We really like Reel Club but this time felt that we were rushed out door. Just kept hearing that the restaurant was closing and they may not have items that we had requested- like bread?
I have dined here many times. Usually all good. This time is n the table next to mine a parent changed a diaper on top of the table. The smell of poo filled our area.
I told the server and a manager came to me and said sorry. I told him his staff could have politely informed the guest this was not appropriate. The table was under the eye of my entire party. No sanitation approached the table top, not even a cloth wipe down.
The general manager handled and took of of our bill for a party of 6.
We come here a lot. The food is good and we have always had great service. The prices are decent for the food we get. We love those popovers, too!
Had noon reservations , we were seated promptly and greeted by our server, Javier. He described the brunch menu, took our drink order, and then w/o being intrusive, was attentive to our every need. When he happened to meet my wife as she returned from the buffet and he asked if she needed anything, when she, in jest, mentioned they were out of oysters rockefeller, he went back to the buffet (or maybe kitchen), and brought a plate of oysters rockefeller. Service was wonderful making it a very pleasant experience.
It was our 2nd time visiting Reel Club, both times the food and service were great.
Only problem was the filet medallions were not cooked to our specification. We asked for medium but got well done which was dry and chewy.
Slow valet parking was the only issue at this fine diner.
This is my niece's favorite restaurant in Oakbrook Center. The food is always great, as well as the service!
What a great Friday during lent!
27th wedding anniversary. Special request for a booth. Waited at the bar for an hour only to learn the hostess gave our booth away to another couple who probably claimed to be me. Only problem is I saw that couple when they came in the bar. They were barely 27 years old! Management was great trying to fix it. The fish was fresh and the Alaskan King crab legs were delicious. Service was quite slow after an hour wait to be seated.
Went for valentines day with bae. it was ash Wednesday, so we picked a seafood place. They gave us a nice booth where we could see the whole room. There were more families and kids than I'd expect at a nice restaurant on valentines day, but suburbs. Our waiter was awesome. We did 1 sushi roll, split a crab cakes, split fish tacos and then sea bass. food was amazing. didn't drink so pretty inexpensive. great date nite.
Our waiter, Dante, struck a great balance between attentive helpfulness and giving us space for a private, relaxing and intimate dinner. The fish and sides were nicely prepared. Basic items, deliciously but not overly, spiced. Menu was a bit pricey (cocktail $11, no entrees under $20 but all included a side and nothing was over $50) but the final bill didn't break the bank.
A wonderful Valentines Day late lunch! The fried oysters Rockefeller appetizer was to die for. Put them on the regular menu!
It was amazing, food was great and the ambiance as well
