I've been to Redstone many times. The food and service is always excellent, however it was pretty cold in there and so loud that we couldn't hear each other talk until a few tables emptied out. Maybe that's to be expected during the noon hour. We'll still come back. Thanks!
The food at Redstone never disappoints. I was treating some friends to a holiday dinner and they all loved the place. It was a very cold, snowy night, so the fireplaces were a welcome treat and set the perfect atmosphere for a celebration. I also appreciate that it is quiet enough to have a conversation around the table. Our server was very sweet and took great care of us.
One of my favorite restaurants in the Maple Grove area. Excellent wood fired roasted chicken and great steaks.
Our food was delicious! I love their menu: everything from salads to steaks and seafood. There is something delicious at every price point. Our server Cesar was friendly and attentive.
We went for my birthday on Saturday 12/7. Everyone enjoyed their food but mine was way too salty and I just wasn’t a fan of the smokiness of the chicken. I had the classic rotisserie chicken. I also ordered the French onion soup, it was yummy! However, as anyone whose had French onion soup, they know it’s salty. After having the chicken with the gravy, the soup didn’t taste salty at all! You know your entree is too salty when it makes French onion no longer seem salty. I didn’t send it back since my partner liked it. Service was great and so was the ambiance. Prices are too spendy. My parents love it, but I won’t go back.
Great ambiance, always have had great service. The food selection is good and really tastes good. Our go-to for dinner after theatre events in the cities.
Walking in the door, people were very friendly. The couple we met there had already checked in. So it was a breeze getting seated with a drink. It looked busy, parking was full. We got seated at our table, and our waiter was fantastic!!! Sebastian was his name. Tipped him well too. Ok, all was well till we got the food, asparagus was under cooked along with the wife's broccoli, also under cooked. My steak was the highlight of the meal, nice, really nice. Baked potatoes also were under cooked. Imo, they may have run out and hurried the veggies and potatoes out. I may give it another try here, but 40 bucks for a steak??
I made an RSVP for 6:15 and we were not seated until almost 6:45... This is unacceptable. If you bother to make a RSVP waiting for another 30 min past the RSVP time is just not acceptable.
Waiter was super nice and very attentive. I had ordered a steak medium rare and was served medium well. Flavor of the steak was sub par. Probably could have made a better steak at home in a pan. The small side of veggies I had were very over seasoned and couldn’t tell if I had carrots or sweet potatoes. Had ordered a Caesar salad and tasted like it was covered in garlic. Gave the food 2 stars but service was good. Wouldn’t mind going again just wouldn’t recommend the steak.
Great service and food as usual
I have always had excellent food and great service at Redstone... it is my favorite place to go with business associates or friends.
Not sure why they card 60 year olds. When questioned they say it's a city ordinance and it's not because I called the City of Maple Grove and asked.
Food and service was good.
Very upscale restaurant. nice atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. the food was excellent we had the ribeye steak and the salmon. our server Morgan was very nice and service was prompt. would come here again in the future.
Should have come with a bigger appetite.
I made reservations for Thanksgiving without even checking Redstone’s menu or the cost. Just knew we wanted to eat there. Turns out they had a great buffet and no ordering off the menu. The buffet was excellent and offered many choices including spit-roasted turkey, but also ribs, sirloin roast and pork loin. When we walked in, seeing those big, beautiful turkeys roasting on the spit really looked and smelled great. Price of $39.95 wasn’t cheap but it was great quality. We both said we would do this again next year!!
Food is quality and Consistent
We decided to go to Redstone to celebrate our anniversary as Open Table says its good for romantic dinners and special occasions.
I noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary. But, I'm guessing, they either don't pay attention to the note or don't care or both.
There was nothing special about the food. It was fine. I had the ribeye and she had steak and shrimp.
The cornbread with maple butter was good.
Our server was good. I believe his name was Cesar.
What made our experience suck is where they sat us. They put us in a booth next to the kitchen and the bar. It's tough to enjoy what should be a special, celebration dinner when you're next to a loud kitchen and have constant traffic from the servers running back and forth to the kitchen and customers going to and from the restrooms.
I took a look at the rest of the restaurant on our way out. I'm sure our dinner would have been memorable for the right reasons had we been seated somewhere else.
If you go there and they try and seat you in the booths where we were seated, ask to sit somewhere else. Even if you have to wait. I believe you'll have a much more enjoyable experience.
Last night we went to Baldamar in Roseville. They crushed it!
Disappointed with the fondue. The broccoli and cauliflower should’ve been raw. The boom boom on the cauliflower was completely wrong for that particular vegetable. Couldn’t taste the cauliflower at all and it did not work with the cheese. The addition that I did like was the pineapple. Very good combined with the beef or the chicken. Croutons are always fantastic and that hasn’t changed. My husband ordered quite a few items and did not love any of them. I am sure we will be back. The food is not always consistent but worth it when you have a good night.
Reservation was for 6:30 and got sat right before 7pm. Food was great and came quickly. Would have liked to have someone explain why there was such a delay in the reservation timing.
Really crushed on why I cannot give a great review. The place was filled with smoke and I mean filled, the vents where out. They had to open the doors and cool off the place, very cold and then close the doors and fill up with smoke. My down jacket had to be dry cleaned to get the smell out. Family had to go home and retake showers. Not sure if it was a health violation, just out of good sense and business judgement I would not have put guests through this. For the price and expectation I have when I go there this was dangerous and if not it was very disappointing. The server I felt awful for as you could see the place just struggled, manager was nice I am sure tough night for her. No one should have been charged for that experience nothing was offered. Still wondering why the business stayed open, I can't be the only one whom felt this and still upset about it from what was the number one restaurant in Maple Grove, please revisit your policy's.
Oue son picked Redstone to celebrate his birthday. The table there were expecting to seat us at was not clearing out in time, so they put us alone in the back room. It was awesome!
Our server was efficient, helpful attentive without being intrusive.
All these are good things. We have been to the Sunday Brunch and really enjoyed it. That being said, while the food was good, itnis way over priced. Given that coffee and a cola were the only beverages purchased, we though $160 (including tip) for four was a bit pricy.
Ambiance, quality of food and selection were all great. Had a very poor server.
Excellent service, great food. Enjoy eating there
Usual good food and decent service. A little noisy where we were sitting.
We ordered martinis and I requested mine to be very cold. When it arrived it was not cold so I requested they take it back and shake it longer. It took a while to get the drink back and when it was returned it contained 3-4 ice cubes!!! A martini shaken and served up should not have ice cubes floating in it!!! The drink wasn’t much colder and I left most of it in the glass.
The lobster bisque was good but not very hot.
I normally love Redstone but this experience was lacking.
Great food and service! The Parmesan crusted walleye was awesome!
It was very slow so you would have thought our food would be hot or at least very warm when we were served. We had ordered the cheese fondue and the cheese was not warm when it was brought to the table. Our main meal was not much better. Asparagus was cold, rice was luke warm and jerk chicken was about the same. Had to go to the bar to ask for a second drink for my wife. We used a gift card. We have been there several times this year alone but will not return.
PS. Carpet was not clean especially the entry.
Had the Ribeye "Oscar-style". Amazing dinner and service.
The service was good. Our table ordered a skillet of corn bread - it cane out really fast but it was dry even with the honey butter.
Our food wasn’t hot - flavor was good.
Excellent service from our waiter. Very friendly and helpful. The food arrived without much waiting and it was nice and hot!
The music really interferes with the experience of the restaurant. Please consider something more relaxing and turn it down a bit. Redstone is not a club. Also, I noticed the back kitchen did not look very clean...we enjoy coming there and always have great service.
We had a very nice time overall. The food could have been better. My baked potato was hard and not flaky like it should be. The Caesar Salad is okay, but I have had many better. I did not like the tap beer choices. The service was good.
Nice atmosphere, great food and service.
Our server was excellent and made sure everything was great.
AWESOME sea bass and AMAZING service by Alex.... thank you!!
Our service was OUTSTANDING! Our Server and the Manager were great, friendly, helpful, attentive. The food is a little expensive, but very good. It was a little loud but we were in a booth so had no trouble hearing each other. We appreciated this as our 81 year old Mother has a hard time in loud restaurants. We will be back!
Each of us ordered a different entree, of course so we could try more dishes. One entree was the grilled meatloaf off the retro menu, the others were the braised short ribs, the ribeye steak and the sea bass. We all agreed the meatloaf was fun to try, but probably wouldn't order it again; the short rib dish was the standout, ; the sea bass and steak were outstanding. We split two desserts again the retro bread pudding - very good, but the deconstructed banana cream pie. Love the atmosphere with the openness, the smell of the chickens on the rotisserie and all. The only negative was the length of time before our order was taken. Could be because we had reserved for 6, 2 were not able to come and I neglected to tell the server. Will go back for sure.
Outstanding food and service. The choices and unique take on typical dishes are awesome!
It was so warm where we were siting we were sweating.
