Reef's Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time there, and we enjoyed it very much, both very good food and good service. There were five of us and we all had different meals and everyone was happy. You have to seek it out being in the Deer Valley Club with no restaurant sign outside, but it is worth the hunt.
Not worth it. Difficult to find on third floor of building within Deer Valley Club. No atmosphere, no view. My friend ordered the scallops ($32) and it was TWO scallops swimming in a mustard sauce. No sides, no salad (we ordered the Israeli salad separately), no bread, just two lonely scallops. I had salmon in a morrocan sauce ($28) and again a very small portion. The two items we went to try (sweet eggplant and grilled king salmon) that are listed on their website are no longer on the menu.
They've added sushi to their menu which consists of "sashimi", "nigiri" or "handroll". That's the full description - three items that require the waitress to tell you what they are. The first two were tuna and the handroll was salmon on our visit.
Moved a month ago to this location. It’s now in a private residence club and it’s an excellent location with ample onsite parking.
Excellent attentive service. Excellent Méditerranean cuisine with additional sea seafood offering. Nice wine list. Don’t miss the chocolate cake at the end.
I really wanted to like Reef's in its new location at Deer Valley, but I found it just "fair". I've eaten at the former downtown location a couple of times in the past, and loved it. More casual ambience, more reasonable portions, and delicious food. The new location feels like a high-end ski lodge restaurant, which is not a bad thing, but I just don't think it fits Reef's "character". The management there claim the regular clientele in the new place is for the most part the same as the regular clientele who ate at the former location. I'm not so sure. Back to the food - main courses. The portions on certain of the dishes seemed less than before. The scallops dish was 2 lonely scallops sitting in a pool of a mustard-saffron sauce. The gnocchi was 4-5 pieces, also looking very lonely. The main dishes needs some revamping. The appetizers were very tasty and well-portioned. Same with the delectable chocolate cake and halva cookie desserts. I hope Reef's figures out who they are and some of its former glory is regained.
My family and I have been patrons of the REEF restaurant in Park City prior to its move to Deer Valley . REEF is authentic, fresh, delicious mediterranian with a welcome addition of some fantastic SUSHI!! REEF always leaves you wanting more, as the flavors remain on your taste buds for hours after you leave!!!
This restaurant is a must!!!
This is our favorite restaurant in Park City. We eat here every year when on our annual ski vacation. The owners are very friendly and make great food and wine suggestions. Not to be missed when in Park City! (Note - very convenient parking underneath. But we usually walk here.)
