Redstone American Grill - National Harbor
Wonderful dining experience!!! Terrific service ... Thanks so much!
This was my 2nd time dining at Redstone and I feel its a very nice restaurant. I had the salmon and it was perfect. However, I didn't rate it a5-star because of the flies. Both times I went there, I had a problem with the flies. It was very annoying trying to enjoy my food while swatting flies. This happened throughout the meal.
Great! The brunch was delicious!!!
It was a good place for a celebratory lunch for a coworker. There were a couple of mishaps by the waitress but nothing to ruin the lunch. She was busy and was pleasant and friendly.
Service was Excellent!!! Love the atmosphere and the view. The food portion was VERY small for the price. That’s my only complaint.
We expected a special outing for a birthday, and told the restaurant staff we were celebrating, however the experience was just ordinary and the wait staff made several mistakes with out orders.
Great meal and even better service!
Food was not bad except they had two of our orders in correct (1. gave us sausage instead of bacon 2. was suppose to have no sauce but there was sauce on top it) and the eggs for the benedicts were over poached.
Service was not good. Everything we asked for took forever. We had to remind the server to bring things we requested and even didn't get a couple things we even asked for multiple times. Additionally, the server decided to tell us we never asked for something, when I know for a fact I ask him and another server.
It was just not a pleasant experience over all
Food was okay. I had cornbread and crab cakes but it took way too long to come out
Party of Six was a party of seven when we arrived. Thank you for accommodating for one extra guest!!
Had a great time, food was good, and view was awesome, just wish the waitress was a little more attentive to our table.. I would’ve understood if it was crowded but the restaurant was not. We had to have a staff member go get her several times.. she was very nice however just MIA!!!
Oh also the one alcoholic beverage that was ordered was non alcoholic and she forgot 2x to take it to the bar to get the alcoholic version:-(
Great food. Very loud despite not being crowded. Maybe it was the several TVs running although there was no one sitting at the bar.
Staff was wonderful. We waited over an hour for our food after receiving appetizers due to a “problem” in the kitchen. Our waiter and the manager kept us informed and recognized the delay, but I can’t give a high rating for service when we waited so long. Location was very nice and food was delicious.
Average. Nothing extraordinary.
It’s a great location but seems to struggle a bit to no fault of the staff. It was a rather hot day and the flies in the restaurant didn’t help the ambiance. Our waiter was very professional and courteous, however it appeared he was being asked to cover a very big area. He did his best to provide quality service and we tipped him for his efforts.
I ordered the kahuna chicken sandwich and it was less than appealing to look at. As a military guy, it’s rather easy to impress, but this seemed like a sad effort to provide a twist on a chicken sandwich. The lettuce and pineapple on the sandwich were complete dry, it had no evidence of sauce and the fries tasted like they were cooked the previous day.
My wife had the rotisserie chicken with gravy and it looked rather appealing. However, the half bird was dry in most parts and the gravy seemed like an attempt to cover that up.
This is my first semi-negative post regarding any restaurant we’ve booked via OpenTable. I’m willing to give it another try it we went on a Friday that was nowhere near busy. So I can only imagine what it would be like, if national Harbour was having a an event or such.
Our waitress - Sophia was amazing - her personality and overall service was top-notch. She was knowledgeable and attentive! I'll request her on my next visit.
The hostess who opened the door (we arrived before 11a) and seated us was not welcoming or friendly - she neglected to greet us and didn't have an inviting personality or even a smile on her face. That's not what I expected.
Thank you for reading.
Enjoyed our lunch on Sunday so we returned on Monday for lunch.
The steak salad was perfect and satisfying and the service was excellent.
Food was delicious. Service was good. Loved the non alchoholic drink options.
We went to watch the USWNT game and we were allowed into the lobby early to wait. We asked for and received our preferred seats. We were very happy we made reservations and because we followed the rules and arrived early, everything went as planned. We had great food for a good value. And service was consistent and efficient. Mikaela was a good service provider as well as the hostess! All in all a great way to watch the big screen at the National harbor while receiving good food and service!!!!
Received a last minute reservation on the 4th of July and was accommodated wonderfully. The food was good, but for the appetizer, it was more bacon than crispy brussel sprouts and the lunch entree would have been better if the Summer Salmon special have more of the tropical salad.
Awesome dining experience outside by the yachts taking in the view of the big wheel and planes coming in.
Went for Sunday brunch with a friend. We had a window table which was nice to people-watch. Our server was very attentive, and checked in a lot. Two different managers checked in as well. The only issue was the delivery, which was really slow. It took a long time to get drinks, and a reeeeeally long time for our food to come. Food was good once we got it.
I made a reservation and was very disappointed when I could not get a seat outside on there Terrace because they were saving seats for large parties and no one ever showed up to the table and then they continue to put smaller parties at larger table so I felt very slighted that I could not get to seat I originally requested that remained empty. However the corn bread and butter was delicious.
Took a co-worker to lunch to celebrate her retirement. Seating was fair, we could see into the kitchen. My burger was good, crab dip was runny. The honoree sent her fries back because they were cold, she received her brussell sprouts when the meal was over. I'm disappointed and let down
I ordered the cedar plank salmon cajun style with oscar topping. It was a bit too salty for me. I didn't enjoy it. But the Brussel sprouts were great and so were the buffalo shrimp
The crab cakes were good. The Mahi Mahi was a little dry. The jerk chicken was dry slices that didn’t have much sauce and the serving was scant. Don’t order the jerk chicken because you will be disappointed.
Toook my great niece to brunch for her birthday. She enjoyed every minute, our servers Adrian and Wayne were most excellent. They made her feel like a real life princess. Although it took some time to receive our food, when we did it was very delicious. We will definitely return.
Incredible service from start to finish and great food.
Food was delicious, service was great, view is awesome
Customer service was lacking. Wine came after the entree arrived and we had to inquire about it.
Went for Brunch and the overall the experience was pretty good. Decent variety..Bacon, Sausage, Omelets, biscuits, French toast, shrimp, potatoes, chicken, salmon, mac & cheese, and more. Brussel Sprouts and Asparagus were especially tasty. My only qualm is compared to other brunches with more options and bottomless drinks...this is a bit pricey for no drinks included. Take note that if you book reservations between 2 and 3 on Sunday...Brunch starts breaking down immediately at 3...
The Fathers Day brunch was an outstanding surprise! Would love to see some of the items on the regular menu; especially enjoyed the kale salad, Mac and cheese and the chicken.
Ok. It was Father’s Day so there was a brunch buffet instead of ordering from the menu. The food on the buffet didn’t look appetizing and we had to wait for food to be refilled frequently.
We went for Father’s Day and they were only serving a buffet. The options were just ok. What wasn’t ok were the amount of flies that were flying all around the food! Thankfully the hot food was covered but there were things like deviled eggs, salmon, and cakes that were not covered and flies would land freely on them. I was so grossed out I really didn’t even eat all my food (anything I did eat was food that had been properly covered). I’ve dined here before when there wasn’t a buffet and found the food decent. If you have an indoor/outdoor restaurant and insist on having a buffet set up have all the food covered!
We visited the restaurant on Father's Day, 2019. The noise level was quite high and conversation was not easy. The only offering by the restaurant was a buffet brunch. There was not a lot to select from and they did not have omelet and waffle stations. It would have been nice to be able to order from a menu as everyone in our group did not really want the buffet. We did sit by the windows and were able to look out over the water. That was nice. I would give the restaurant another try, but not for brunch and definitely not for conversation!!
Father’s Day Brunch was excellent! This was our first time having brunch at Redstone and it was phenomenal.
The food was great and our waitress was even better! Nice Father's Day brunch!
Everything was perfect except the drinks. They only had one bartender during brunch so it took a long time to get our drinks.
