Redstone American Grill - Eden Prairie Ratings and Reviews
The food is great and the place looks great inside and out, but it is INSANELY noisy. With their meal prices as high as they are, I expect to be able to have a conversation at my table without having to yell. They play music relatively loudly (for a restaurant - it's not night club levels) in order to try and mask it, but it doesn't help.
If you're planning a group event then Redstone will be great, or if you plan to have a happy hour outside in the summer it's great for that too. I would not recommend it for a couples or family dinner though.
We have been coming to Redstone for several years on Saturdays, in particular, because we love the Lobster Bisque that was only available on Saturdays. We were quite disappointed this past Saturday when we learned that they no longer served this soup. The food is very well done in general, and apart from the soup, it would be really nice if Redstone would have a few vegetarian options.
We are all from out of town ( northern Minn and Wisc.) and it was the first time we have been to your restaurant. The atmosphere was so warm, and the Holiday decorations were gorgeous! Excellent service, fun waitress ,and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
We are all anxious to return!
It is our favorite, "go to" place. The food has always been very good and the service very attentive. Their ribs and chicken were our favorite but they no longer have that on the menu. It still worked out great. The wife ordered the chicken and I ordered the ribs. We split them just like we used to. VERY GOOD. The jerked-chicken fondue was very good (as always) but they no longer serve the fondue cheese over an open flame. The cheese cooled off too fast.
Aside from those two minor issues, Red Stone is still one of our favorite restaurants.
I had won a $50 gift card to this place, my fiancé and I wanted to have one last nice date night as a non-married couple before our wedding which is next weekend. We were looking forward to this date night as trying new places has been a part of our dating life. We will Never be going back here again, terrible wait staff and food was not edible. They did comp my meal, still will never go back.
Overall great service! Disappointed the menu is going through a change so wasn't able to get my usual Dish. The dish I tried I wasn't to happy with.. it has bacon which I am unable to eat for religious reasons and I had requested no bacon. My chicken in the salad had a piece of grissle which also put me off my meal. I usually have a great meal so this won't put me off from returning. Brussels sprouts (no bacon) were heaven! Server was very nice and decor is beautiful.
We had the shrimp and corn chowder and shared a wedge of cornbread for starters. This chowder is now a regular, daily part of the menu and is delicious! I ordered the double beef wellington and it was excellent. My boyfriend had the T-bone and he really enjoyed his as well. I also recommend the Chilean sea bass as it is one of my favorite entrees. Their banana cream pie is splendid as well. This is a favorite place of mine and we will be back. The one downside is the music playing was on the louder side.
We hadn't been to Redstone in quite a while and wanted a good meal to celebrate my son's birthday while he was home from college. Great choice! Excellent food, great service, not crazy expensive, decent menu options (although my husband was disappointed there were no pasta options) and great wine list. We all loved our meals! Need an excuse to go back soon. Yum!
We had 8 women. Birthday lunch. Ryan our server was so accommodating! Fabulous food, great service, good gluten free menu( they could add gluten free flatbread and all corn tortillas for tacos!)
Surprised us with two big wonderful birthday desserts! ( one gluten free)
This was a birthday dinner. We arrived in the waiter took our drink order and delivered it minus one wine. It took several request to get the wine. He was so intent on getting the corporate spiel out that he did not realize people were talking. He twice tried to take order when everyone was not present at the table. Once the order was placed it took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately only four of the five meals arrived, the fifth the hamburger we Saul being slapped on the grill after they realized it hadn’t been cooked. Two minutes later it was served browned on both sides and raw in the middle. It was inedible and no one came to check on it. I gave my daughter half of my meal so she had something to eat. There is more but I am not going to list it. We have been eating at Redstone for over a decade, this was our last meal there.
Not our best experience. We are regular customers of Redstone and go 10-15 times per year. Just had a bad experience this time with having to send food back because it was prepared wrong. We had to ask to have it removed from our bill after the revised order came 15 minutes after everyone else at the table got their food. The management should pro-actively discount the bill when an error occurs of this nature. The customer should not have to ask.
Our normal experience is excellent, just had a bad one this time.
Still pretty new to the Minneapolis area. We were looking for a place that could please a variety of diners and this succeeded. Our server was absolutely excellent. Charlie, I think? Charles? I wish we could remember. He had an ease and intelligence about the service and was friendly and thoughtful. Serving is not easy given all the expectations of customers, changing menus, etc. We hope we are seated with him if we return.
Food was good. Not as seasonal farm-fresh as we tend to enjoy most, but everything was good with balanced flavors, served at the right temperature. Food was just interesting enough and nicely presented.
Gluten-free menu was very small compared to the regular menu, but many dishes on the regular menu looked like they would easily be prepared without gluten (find a great gluten-free bun for the burgers, and gluten-free bread for sandwiches). Not sure why salads weren't on the gf menu?
The room is beautiful and the bar looked amazing as well.
