Reel Club Ratings and Reviews
The place was really hopping at 5:45pm. The fish was very good as well as the sides. They should offer more than one Pinot by the glass. The service was good but rather slow at times. We had booth seating which was nice. The parking lot was full so we had to park across the street and down a building.
This was a get together of my nursing friends. We will be out of school 60 years in 2019. The ladies liked it so much last year, that they insisted on an encore this year. We opted out of appetizers since the Brazilian cheese bread that they serve in lieu of rolls, is so delicious. Three of us had the delectable trout, 3 the Grecian style whitefish, and 3 the almond crusted whitefish. All were beautifully served and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared a slice of the seasonal red velvet cake. Just the right amount of a sweet topping a memorable meal.
Let me start the review by saying that we arrived 35 minutes before our reservation. However, after 35 minutes, I had to go to the check-in desk twice and inquiry why we were not seated. After finally being seated, our we were seated, Christin, was great. The check-in desk rating is -1 but Christiin was a 5.
There's always a surprise waiting at Reel Club. The surprise at our last visit were the large Stone Crab Claws - expensive, yes, but worth every penny. We were disappointed that the pumpkin dessert was no longer available, but the red velvet cake with cream cheese filling and chocolate was divine. Best service ever by Olga - she's perfect, and always the best service amongst all the LEY restaurants.
Came here after shopping for a quick dinner. Requested to sit in bar area. Lemoncello martinis were very tasty. She ordered the always fantastic crab cake dinner, more crab then filler and yummy. I ordered the rainbow trout was cooked perfectly and no bones. We each had the greenbeans, they were ok. Service was attentive and just right. Yes we will return.
We do a surprise dinner for our birthdays every year, im the crazy one that likes to pick something new and different for the picky eater hahahaha. Our server was phenomenal! We like to take our time and just enjoy our night out and take breaks and well i also can never make a decision. She was fabulous, work closely with us and helped us pick the perfect dishes for the perfect meal for the night.
Great service! The oysters were brought to us on a bed of ice-for brunch! Just that was worth the visit. Good food- no complaints about anything. If you like seafood, this is the place-and the price is so reasonable. Flowing champagne and mimosas. Perfect brunch!
We were there for Thanksgiving dinner. The buffet was ample, featuring all the usual Thanksgiving items, along with many seafood choices. I would have preferred warm king crab rather than just king crab cocktail, but otherwise everything was very good. Some highlights include the prime rib (carved, and I received a beautiful medium rare cut just as I requested), the risotto station (made-to-order, with garlic butter and I added shrimp, green onion, and fresh parmesan -- delicious!), and the small dessert tarts, that allowed us to sample many of their dessert choices without ending up too full. Our server was from Bulgaria, and we enjoyed chatting with her a bit about some of the cultural differences. My only complaint with the staff was that a couple of them almost knocked me over as they barreled past me in the aisle as I headed toward the buffet and they were heading back to the kitchen. They should have stepped aside to let customers pass. They didn't seem to care, although the aisle was too narrow for all of us at once -- they acted like they didn't even notice me and they owned the place, and they most definitely didn't apologize. I called after them, loudly enough for them to hear, "Maybe say excuse me the next time?" Again, I was ignored. Will we go back? Yes, sure, overall I enjoyed the experience. Would I like this breach of conduct communicated to the management? Yes, absolutely.
I took my husband here for his birthday. The brunch buffet was just okay... a good variety of food but I think i was looking for more hot options especially for the crab legs. The omelets were awesome and so were the waffles. The mimosa's kept coming which was great and our server Benjamin was outstanding. We had a nice time and I was pleased that valet was only $4. I would definitely return .
First, the rolls you get at the table feel like you are chewing undercooked bread. As I chewed what felt like a ball of uncooked dough I asked the waitress if they were raw in the middle or if that's the way they are supposed to be. Amazingly they are made with tapioca or something and that's the way they come. Yuck. So very nicely she offered to being me some different bread. Was so hungry I said sure. She comes back with 4 slices of bread that had to have been baked about a week ago. Was borderline toast. Main course was decent (had scallops) but I never recovered from the bread. I won't go back.
