This is our favorite restaurant in Park City. We eat here every year when on our annual ski vacation. The owners are very friendly and make great food and wine suggestions. Not to be missed when in Park City! (Note - very convenient parking underneath. But we usually walk here.)
A little gem in Park City....authentic Middle Eastern dishes...a fresh break from typical and predictable ski area crowd pleasers. Does not offer a multitude of selections on the menu... but we ordered 3 of the 5 main dishes and each was very good. The hummus and desserts also very good.
We really enjoyed our visit to Reef's. We started with the Israeli Salad - a classic cucumber, tomato, and onion with a vinegret dressing - fresh and bright. It was served with soft pita and schug - a tasty paste of cilantro, garlic, cumin, serrano pepper, and olive oil. The Schug is reminiscent of South American Chimmichura except with cumin (in place of oregano) and a nice peppery kick. The vegetarian moussaka - the eggplant was grilled and had an attractive smokiness. The braised short rib was delicious - rich and savory. The warm chocolate cake with raspberry compote finished the meal perfectly - it follows the owner's mother's recipe. Well done!!!
The food was deep and flavorful! We loved each dish: the falafel, babaganoush, hummus, chicken schnitzel (amazing!). Our hostess was very nice and accommodating, especially with three sleepy kids at the table. We had a great time. Would totally come back again. The Turkish coffee was also a delightful way to end the meal.
They had a limited menu that was extremely overpriced, even for a ski town. They were out of 1 of the 2 vegetarian main courses and 1 of the two deserts. They didn't tell us about the limited options until we ordered drinks and appetizers. They only had 7 total main course options on the menu.
We enjoyed our dinner at Reef. The service by Lauren was exceptional, very attentive and helpful. We started with the sampler which was very good. Great pita bread served. I had the salmon with tomato reduction, it was excellent. Others had the chicken schnitzel and the moussaka. Everyone thought it was great. A really nice dinner.
We liked the ambience, a bit noisy but it was Friday night! The food was all good, but not great for the price. Our waitress was good and attentive. The wine list is lacking with expensive decent bottles but "Barefoot" by the glass I wouldn't serve to teenagers. We were glad to get the reservation, but probably won't return.
Very intimate atmosphere serving a limited number of patrons, with excellent food! Service was slightly slow on a busy night, but the proprietor was quite hospitable and sent us some complimentary desserts. Cuisine is a mix of Isreali/Mediterranean with some French influences. Great experience dining in Park City.!
