Atmosphere and ambience is wonderful; food was delicious. Service was good.
Would recommend to others.
Can’t find one thing wrong with our experience at Red Water Grille. Great service and great food.
The prime rib cheese burger was stringy, tasteless and, dry. It was so over cooked that the cheese it was supposed to be stuffed with was nearly all gone. The vinaigrette was so vinegary, it was barely eatable.
I would not eat there again
Peggy is always amazing with her service and smile. Wonderful in recommending items on the menu that never disappoint!
Food was not very tasty and the portions small, the pot pie was very small and very plain. Overall we will not return to this restaurant.
Great place to do business. Not too noisy and the food and atmosphere was inviting
restaurant didn't seem that busy, service from kitchen was slow
We had a lovely meal. The food was excellent and so was the service.
Great good, cozy seating, and an awesome server with the best laugh :)
We celebrated our anniversary and were treated to sparkly and a dessert to share, a very nice surprise!
Always have great, consistent service and delicious food!
Excellent service from front desk and waiters. Hamburgers won rave reviews!
Excellent service. Great food. Never disappoints.
Greeted by hostess as soon as we entered. Seated at a booth table; lots of room with an excellent view of surroundings. Prompt attention from waitress; continued attentiveness throughout our stay. She was even kind enough to provide in writing the name and details of the beer I chose on her recommendation.
Food was served with aplomb; salad was fresh and tasty.
Mains were attractively presented, hot, and also flavourful.
All in all a delight. Will return again soon.
Wonderful service and food in a lovely setting. It was a perfect place for conversation.
We enjoyed a lovely evening on the $20 Tuesday Wine Night. The wine choices were great for the price. The food is always good at Redwater, we have been here many times, although we felt the new menu changes limited our selection of casual "sandwich" options. The sirloin burger was delicious and the pork shank was tasty.
Great evening! The calamari was very good, however the cheese dip was less cheesy and more soupy served with bread and raw veg. The beet salad w/ Arctic char was delicious. My favorite was the bottle of Bordeaux wine. Overall it was a lovely dining experience. Thanks to our patient server, as she came by a few times to see if we were finally ready to order.
We had a look at the web page before we booked a reservation and were expecting specific foods. But when we arrived the menu had changed due to a change over in chefs, which is fine but that was at least 4 months ago. I have eaten at Redwater before and enjoyed it very much, I was disappointing this time.
We had a terrible experience and have dined here many times before. We were told at the beginning that we were behind a party of 18 and it would be slow....but 2 hours later we still did not have our food and our waitress was quite rude during the whole time. The manager was not at all interested in dealing with the problem. He did come over, but only took off one meal that was not ready at all and did not come back to apologize for the inconvenience. the restaurant was 1/2 empty - no excuse and none of us wish to return to the restaurant any time soon.
Redwater South has been a staple restaurant for us over the past few years. This time was extremely disappointing. The menu was recently changed and I personally think they've removed some great items. They now only have 2 steaks on the menu, a tenderloin and a New York. The Tenderloin pot pie was good, but didn't leave me that WOW, this is great I need more or have to have it again.
Our server Emma, was fantastic.
We probably won't be back until they revert back to some of their great previous items, Wild Shrimp in their creamy chili sauce, Rib Eye Steak, nightly specials.
The food was so good! My husband loved the handcrafted Old Fashion cocktail. The calamari was great though could use more dip with it. I had the short ribs, wow! The Swiss chard with pork was absolutely tasty as a side. The service was very nice too. We look forward to going back.
We had an amazing time and the server was great. He was knowledgeable and there when we needed without the hover.
Red Water is always an exceptional experience.
Fantastic food and value.
So disappointed. Redwater grille used to be our go-to for date night, business lunches and family dinners.
While the tortilla soup, garlic flatbread and fries were good, we weren’t able to finish anything else that our table ordered.
Pizza was doughy and undercooked. 2 of 3 Cauliflower balls were the consistency of runny jello inside. Burgers were only half eaten. Worst of all, the great beet salad was ruined, and had no dressing and mandarin orange segments.
I don’t think our meal was out of the ordinary. Server didn’t seem surprised that we didn’t eat most of dishes. She didn’t ask us about our meal and simply took the half eaten plates away.
It’s really sad to see a really good restaurant become so bad.
My husband took me for my birthday and it was great. Food was delicious an the service was amazing!
Excellent! .. the service was great and the food was delicious!
Our waitress Peggy was outstanding
I think we are finally taking a step back and will never return to this restaurant after the third bad experience in a row. Showed up to a half empty restaurant and got told it would be a 15 minute wait after waiting for over half an hour we were walked to our seats passing multiple empty spots. It was clear there was a staffing issue as servers were running from table to table whilst juggling a bartender role all at once. By the time we order we've now been here for over 40 minutes and we have no food so picked what we assumed would be the two quickest things for the kitchen to produce to save time. Another 35 minutes pass and we've now been here for over an hour completely fed up and just wanting to cancel everything. The appetizers show up - we ordered the cauliflower balls which came out no word of exaggeration black but clearly trying to be covered up with sauce , took a bite into them and they were stone cold. At this point we just ask our server to cancel our meals if they haven't already been placed if not pack them up to go even at this point we aren't asked if everything is okay which to me is not acceptable when you are spending over $80 for a burned cold appetizer and then when we received our to go boxes they had just been thrown into a box not even sealed and handed over to us. It's a super huge disappointment as when this restaurant first opened we were very loyal customers, I don't know what happened over the last few years but I will never be returning:
Problems in kitchen led you a long delay in service
Craig, the server did an excellent job of making certain our group of 7 was well looked after. The kitchen was a little slow, because there were 3 other large groups who placed order just before us. But Craig made certain we were well watered and looked after while we waited. The food arrived hot and was very tasty. But, the wine was the best part of the meal. They have a great selection.
WE arrived at opening and were taken to our table, the music was a bit loud for us and the waiter Shawn went and turned it down. We were sitting under the air conditioner and they were concerned that it was too cold and made the adjustment. Food was great and served in a timely matter. They were a bit under staffed but were handling very thing very well. We would recommend to anyone and will return ourselves when we are going into the city.
Out of a lot of menu items. Slow service. Will not be returning.
Food was great, service was really good and a nice leisurely pace.
Our server didn't tell us his name, was very awkward, and my drink was empty for at least half of the meal. My tenderloin was extremely rare, even though I asked for medium. My dates steak was mid-well, even though he asked for mid-rare. We were offered a free dessert for this mistake but it didn't feel genuine at all. I will not come back and will not recommend this venue to anyone.
Went here for Valentine's dinner. Food was okay- steaks done fine. Potatoes au gratin were dry and chewy. Vegetables were overcooked. No bread to start with. Service was mediocre even though restaurant was half empty. We decided to go home for dessert instead of staying longer.
Had a nice Valentine's dinner out food was tasty, service was slow however we were there on Valentine's so it was busy.
The menu has really gone downhill recently. Our food was only mediocre and some was burnt. We went on Valentine's day and there were couples in their 50s and 60s and the restaurant had terrible r&b and rap music playing very loud (and it was not the end of the night). The items that really set redwater apart in the past no longer exist on the menu. The menu is very boring. Very difficult to find something worth trying. Terrible experience. I won't be going back
Freezing cold temperature in booth
No sauce on steak (Supposed to be house sauce)
Go back to the menu from 4 years ago.
Bring back the maple bbq steak sauce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will never come back until it is back On the menu.
Everything was great except food came late!
In overal I enjoyed the food.
The server was very attentive and the food was cooked to perfection. One of our favourite restaurants.
