Redstone American Grill - Maple Grove Ratings and Reviews
This was our first visit, but it won't be the last. My husband had the walleye and I had salmon; both dishes were delicious! We are talking about making it a family outing, perhaps for Mother's Day. I have told many about the delicious food and wonderful ambiance. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We were there the day after Valentines Day, our anniversary was Valentines Day so we were in Maple Grove to celebrate...I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. We have been to a different location a few time, and have always been impressed. I had braised beef ribs, my husband had elk....both were excellent. I was impressed while ordering a drink that they asked for our IDs, and looked on the back of them for any DUI problems which is on licenses now, I think. We sat in a booth and it was quiet. Our waitress was great, came back several times to check on us. The best way to guarantee a seat is to make a reservation. They are on Open Table, and it's easy to do. It was a great night.
My husband and I were here for a delayed Valentines Dinner. We made reservations and were seated in a very nice booth. It was quiet enough for us to have conversation. The menu options were great and it was hard to choose. Our server was wonderful, and made some good recommendations on food and drink. Our food came promptly and was just the right temperature. The portions were generous and the food was wonderful! We didn't feel rushed, even though we could tell they were busy. We've only been here a few times, for special occasions, but I would consider coming more often, based on the overall quality of this visit.
My husband and I attended Redstone as our Valentines Day dinner and let me tell you EVERYTHING was great! From the ambiance of the restaurant, to our polite and friendly Waitress, and the very tasty food choices! We will be back soon. Not to mention the music was on point! Beyonce, Bel Biv Devoe and Alicia Keys came on... sealed the deal ;)
My wife and I dined here for Valentine's day, we loved the service and space, my food was excellent but my wife asked for med ribeye steak and it was completely charcoal, wife refused to complain about her dinner, but cooks should have known not to send something like that out....
We ate a very early dinner. The server was knowledgeable and friendly.
I had the ribs and cole slaw. The ribs were very dry and over cooked. Made me wonder if they were kept warm for way too long. The cole slaw was really flavorless and dry, no dressing on it.
My husband had the crab cakes and was pleased with his meal.
For the quality of the food, the entree’s are over priced.
Very loud music over the speaker.
Great food and great service, but we were sat just next to the bar area and there was an extremely loud group of cackling women that made my ears bleed. I’m all for people having a good time, but the volume of their voices was ridiculous. Thankfully a server asked them to keep it down about half way through our dinner and they did for the most part. Next time we’ll request a table away from the bar.
Had a great table for eight at the rear of a dining area, however, it was not a quiet space. We are all seniors and the noise level was slightly elevated. The food was GREAT and the waitress had to point out that a gratuity was already added to the total which was very gracious of her.
The atmosphere was quiet, warm and inviting. The wait staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and knew just exactly when to appear. Everything we ordered was excellent, done correctly and served at the appropriate temperatures. We do not go out for dinner often, however on special occasions we will consider Redstone American Grill.
Our server seemed like she didn't like what she was doing. She didn't discuss the specials and when asked, referred us to the specials booklet. She was also clear that they "didn't do anything special for birthdays", except we saw 2 tables with a "fun" candle in their dessert. My snapper dish was really good but the other 5 people in our group said their food was just ok. We have been their before but that night we didn't enjoy our experience.
Fun dinner with friends. Two of three bartenders were very fun and attentive. At our table, our server was fantastic!
Fabulous sea bass, incredible chopped chicken salads (ask for blue cheese crumbles!), tasty hamburger & baked beans.
Flourless chocolate cake was not as good as we anticipated. Some grainy lumps, but fresh whipped cream and raspberry puree on the side made it yummy.
The parking lot was very crowded but that is my only complaint! I was seated right away and my special request was taken into account-- I had asked for somewhere quieter and with room to spread out paperwork, as it was a business dinner, and was given a booth with plenty of room and away from the bar area. My server was knowledgeable and checked back often (but not too often). Our appetizer plates were cleared promptly and our water glasses were kept full. I was also impressed that a gentleman who seemed to be the manager not only asked if he could bring us anything but boxed our food himself instead of sending our server over. (He also split our cornbread in half and gave us each some honey butter to go.) The meal was great and exactly as expected. We were left alone to do work but also checked back upon. It was a cold night and it was a bit warm in our area, but I'd much rather be warm than have to wear my coat in the restaurant, so I wasn't very upset by this. I would definitely go back here and recommend to others. Superb customer service!
Though we enjoy the atmosphere at Redstone and overall have had good food selections, the menu is very very limited if you are vegan or vegetarian. When making the reservation, we indicated that two of the diners were vegan and therefore thought the wait staff would have been notified in advance and able to suggest appropriate options. She was not able to do so however, other than suggest a salad without cheese. Recommend that Redstone add a few vegan / vegetarian options to their menu.
My boyfriend and I went there on January 28th, Sunday evening for date night. We had a wonderful time full of laughs and smiles. Our server was great and she always had a smile on her face no matter how busy she was. Overall our experience was wonderful and we will be coming back again soon.
