Five senior ladies wanted a nice place to get together for a celebration and a catch-up on everybody. We loved Redstone in Maple Grove. Emily was a great server--took care of us very well. Food was wonderful; desserts, to die for. May cost a few dollars more than other nearby places, but well worth it!
Cheese on the French onion soup was too thick and stuck together. It was difficult to scoop up a spoonful of cheese as it tended to stick together and to the remainder on the soup and not separate. The soup was not well spiced.
Our service was top notch.
Great service. Food was good but not great. Especially for the price point per item. Servings we're heart so you do get full, but don't plan on getting out for under $20 per person.
Overall the experience was good. However, prior to arriving at the restaurant we called to inquiry whether or not they have a cork fee and how much ($20). At the time of the call there was no mention of restrictions of what brands could or could not be "corked".
We brought two bottles to enjoy with the willingness to pay the quoted cork fee only to be told that the bottle of Jordan Cab that we brought could not be "Corked" as this was a wine brand that was on the menu. They would need to charge me $98.00 to serve my wine. Dissappointed with this matter and left the preferred wine bottle uncorked for the evening. Started the evening off awkward.
Would have expected that the "rules and restrictions" of corking and serving would have been addressed when we called to inquire.
Unfortunately, the eggs benedict was cold. I have never experienced this before. I enjoy variety of breads instead of donut holes.
Excellent meal served by Kelli who I dare say knew more than a chef - very knowledgeable about the food and provided excellent service.
That said, all the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent!
Would definitely invite friends to join us there again!
I like the decor and friendly staff. Always quick service. Love the share plates for a light meal/snack. Works well for meeting friends for lunch..with or without little children.
The food and service was great for my Gal's birthday dinner. Finding a place to park was an issue on a Friday night at 7 PM. Doesn't' anyone eat at home anymore?
Service, sea bass, and salmon were wonderful. Nice atmosphere, and ambience, with reasonable prices. Would definitely go there again!
Kelly, and Pamela
Prompt service, very tasty food and nice ambiance.
Steak was dry even though it was med rare. Long time under the heat lamps maybe?
The service was great. I will be back
Everything was great with the exception of the noise level. It was hard to have a conversation.
We love Redstone but this visit was a bit of a disappointment. It was my Mother's 70th birthday. I listed this on the reservation and mentioned at the location. Her birthday wasn't acknowledged the entire time.
The service was quick, friendly and efficient. This area can't be beat. The server was wonderful and the manager stopped by and was very friendly.
The atmosphere was pleasant with attractive decor, an appropriate noise level and appropriate lighting. The temperature was comfortable. The seating was also comfortable.
For the first time, the food was hit or miss. We ordered corn bread and bang bang cauliflower as appetizers and both were excellent. The corn bread is very sweet and is almost like a dessert. It's one of our favorites and is served with maple butter. The bang bang cauliflower tasted like sesame chicken and was served with a sriracha sauce. It was enjoyable.
I ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was also excellent with a nice horseradish sauce, juicy prime rib and melted cheese. I had garlic mashed potatoes on the side and it was also excellent.
My wife wanted to order the meat loaf but it is no longer on the menu. A pity. She ordered the ribs and although they were cooked appropriately, the quality/cut of meat was poor. There were small bone chunks in the meat and the ribs were excessively fatty. We sent them back and they were removed from our bill. My wife ordered the French Onion Soup and it was very good with good flavor and melted cheese on the top.
My mother ordered the prime rib. This had been her favorite in previous visits. She ordered it medium well. It was delivered very well-done and was tough. The staff sent it back and she received another cut that was more medium but at this point we were not going to send it back again. She ordered a salad upgrade and it was delicious as well as her baked potato. The prime rib lacked the seasoning it had during previous visits and was very bland.
Service was attentive and responsive. Appetizer was under prepared. Without requesting it was taken off the bill, nice.
My main course was mildly warm, not hot, but still tasty. It wasn't the same experience I remembered from my visits to the original location in Minnetonka.
My sense of Tuesday's dinner was to quickly turn tables.
Amazing Food, great service, casual but special occasion worthy.
Excellent food and service, especially our server, Amy. It was obvious that she genuinely cares about the customer experience.
This was our first visit, but it won't be the last. My husband had the walleye and I had salmon; both dishes were delicious! We are talking about making it a family outing, perhaps for Mother's Day. I have told many about the delicious food and wonderful ambiance. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Blood Mary is not great so far. Key Lime pie is the best!! Maybe need to ice cream on it. Overall so goods! Definitely we will come back
Valentines dinner. Food was very good will be back
Food and service were excellent. The short ribs were delicious!
We were there the day after Valentines Day, our anniversary was Valentines Day so we were in Maple Grove to celebrate...I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We have been to a different location a few time, and have always been impressed. I had braised beef ribs, my husband had elk....both were excellent. I was impressed while ordering a drink that they asked for our IDs, and looked on the back of them for any DUI problems which is on licenses now, I think. We sat in a booth and it was quiet. Our waitress was great, came back several times to check on us. The best way to guarantee a seat is to make a reservation. They are on Open Table, and it's easy to do. It was a great night.
My husband and I were here for a delayed Valentines Dinner. We made reservations and were seated in a very nice booth. It was quiet enough for us to have conversation. The menu options were great and it was hard to choose. Our server was wonderful, and made some good recommendations on food and drink. Our food came promptly and was just the right temperature. The portions were generous and the food was wonderful! We didn't feel rushed, even though we could tell they were busy. We've only been here a few times, for special occasions, but I would consider coming more often, based on the overall quality of this visit.
Valentine’s Day after
Overall it was average food for a higher price. Really lumpy mashed potatoes and the potato chucks seemed to be under cooked. Took 10+ minutes to be waited on due to a shift change....
Just came in for late lunch post Valentines Day Very good burgers but my wife’s burger which she wanted to try (truffle burger) was very tasty but they forgot the cheese inside!
A repeat customer many times. One of the few establishments that does NOT serve white zinfandel. Can we fix this?
The food and service were good overall. I was extremely disappointed that Redstone has discontinued their Salmon Burger as that was the one reason I loved to go. The rest of the menu is pretty standard for the class of restaurant.
My husband and I attended Redstone as our Valentines Day dinner and let me tell you EVERYTHING was great! From the ambiance of the restaurant, to our polite and friendly Waitress, and the very tasty food choices! We will be back soon. Not to mention the music was on point! Beyonce, Bel Biv Devoe and Alicia Keys came on... sealed the deal ;)
My wife and I dined here for Valentine's day, we loved the service and space, my food was excellent but my wife asked for med ribeye steak and it was completely charcoal, wife refused to complain about her dinner, but cooks should have known not to send something like that out....
Redstone is always a pleasure. Food, service and ambiance are consistently excellent!
Great place for business meals, but watch out the fireplaces can get too warm and it took them way too long to turn them off. Also there were a ton of staff thought the restaurant but it took great efforts to get our waitress to return...maybe a bit more attention to your current tables.
Good food, awful waitress. Main course was great. Deserts very average. She must of had a bad personality day.
Found no shrimp in the shrimp - corn chowder.
Morgan's service was topnotch.
We ate a very early dinner. The server was knowledgeable and friendly.
I had the ribs and cole slaw. The ribs were very dry and over cooked. Made me wonder if they were kept warm for way too long. The cole slaw was really flavorless and dry, no dressing on it.
My husband had the crab cakes and was pleased with his meal.
For the quality of the food, the entree’s are over priced.
Very loud music over the speaker.
Great food and great service, but we were sat just next to the bar area and there was an extremely loud group of cackling women that made my ears bleed. I’m all for people having a good time, but the volume of their voices was ridiculous. Thankfully a server asked them to keep it down about half way through our dinner and they did for the most part. Next time we’ll request a table away from the bar.
Food was great, busy night in a good way, and had a great atmosphere. Our waitress was good and food came at the right time.
The food was great except for the side of Mac and Cheese we ordered but they gladly made us a fresh side which tasted like it was suppose to. I recommend the Parmesan Walleye. It was fantastic.
Great meal and service. Brenda was our server and meet all our needs throughout our meal.
We went here as a treat and to celebrate Valentines. As expected during dinner on a Saturday it was very busy. The service was wonderful and once seated you forgot there was a two hour wait without reservations. Food and drinks were great.
