Redstone American Grill - National Harbor
The best restaurant at National Harbor hands down.
Very tasty food and drinks. I would recommend this to anyone staying ay National Harbor
Great breakfast! We loved the breakfast flatbread and yummy french toast. The omelet was OK but I've had better. Our server was very nice and attentive. Beautiful view of the water.
Had lunch with my daughter in law. We were celebrating her birthday. The service was great. Our waiter was great. I will be back and I will bring someone with me
Jade (server) was friendly and accommodating but overworked with too many tables. Food was just ok. Nothing special. The other Red Stones in Minnesota are excellent in comparison.
Great Buffalo Shrimp app. Burgers and crab cakes were good. Delish Key Lime pie! Great service.
Nice ambiance and delicious food
We arrived for our anniversary and went to the bar to order a drink. The bartender ignored us and was busy talking to coworkers rather than serving us. The food was fantastic and the location is great. Unfortunately, the server never asked us if we wanted to purchase drinks, didn’t bring us appetizer plates with our apps, never checked on how our food was and once she dropped off our food and hot towels, we never saw her again. We waited 15 minutes and tracked down a fantastic manager who did her best to make our evening better. She saved our anniversary dinner experience and assured us that she would address the problems with our meal.
I enjoy this place . Food is excellent. Service is great
Never had any problems while dinning at this restaurant.
Food and service was great! We were there for a business meeting and it was really noisy. The music volume was way too loud. Had to speak loudly for colleagues to hear each other.
Hostess sat us at a dirty table. Menu dirty (food stains). Calamari under cooked. Stuffed mahi mahi heavy with butter..
The food was good but the service was lacking. If we go back to National Harbor we will try another restaurant.
Service was VERY slow and table was unprepared. Waiter was wonderful when he was there but mostly forgot about us. Food was amazing! Get the corn bread!
Donna was a great server, very attentive and receptive to modifying our main course choices.
I've been to Redstone about a half a dozen times and have had a great time. Great bar, ambiance, location and very good food. My last visit left a lot to be desired. Long wait for food (even appetizer caesar salad!!), absent waitress, cold food, overcooked steak. The manager was humble and apologetic and compensated us for our inconvenience. All this being said, I STILL recommend Redstone for a fun night out with family and friends. I believe my last experience was an anomaly. Redstone please don't rest on your laurels. You're only as good as your last performance.
Food was very good. Waitress was friendly and very accommodating!
Waited 35 -40 mins for salad and crackers cakes. The wait really ruined a great evening.
We sat outside in a beautiful day. Food was great. Service wonderful. Will definitely be back.
Very accomadating. We were able to get a table overlooking the Potomac. Excellent crab cakes. Very friendly server
Restaurant ambiance was nice, as was the view of the river. Services was very slow. Got the chopped salad which was quite overpriced for what it was and drenched in too much salad dressing.
Redstone is always a great place to eat. Great outdoor space so you can people watch. Great food. Great service. You can’t go wrong at Redstone.
Dining with friends
Staff were very pleasant from hostess seating us to busboys, waitress and all. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other and had a year to catch up on, yet the staff were understanding and respectful of our need for quiet conversation and long stay. The food was exceptional (brunch items-eggs Benedict, French toast and, of course, trying their famous cornbread!). The view from the window seat was great and it was a very pleasant experience overall. We would highly recommend Redstone American Grill.
We had an early dinner when there were few tables. The server was quite friendly, and service was pretty good--until we had to wait a very, very long time before getting the check. The music was very loud. And even though there were few tables with guests when we were seated, they sat us at a table right in front of a party of 8, adding to the noise--when the whole restaurant was empty! Food was ok, but certainly nothing special beyond the typical chain restaurant, American high fat, high calorie typical menus. (But it might be worth a stop in for happy hour--didn't check out the bar option . . . )
Made a good date but not birthday celebration. The birthday dessert was just “eh” in presentation. I was expecting the fire candle from the online pictures, not just some candles. And only the server sang, it made my date cringe in embarrassment but I wanted it to be grand. It just wasn’t. The food made up for the night. I don’t think I’ll go back for celebrations.
Absolutely an amazing restaurant. We were please with the great outdoor seating. We enjoyed the great view and outstanding service. Definitely, a great experience and will return soon.
Great food, decent prices, satisfactory but not great service.
I have been to other Redstone, specifically the one in Marlton NJ. The difference level in service is quite large but the Buffalo Shrimp were amazing just like the NJ location. My advice is a bit more structure in assigning tables. Us and 2 other tables had to get up and ask for a server, that should rarely happen and I feel its the norm there.
It took forever to get our food (which tasted good). I initially thought it was just our table, but our entire section had to wait for their orders. It was so bad that several tables (including ours were given complimentary bread). However, our server (Duane) was really good. He made the experience a little better.
We had reservations for 11:30am. We get there at 11:15 and seated right away. 10 mins after we sat down the waiters were trying to figure out who would serve our table and then someone finally came over. We place our food and drink orders. Drinks come out - no problem. My husband orders shrimp and calamari appetizer with a wedge of cornbread and I order the pancakes. Another couple walks in 10 mins after us and they get there food and drinks in record time. 40 mins later with no food on the table, we are asking any of the wait staff who are willing to make eye contact to get us the manager. Finally the female manager comes over to the table and says she’s trying to fix the problem. That our food will be on the table in 3 minutes. This was after the waitress said our food would be right out 10 mins before that. The female manager says that it’s restaurant policy that it takes 30 mins from the time you order your food before it hits the table. When it gets past the 30 mins then they will contact the kitchen to see what’s going on with the order. We told her to cancel our order and we will pay for the drinks. The 2nd manager checks the computer to see when our food order was placed. The only upside to this bad experience was that we didn’t have to pay for our drinks. So honestly I can’t rate them on the food because I never tasted it, the morning mule was okay, the service sucked. I won’t be going back to this restaurant. The restaurant wasn’t busy, there were plenty of open tables.
The restaurant was good, the waiter was perfect our breakfast brunch was also good however getting in was strange. We made reservations on open table received confirmation text/email etc. proceeded to the restaurant and was told by the hostess that we had no reservation and that we are not allowed to book a reservation via open table for reservations on the same day. Lucky for us it was not peak time and we were able Robbie seated but that would have been such an inconvenience had it been peak time and no tables were available. Somewhere there is a disconnect with the Open Table service and this locations policy’s for reservations.
Great food in a great location! We loved sitting by the water. Our waiter was very nice and attentive to what we needed.
The service was spotty and not necessarily attentive. The portions were small for the price point. Since this was not my first visit to Redstone Grill, I know that overall performance can be better. An emphasis on better service can improve the bottom line and garner better reviews.
Server was spectacular!
My table had the buffalo shrimp w/blue cheese, crab dip, bbq grilled wings & the chefs breakfast & everything was delicious! Service was very friendly but a little slow. I overall it was a great experience.
We were celebrating my new job promotion and decided to eat here for brunch. The service was ok, they forgot my husband’s syrup to his pancakes, I had to wait forever for my mimosa, and though our server was nice, I think he had more tables than he could handle. It will be a while before I come back. Buffalo shrimp were phenomenal as always.
Wonderful dining experience!!! Terrific service ... Thanks so much!
This was my 2nd time dining at Redstone and I feel its a very nice restaurant. I had the salmon and it was perfect. However, I didn't rate it a5-star because of the flies. Both times I went there, I had a problem with the flies. It was very annoying trying to enjoy my food while swatting flies. This happened throughout the meal.
Great! The brunch was delicious!!!
