Many of the items we wanted were not available but the staff was excellent in trying to accommodate. I was expecting a bit more lively environment. My lamb was excellent!!
Will go back again!!

I had made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday, requesting a private Table...we were seated in a booth, not exactly what i was thinking. The service was good but the food was not what i was expecting from a Restaurant that has so much hype about how good it is. We both had Steak and Lobster....the steak was thin and rubbery and the lobster tasted freezer burnt. Overpriced for what you get. Not impressed and would not recommend.

Sadly the quality found here has gone downhill. Great ambiance but the food has not kept up. I do recommend the burgers though. Our little one had a fabulous burger and fries. I wish I'd had that with a beer then would have given a great review!

We arrived and were promptly seated which was good. However it was right beside a table of 10 loud people. We asked to move to a quieter table of which there were many as the restaurant was half empty. We were told no! My husband had to threaten to leave before they would move us. Our food did come in a timely fashion, but was only subpar. The vegetables looked and tasted like they had been cooked the day before and the rice was cold and clumpy and also tasted old. My husband ordered the stuffed potato and was not offered any condiments. Overall very unimpressed!

Worst meal I've had in a long time.....no taste, dry, and small over cooked portion of veggies. I ordered the steak and lobster, the lobster was TERRIBLE, it was so dry and tasteless I could barely swallow it, the steak was a 1/2' dry tasteless shoe bottom. The coconut prawns that we ordered for an appy tasted like deep fried grease. I booked on line and stated that it was our [38th] anniversary dinner, when I asked the server that things sure had changed [not for the better] and that there was usually a table cloth and proper linen, she said that they only put those out now for special occasions, WTF?....oh well. So for about 12 years now we have gone here for our anniversary supper but NEVER AGAIN. New ownership doesn't mean better, only thing that didn't change was the high prices and I have never minded paying more but not for the crap we were served.

A little disappointed in change of menu. We came for the curried mussels and found they were no longer on the menu. Hope you will put them back on as I wrote a review on Trip Advisor a few months ago about how good and unique these curried mussels were. No one else in Red deer does them that way.

We had eaten at Redstone a couple of times before and enjoyed it. This time unfortunately wasn't the same experience. I ordered the lamb shank mainly because the previous time I had it and they had done such a excellent job. This time disappointment doesn't begin to describe the tough chunk of shoe leather that they served me. The worst part was they didn't seem to care as long as they could charge me the full price for the poorly prepared meal. My suggestion is they don't serve something they don't know how to cook.

Had a great relaxing diner, the bruschetta was wonderful, had the Spinach risotto and veal schnitzel, and everything was just great. Only complaint was they had run out of the "death by chocolate", but the gluten free midnight mint dessert was good too

My husband and I received a gift card from the kids one year and never got around to using it--manly for two reasons- people we asked said it was expensive so we were waiting for a good reason to go out to spend the kind of money they were saying ( which we found was NOT the case) and the other reason was because we were told we needed a reservation and we took that as, this is a pretty fancy place-and we are just farm people so we don't do well with "fancy" ( again NOT the case) we found the restaurant to be very nice and we felt that we belonged there. The waitress was fantastic and the food was good-we ordered the seafood dinner for two and the only thing we didn't like was, there was something on it under the lobster that we never really cared for. But that's just us. All in all a great way to spend a date night with my husband.

My wife and I made reservations for a special date night which we don't have often, having two toddlers makes it a little tough to go out. Needless to say it was a special occasion for us. We were expecting it to be busier and were slightly concerned about ordering seafood because of reviews from friends who have had bad experiences. However, we decided to order the surf and turf platter for 2 which had two beef tenderloin medallions, 2 pieces of chicken, two lobster tails that WERE cooked properly as well as shrimp (they could have put more for the price we paid), roasted vegetables, delicious mashed potatoes and risotto. The caramel pecan flan was delicious but they forgot the ice cream. The service was great, and we didn't feel rushed in and out which was nice. The wine was reasonably priced and the menu was detailed. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend trying it if you haven't already!

The restaurant was quiet on this Tuesday but the server failed to tell us about the Tuesday 2 can dine for $65 special which was why I chose this restaurant in the first place. The special had limited choices and really wasn't a great value for the money. Overall we enjoyed this dinner date anyways.

Enjoyed the Redstone very much as usual. We went for my mom's birthday and she loved it. My first experience with Redstone was outstanding! They provided us, on very short notice for a huge family gathering, with a wonderful experience. Great food, good service and awesome ambience. Highly recommend the Redstone!

We had high expectations for RedStone. Unfortunately it did not live up to them. Our appetizer never showed. We found out later she forgot to put them in. Which happens and that by itself is not a big deal. My wife ordered the ribeye steak. This is a $36 meal. It was 3/4 gristle. The part that she could eat was fine. But for $36 we expect a perfect steak. It was a terrible cut. Its too bad. the restaurant has potential to be a great place.

Excellent meal ...I had ribeye and my wife had the salmon and a side of the most delicious mushrooms...local beer and tasty wine ...all well prepared and also very pleasing to the eye and the palate...we have already recommended your place to friends .

So we had the Surf & Turf dinner. The serving size was great! The taste of the food was excellent. The Risotto was delicious. The restaurant has bottles of wine for $20/bottle, which is way more reasonable than most. The food and wine was something I would return for.
The service on the other had was not up to what this restaurant would probably find acceptable. I had to go looking for our server twice. Our dinner was over half done before he came by to see how everything was. He certainly needs to learn how to pour wine.
Overall it was a nice experience, and it was a good date. I would recommend One-Eleven grill over Red Stone.

The service was fine, our salad was very good and we enjoyed the "Naanchos" very much. They were made with Naan bread, i stead of nachos and we found them to be really enjoyable. We did not like the vegetable rolls at all. They were filled with mashed potatoes and a few other veggies but not many, they were filled primary mashed potatoes and there wasn't any sort of exciting flavor to them at all.
I was very disappointed that they had run out of zero alcohol beer. Which I was really looking forward to having with dinner.
The dinner portions were very generous.
Our server was friendly and the semi-private room was nice as we were a group of 9.

This used to be a place that I associated with great service and food. After this meal I won't be back. The mussels were grey, like they were dead when they were cooked. The goat cheese dip had so much onion I couldn't taste anything else (the description on the menu made no mention of onion in the dip). I got the mushroom curry risotto, it was mushy and over cooked, the chicken was either a frozen breast that you buy in a bag or it was under cooked. The seasonal vegetables on the side might as well been raw they were so hard. My friends escargot had so much grease in the cheese she used 4 napkins to sop it off the top and it was made very sloppy. The service was less than exceptional, I think he knew we weren't happy and walked past us 4 times and didn't ask us how our food was. I didn't get a water refill until I paid my bill. They did give us 25% off, but most of it should've been free.

This was to be a treat for our out of town guests and ended up being awful. We were one of only two tables occupied in the whole place. However, after serving our initial drink and taking our food order, our server disappeared. We had to clear our own empty glasses, then went looking for someone who could tell us how we might go about getting something else to drink and why our food was taking so long. After 40 minutes wait, the food arrived cold. For two of us, it was no edible...yet our server told us to remake would mean another 40 mins. We asked for it to be microwaved.....that took 10 minutes and when it came, it was no better. We had to pour our own wine both initially and throughout the meal, as that was the last we saw of our server. I sure hope the one other table was getting her undivided attention! This is not the sort of place where customer should be bussing their own tables and eating microwaved cold food. No recompense for the poor experience other than the offer of a free dessert (among 5 of us).

On date night you an have a 3 courses meal which are delicious, and it is pretty hard to eat it all for $65 a couple. recommend it 100%. and great service

The curry cream mussels here are always amazing! We both ordered the tenderloin and mine was perfect but my husband's was overcooked. Pretty sure I got his medium rare but I ordered medium and his was almost well done. Vegetables were cold. Potatoes were yuck. Potatoes tasted like they'd been cooked a week before and reheated in the microwave. What really got me was we made reservations and got right in. The restaurant was over half empty and they turned away at least 4 set of patrons away saying they didn't have room?? If I owned the place I'd be disgusted that they were turning away so many people when there were so many empty tables. Being short staffed, if that was the problem, is no excuse in this economy. I will return but not for a full meal. I can't resist the mussels so they will draw me back someday in hopes that everything else has improved.
