Redstone American Grill - Marlton Ratings and Reviews
I have lived in Marlton for a little over three months and I have been trying to find my “go-to restaurant”. I have been at this restaurant for dinner, brunch, and take out. Not only is this food/service great, it’s consistent. I recommend this restaurant for any and all occasions. :)
Food was excellent and our server, Gary, was a awesome. He was very attentive and pleasant. We went for brunch and had the cheese fondue, chef’s frittata, crab Benedict, and chef’s brunch. Everything came out as described and was delicious. Thanks for the great meal!
Food was delicious as always. Service was very slow. Waiter didn’t offer dessert we had to tell him we wanted it. Waiter wasn’t around even when we tried to pay. We had to go find him. Manager asked couple at next table twice if everything was OK but he never asked us.
Appetizers were good, but they forgot to bring my daughter’s soup. Entrees for kids were simple and good -burgers cooked as ordered. Fish special was overpriced, over cooked and came with different sides than advertised without notice to the customer - the chef substituted green bean/corn mix for roasted cauliflower - which we did not like. Server substituted brussel sprouts after some discussion. Overall the meal was overpriced for the quality and presentation. Best part of the meal by far was the chocolate cake. Next time we will eat elsewhere and go there for cake.
The only complaint I have in an otherwise very nice experience is that the waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order. We reminded him and he brought it, but as a result my dinner, the beef wellington, was left under a heat lamp for an extra half hour or more. The sauce was congealed, the pastry gluey, the plate scorching hot. Unacceptable for a $42 dollar entre. I was so disappointed. I didn't send it back because he never came back to ask how anything was, and I just gave up.
Disappointed in this return visit to Red Stone. Extremely noisy sitting in the bar area, which we did not request. People standing (not seated) and talking noisily over our table, preventing any decent conversation. Food menu is limited for vegetarian options. For entree, we chose pasta & mushrooms - the dish comes with chicken, but had the chicken packed for our dogs. Not a large portion once the chicken was removed. Fairly pricey for a pasta dish. No options with just pasta and vegetables; waitress was not very helpful in assisting our selections. Onion soup arrived cold and had to be sent back for reheating. Service was fair; waitress had to keep walking through bar patrons standing around the bar near our table, which seemed to annoy her as well. We probably won't return even though its local to us.
Delicious burgers, done just right, make for a great lunch. Very good Bloody Mary, too. I suggest reservations even for lunch. We used Open Table for a reservation at 12:30 and I’m glad we did. They were telling people 20 minutes, or more, for a table for 2. We were seated as soon as we got there. The waiter was very good. We had a couple of questions and he was friendly and knowledgeable.
This is my third time dining with Redstone, and there is not a single complaint that comes to mind. I highly recommend the cornbread, jerk chicken fondue (perfect appetizer for 4, or perfect small meal for two), and you MUST get the chocolate cake (perfect sharing for 4, and get it to go if you’re stuffed!).
