We have been to Redstone many times and have always had a good experience. We had a reservation for Sunday at 2pm and were surprised to find out that they were only offering a buffet and you could not order from the regular menu. I'm not sure where this information was published because we were unable to find it but it would have been nice to know this going in. We'll still go back though!
Very nice place. Great staff and vibe.
Easter Buffet excellent - service very good. A little crowded moving around buffet but food excellent.
We visited for Easter brunch. The food was fresh and tasty.
I normally love Redstone but I went for Easter Brunch and the food was terrible
The first patio meal of the year for Easter brunch. Wow, what a meal, great beverages and service. Thank You!
Great food and service, it was last minute choice and were able to get in without any wait time. Great job. Even on a Saturday night
We usually have better service but did not at this visit.
Redstone is a great restaurant. Their Sunday Brunch is one of the best. Ther lemon poppy seed bread and cinnamon rolls are simply delicious. The Buffalo Shrimp are Amazing!!! Great food!
Ambiance was why we chose to go. That we were not disappointed in at all! Outdoor seating is great! Food was not good at all though. My lamb chops were way over cooked and flavorless. I sent it back and switched to beef Wellington, and that was raw! Dough uncooked on the inside. And meat super rare. I sent that back also. I ate the tank scraps of my husband and children instead.
The server was nice, but seemed very uncomfortable with my dislike fo the food. I would think that the manager would have come to check on the situation, but did not. I’m sure bar food there is ok, but don’t order entrees or meat!
They did not acknowledge the Birthday I had stated in the reservation either. I would only go back for drinks on the patio. Not food.
Waiter was very attentive, even though the restaurant was very busy for lunch. Menu has varied selections, so everyone got just what the wanted. The signature corn bread was delicious with plenty leftover to take home. Meatballs, burgers and French dip were very tasty. Nice atmosphere, though a bit dark inside. Would be cozy in the winter months!
As usual, food and service was good
We were there on a Monday night so it was a quiet atmosphere. Everything was perfect but it is a bit pricey.
Reservation made it easy. Great food. Good service. Good gluten free selections!
Good drinks, great food, mistake on the bill.....but overall good dining experience!
We had a party of 13 for my mom's 71st birthday. It was a very nice atmosphere aside from the low lights. I could barely see my menu. The highlights were the service, Andy was absolutely the best! The food was delicious despite the lamb chops being out and the wine. The downside was we brought her grandchildren, 4 of the kids were under 12 and the menu does not appeal to that age group. They ordered hamburgers and chicken fettuccine and didn't eat them so money was wasted. I loved the area they had set aside for our group. Thanks for doing that. Get a few kids items and I would raise the review.
We arrived a bit earlier and the hostess was able to accommodate as if she was waiting for us. The food and service was great. We'll be back! Ask for Mike if you go. He was attentive and professional.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Service is always good.
Great food and service. The restaurant was recommended to me by a relative for a friends’ get together (couples in our 50s) and I would definitely recommended myself.
Not the first time I've eaten here, nor the last. Although I didn't get them this time, their buffalo shrimp appetizer is amongst the finest you'll have anywhere, and we also usually get the jerk chicken fondue. This time however, skipped apps and my wife ordered the sea bass (which she describes as one of her favorite dishes anywhere, and I ordered the lamb chops, which were very tasty although slightly over cooked (medium-well vs. the medium I ordered). My 10 yo ordered the mussels, which I raided occasionally, also very tasty. Either way no complaints really, always love this place.
The food was very tasty. However for 47 dollars the Ribeye was not worth the money. You can buy a nice steak in the store for 15.00 20.00 not on sale. You still get a 27 dollar profit. That steak seemed like a 10 dollar steak brought in bulk. I cater and the quality is most important. In our area you have Jewel and Kroger. Kroger has the best meat in town, Bourbonnais. Jewel, not so great. I would rate your steak a Jewel steak. There were 2 ordered at our table. I had the Braised short rib. Wanted the bone with my short rib. It came to the table like a chunk of pot roast (it taste like short ribs, very tender). Mind you the food was tasty and I would recommend for a special occasion. However, I will inform them of what to expect. The chicken was very small as well. All I'm saying is for the price you guys charge the quality of the food did not match. I know you are in the business of making a profit. I understand, however no one left with left overs. Your extra credit points came from the buffalo shrimp. We had two full orders. From the size of the shrimp I would say they were the 16 to 20 count bag. I pay about 25 dollars a bag. They were delicious and worth it! I am not trying to give you guys a bad review by no means. I have no problem paying 50 dollars for a Ribeye worth its value (size and taste). The Host were all polite and welcoming, our server was willing to please our table, the ambiance was very nice, intimate dinner between two couples. My question to everyone when we leave a restaurant to everyone is always, would you come back. The answer was yes from everyone but we all agreed we would try something different. Thank you.
Really enjoyed the experience
A great place for a special occasion. Service was great. Our server was very helpful making recommendations.
Fabulous ambiance, service and food. In the middle of nowhere but inside is a fabulous surprise.
Amazing food and an amazing atmosphere. The presentation of the food was great. Definitely worth the 45 min drive. Will be coming again soon!
Perfect for all occasions. Excellent ambiance and delicious food!
Food was amazing
Outstanding bloody marys with a chaser; almost a meal in itself. The baked crab dip and breakfast flatbread were delicious too. I highly recommend Redstone for brunch, lunch, or dinner.
Excellent service. great atmosphere and super great food
The food was excellent and so was the service. This was our first dining at this restaurant and I can say that even my 11 year old son loved the food. We recommend the flat bread and the Brussels sprouts.
3 of us had the grilled sea bass with vegetables, carrots and brussel spouts the entire meal was spectacular! Thank you.
As always, food was excellent and we had a great server. My only negative is that I believe their menu is priced a bit high compared to other comparable restaurants in the area.
Excellent service all around
Very nice setting for dinner! Buffalo shrimp was very good but imho overpriced. 5 shrimp for $18 seems a bit much. Waiter did not know the menu and was incorrect in some of his statements. I’d rather he check vs guess. Main course was good but not a wow. Portion size was tiny.
Excellent experience and food was outstanding. Definitely recommend and will go back.
I treat my wife and myself to a good evening with a meal and drink. We have been coming over the years and celebrating birthdays, moments together with friends and family .
The food was VERY good. The waiter was informative but service was slow on a couple of things- not sure if it was him or the kitchen. Then at the end we gave him 2 credit cards with instructions and he just charged one of them twice. We were in a hurry so we worked it out.
Seated in booth next to bar so worst was drunk woman talking loudly. The food was the best we have had in years. The service was great. Redstone, please come to Peoria Illinois.
Place smelled a bit like stale grease. The server was great. Food good.
Very delicious food. Always fresh - new specials every two weeks. Servers are always pleasant.
