, we will all be back ...loved it!!! The food was awesome!
Food is always excellent and well prepared. I like the new Poke bowls on the brunch menu. There are many new selections that we look forward to trying.
I took my family to have dinner this past Saturday evening. We really enjoyed the service and the food. Thank you
The food was good but overpriced for what we got. Extra charge for asparagus and it was not cooked well and the portion was small. Scallops were good, cooked just right. The seafood with pasta was a good dish, once again the plates were overpriced. The waitress was inexperienced and the service was very slow for a relatively quiet restaurant. The restaurant isn't bad, it's just not worth the premium prices.
Fabulous menu, delicious food, beautifully presented. Wait staff perfect. Highly recommend!
Shrimp cocktail was not fresh. Coconut shrimp over cooked. We had party of four, all dessert ordered not available at 6:00 pm because hadn't been defrosted yet.
Pretty sad for an expensive meal.
We have been to a Reel Seafood often, sometimes the two of us, other times with family. We have never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious and plentiful. Desserts are wonderful. We sat near the bar but the noise level was not too bad. My only complaint is that I could not order my perfect manhattan because the bar was out of dry vermouth! How does that happen? I ordered a glass of white wine instead, good, but not really my drink. I recommend Reel Seafood to anyone who loves fresh seafood.
Your email said we missed our appointment but we did not. We 4 (plus friends’ dog) had excellent lunch at Reel Seafood fri about 12:45 to 2:40. They must have neglected to record our arrival. It was a bit confused because friends arrived with dog and went to patio while we entered main door and then went to patio from inside.
Service from the kitchen was slow.
Great atmosphere with very good food.
The food at Reel Seafood is consistently above average. Tonight was no exception. The fresh oysters were spot on -nice combination of briny and sweet. Service this evening was disappointing. Server was disinterested and mailed it in. Worse service I have ever had here.
All of the oysters and clams were very fresh. I also had the stand out chocolate banana pie. Delicious!
Waiter was preoccupied with other tables & did not concentrate on ours. We had a table of 10, never received bread basket on our table, he was in too much of a rush & it was noticeable. He seemed a little off from the get go....maybe his first large table? We should have had a more experienced server ( especially if your going to add on a 20% tip).
We were able to walk to the restaurant from our hotel. Our waiter, Austin was very attentive, engaging and took care of us. The food was very good and I was quite happy with my grouper. My husband and I would definitely go again, the next time we are in the area.
Our waiter was quite good, we did have to wait a bit to be acknowledged once we were sat and have a drink order taken. Drinks were very good. Our waiter was very patient and checked back to answer questions and see if we were ready a couple times without rushing us. One complaint was that we ordered an appetizer, salads and entrees and the appetizer and salads were bought together, also the food runner system with the runner not quite knowing who gets what....I don’t think one should have to request that the appetizer be served first...( 20 years serving in all types of restaurants here :)
Wine was good and he was smart enough to notice our glasses almost empty and suggest another drink. ( seriously not being sarcastic here, he was great, but it happens so often that I sit at a table with an empty glass, why would the server not want to add two more drinks to their check??) We had the tuna, the fish was good, tuna a little past seared in my opinion but very tasty. The rolls and interesting butter were great too! All in all a lovely dinner.
I had the seafood Cobb salad. Yummy. Husband had oyster st Charles. Just okay. Waiter was excellent and had fun with him. He was very patient with diner at another table who was a real pain in the neck
We ate outside and we’re the only people out their. No placemats or set ups or salt or pepper on the tables. Table was very wobbly but the waiter was quick to try and fix it. Cocoanut shrimp was pretty good but the fish and chips and tartar sauce were pretty tasteless.
We always enjoy Reel Seafood Co. and would definitely recommend it.
Bradyn was best server ever!!! Great kid
Thank you for your review!
I would definitely visit Reel Seafood again. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. My server Ashley was ammmazing which made my visit that much more enjoyable!
Nyree, Thank you so much for your review! We love our staff and glad you had a great dining experience with us. We look forward to your return visit with us.
Yummy seafood! Large portions
Delicious, beautiful presentation, and very plentiful portions. We LOVED it!
Everything was excellenr, even turned down the music when requested. Waiter was very attentive.
Took advantage of the Saratoga Track special offered Wed.-Fri. with a drink, salad, and choice of special entrees for $30. As I am a fan of their signature HOT rolls, I overdosed on them and thus had to bring most of my barramundi home but certainly enjoyed it for lunch the next day. The salad with cold mandarin oranges, sliced strawberries and a cool citrus sauce was outstanding and perfect on this very hot, humid day. My only complaint was that the guitar playing singer duo should not have been in the dining area but rather nearer to the bar as it was extremely difficult to have a conversation at our table. They were good, but we hadn't seen our friends in too long and we were seated right on top of the singing.
Our service was excellent and we will be back!
Judy, Thank you so much for stopping in on Friday night. We apologize that you were seated close to the entertainment and we would be happy to accommodate you in the future. We're happy to hear that you had an exceptional meal and we look forward to seeing you again! Best Regards, Kevin Lynch Restaurant Manager Reel Seafood Company
Food and service was good. THE PLACE WAS SO COLD I HAD TO LEAVE before I was ready.
Great seafood and outstanding and attentive service.
Retirement dinner for a friend. Table of eight this server was brand new. He did not have a proper assistance for a table of that size. They had them waiting the indoor tables and the outdoor tables at the same time.
Also why aren’t I eligible for points. Please reply
They’re not gonna make it and don’t even think of ordering fresh oysters, the chef clearly doesn’t know what an oyster is supposed to look like or taste like. The food was beyond bad it was ridiculous. I was embarrassed for inviting family there.
Very good meal everything was fresh and prepared perfectly
The food lacked flavor. The chicken was under cooked in the Rustic chicken even though it was good. The waitress barely came to the table to the point where we didn’t get a refill at all. Two people were drinking out of five of us. The topper was I ordered the summer salad. I asked if I could add steak instead of chicken and shrimp which was listed on the menu. The waitress said yes. When I got my meal it was a full filet of streak not steak slices for a salad. We got the bill and they add the steak on for $35. The steak meal was $33. I did complain and ask how the meal was more then the meal. The manager did comp us the salad and I paid for the steak meal. I will never go again.
The food was excellent, the service was, too. However, we keep kosher and remember having more non-shellfish options in the past. In the end, there were basically two choices. How about some scrod, flounder, or tilapia?
Thank you Bev for your recommendation. We thank you for visiting RSC on 6/30 and look forward to your next visit! -Kevin Lynch Restaurant Manager
