I have dined here many times. Usually all good. This time is n the table next to mine a parent changed a diaper on top of the table. The smell of poo filled our area.
I told the server and a manager came to me and said sorry. I told him his staff could have politely informed the guest this was not appropriate. The table was under the eye of my entire party. No sanitation approached the table top, not even a cloth wipe down.
The general manager handled and took of of our bill for a party of 6.
Had noon reservations , we were seated promptly and greeted by our server, Javier. He described the brunch menu, took our drink order, and then w/o being intrusive, was attentive to our every need. When he happened to meet my wife as she returned from the buffet and he asked if she needed anything, when she, in jest, mentioned they were out of oysters rockefeller, he went back to the buffet (or maybe kitchen), and brought a plate of oysters rockefeller. Service was wonderful making it a very pleasant experience.
It was our 2nd time visiting Reel Club, both times the food and service were great.
Only problem was the filet medallions were not cooked to our specification. We asked for medium but got well done which was dry and chewy.
Slow valet parking was the only issue at this fine diner.
This is my niece's favorite restaurant in Oakbrook Center. The food is always great, as well as the service!
What a great Friday during lent!
Went for valentines day with bae. it was ash Wednesday, so we picked a seafood place. They gave us a nice booth where we could see the whole room. There were more families and kids than I'd expect at a nice restaurant on valentines day, but suburbs. Our waiter was awesome. We did 1 sushi roll, split a crab cakes, split fish tacos and then sea bass. food was amazing. didn't drink so pretty inexpensive. great date nite.
Our waiter, Dante, struck a great balance between attentive helpfulness and giving us space for a private, relaxing and intimate dinner. The fish and sides were nicely prepared. Basic items, deliciously but not overly, spiced. Menu was a bit pricey (cocktail $11, no entrees under $20 but all included a side and nothing was over $50) but the final bill didn't break the bank.
A wonderful Valentines Day late lunch! The fried oysters Rockefeller appetizer was to die for. Put them on the regular menu!
It was amazing, food was great and the ambiance as well
Everything was a bit over salted. Bread, clam chowder and Cesar salad with shrimp.
I have visited the Reel club about 4 times now. I can honestly say, the food and service is consistent.. Great food , sushi was excellent, the gumbo is some of the best I’ve had, from any local restaurant.. I highly recommend have your fish dish prepared Greek style. I could go on and on. Our server Kim was was very nice. I will be back again. I’ve heard the Sunday brunch is awesome. I’ll have to try it soon.
Great oysters. The brunch buffet was a knock out. I'll be back real soon.
The food was great. I ordered the Ahi Tuna (I’m a sucker for it) and my girlfriend ordered the Mahi. The fish was excellent and I’m picky about seafood. The drinks were good, not great. All in all we had dinner and drinks for two, plus their butterscotch cremé brûlée for under $100 pre-tip.
The one knock: being 23 years old, we felt as if our server didn’t pay as much attention to us/treat us the same because we’re younger (and therefore, in theory probably not great tippers). But I wouldn’t let that stop me from going back again.
It took awhile to take our order and get the first round of drinks going, after that it went better.
Just okay all around. Crab leg appetizer was two minuscule pieces of questionable-quality crab claw for $16. Wine by the glass list could use an upgrade.
Everything was wonderful. We were seated very close to the party next to us, which happened to be a bit loud. Service and food was excellent.
This is one of our very favorite restaurants. Although it is pretty far from our home in the Southwwest suburbs, we think it is worth the trip. Great wine menu, fantastic & delicious seafood menu. We are not fans of the chef's cheese filled rolls, but our server offered warm sliced ciabatta bread instead which was perfectly delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience as always.
Great atmosphere. Great food. We love the crab cakes and Seafood Salad. Actual crab claw meat in the salad.
Met with family for a quick dinner. Offered a great menu and seafood specials. Service was efficient. Professional. Food was excellent. Sushi roll is still being talked about 2 days later. We'll be back.
Had not been here for about a year. Our server was ok, but overall service was a bit slow. Food was overseasoned. Could not taste the lobster in the lobster tail. We will probably go back on a slower night and ask for no seasoning. Used to love this place so we're willing to give it another shot.
Amazing food. Server was not eloquent when he spoke mumbled when he talked poor eye contact. Didn’t explain specials slow to bring drinks.
The rolls they bring to the table set them apart as a restaurant. They are unique and delicious!
I loved their caesar salad. The trout was also delicious!
The food was not great. The fish was very fishy and the potatoes very dry. Food was average and very expensive. Not a great value. The waitress was friendly and attentive.
An excellent dinner, served with courtesy. Right on time reservation.
Great value, good food and quiet atmosphere. Highly recommend.
i thought the service was a bit unattentive. had to ask server to clean the table, bring service ware. I had the sea bass which was served luke warm not really hot. calamari was great. good deal on wine that night .
