I should have know something was up when we were the only guests in the restaurant but I chalked it up to people holiday shopping. The server was very friendly (probably because we were his only table) and informative. When our food came out it was ice cold. I ordered scallops over risotto and the risotto was cold probably because it was not made to order. My husband had ravioli filled with lobster which was very fishy. I do not recommend this restaurant as the food is not good and it is extremely over priced.
Generally I love this restaurant and this was my 3rd time visiting and I come for the food. This time was a disappointment. It is the holiday season and there was a large party in a private area and this thru off the norm. Setvice was very slow. And my favorite dish Lemon Chicken was not what it normally is. The lemon eas nonexistent and the sauce was not reduced. After a long work day I look forward to this dish but this time it was sad.
Pleasantly surprised to find such great quality food in a hotel. This is something you typically find in NY & Phila hotels. We enjoyed our food, drinks and dessert. Staff was very friendly and never felt like we had to leave. We hung out and chatted as long as we wanted.
We will definitely return.
Very good food and wine. They also have a kid's menu. It was very crowded and lively due to a high school reunion at the bar. Because of this, service was extremely slow. So what I thought would be a relaxing enjoyable dinner after a four-hour drive to the hotel turned out to be a long waiting process (with tired children) for the main meal. In addition, they chose to put my children and me in the main room near the bar rather than in the quiet more serene section away from the loudness. I did not know this until the next day for breakfast when I saw this better section.The hostess then tried to seat us in the same section.I said we wanted to sit in the nice section (which was much better than the night before). I think when they see you with young children they put you in the less preferable section.I really don't appreciate that they use this tactic I spent a good amount on Friday in addition to being a guest at the hotel.
The food was decent and the service was great. However, the prices for everything were well above where they should have been. I would expect these prices at a 4 star restaurant but not for a meal that felt more in line with a chain restaurant. To us, it felt that they were able to justify higher charges due to being attached to the hotel but the prices are not a representation of the food quality. Overall, it was good but not a great value at all.
At the end of a long day at work this was just what I needed. Calm and wonderful food. I had the lemon Chicken and it was perfectly executed. Most, flavorful, perfect vegetables. I will return for more! The restaurant is located at the Doubletree hotel.
We went to Redz with two friends based on the online menu and presence. Great visuals, a varied albeit small menu and we were looking forward to dinner. Kudos to the marketing team, they hooked our interest.
The space is intimate, cozy - small - but looks fine. Unfortunately, there has been nothing to dampen the sound in the small space so we had to listen to a very loud conversation three tables away for most of our dinner.
Dinner was forgettable and very overpriced.
The best course of the night was dessert - the cheesecake, chocolate cake and crème brulée tart were very good, and I suspect bought from a good purveyor.
Redz is described as an inspired, casual American eatery with a large menu - it is a casual eatery with a small menu that is not particularly inspired and it is very expensive for what you get both in food and ambiance.
Dinner for four with 2 cocktails and a bottle of wine was over $300. There are much better meals to be had in both South Jersey and Philadelphia for much less money and much higher quality.
My experience at Redz made me miss the former GG's who formerly occupied the space even more.
Our meal was fantastic. I had the lobster stuffed ravioli with crabmeat in a cream sauce and I savored each bite . My husband had the Tuna which was sushi grade and he devoured it & loved it. He had the seafood soup & I had the spinach salad with seasonal fruit and it was so tasty & refreshing. For dessert he had the pear tart & I had the chocolate mousse cake. Both outstanding! Our NEW favorite dining spot!! ❤️❤️👍
It's een about a year since my previous visit to Redz. Food used to be excellent here. I'm not sure if they have a new cook, but the food was very disappointing this time, especially since I visited for Mother's Day and the food is a bit expensive. My food (duck) was under cooked and very gamey and my mother's scallops were drenched in lemon and salt. The waitress was nice enough to take my meal off of the bill, but was still disappointed after looking forward to my usual good experience at Redz. Not sure if I'll go back again.
We stayed at hotel for soccer tournament and it was very convenient and accommodating. Food was good not great, onion soup not crispy enough top, lobster bisque salty, salad ok lobster Mac an cheese minimal lobster. Service pleasant and room just upstairs made it just fine as kids liked it.
First time visiting this establishment. Wasn't aware it was part of the Hilton hotel, but parking was easy and the restaurant is easy to access and signage was good. The bar is great, located partly in the hotel lobby and the other side in the restaurant, great concept with good seating. The food selections were decent and prices above average, but the service and quality of food and drinks made for an enjoyable experience. It's lower than average crowd makes it a good location during normal high volume Friday / Saturday nights out.
This place is quite a surprise, a real sleeper among Burlington County restaurants. I'd read a good review, and my wife & I tried it out on the fly with her sister. We went back with my sister and her husband, then again this week with a friend. There hasn't been a bad dish yet. Service is solicitous, and the atmosphere is pleasant. You wouldn't expect such a good restaurant attached to a hotel, but go: you'll be pleasantly surprised too.
I have lived in this area for 35 of the past 45 years. I loved the place when it was GG's and Reddz represents a continuation of that opinion. A year ago I had occasion to host a post ceremony luncheon for 50+ people. The service food and ambience were outstanding. I will come back again and again.
It was clean and the service was good but not someplace I would typically go to eat for a special occasion. I had high hopes for someplace new but it didn't work out. This would be good for a meal if you're from out of town, staying in the adjoining hotel and don't have a car to go somewhere else. It was a risk that didn't go well enough.
The food at Redz is outstanding. Very well presented and nice portions. While the decor is clean and the seating is nice, it still has a hotel feel. The dining room is too bright for a relaxing dinner. We would definitely go back because the food is so good (yet pricey) but the decor/service/atmosphere does not come close to the level of the food.
Food is good but they need a manager there on Saturday nights for when they have disruptive customers. My husband and I were there for a "date" night and were seated next to customers watching a movie on their Ipad! No ear plugs, just sitting at their table watching the movie for the whole dining room to hear. There wasn't a manager there so we had to move to the bar to have our dessert. Completely killed the mood.
The bar area, the bartenders (Karen and Wayne) and our waitress (sorry, don't remember her name) were wonderful.
Very quiet table ,food was very tasty, very large portions, enough for lunch the next day. It was end of August , that may have been the reason it was quiet, but I really enjoyed the quiet time. The meal I originally ordered ran out. So the next time , I definitely would like to order the fried fontina cheese and polenta.
Price level was $$$. Maybe a little too pricey but it turned out to be a wonderful evening.
