No food options for vegans. In this day and age, any reputable restaurant should serve vegan options.
We had a reservation so did not expect to be seated in the bar where the music was so horribly loud, kind of hard to listen and concentrate on conversations. But our server was great and the food was outstanding.
I have dined at Redstone EP at least 50 times and perhaps 100 times. This was a disappointing visit on several levels. Our server would just disappear for 10 -15 minutes at a time. We asked for a minute to look over the menu as we had guests who had never dined at the restaurant. After 20 minutes I was ready to go find him as he had not returned with several of our beverages or to take our order. He had forgotten the beverages and they finally arrived, thirty minutes after ordering them. Instead of the free mimosas, you have to pay for them now. Instead of the first generation caramel rolls in a skillet, or the second generation "morning bread", we were served almost inedible donut holes that were only made edible with the sauce. We all had the chef's brunch. The french toast is kind of a joke now and is a half slice of a loaf which must be 2" x 4". This had been my go to place to take guests and friends for brunch. Sorry- won't be back for brunch. Please don't ruin lunch and dinner!
Red Snapper was very fresh. Red pottoes very savory. Banana cream pie good.
Seated us next to a patio door which in the summer would have been great, but in the winter they should not even have a table next to a door that leads outside. My girlfriend and I were freezing because there was a draft coming through the door.
Food was fantastic 10oz filet was cooked perfectly beef Wellington was also good. Our server was a class act got along really well with him!
Cake was huge
Music much too loud. Friends could not eat their chopped salad, strange flavor, the house sale had way too much dressing, baked potato was not done. One positive was the chocolate chip cookie sundae. We were celebrating a Birthday and the sparkler was great and the dessert delicious.
Awesome server and awesome food
Loved they played modern music
Great service, great ambience, all around great. Braised ribs not our favorite preparation, but cooked very well. Everything else (ever) is a dish to recommend to others. Asian Seabass still an absolute favorite. Fondue and Keylime pie highly recommended starts and finishes to any meal there.
Steak was so chewy and no flavor for food
They failed to fulfill our reservation and put us in the bar. Then said we did not check in.
Everything was very good!
I have dined here several times but this time everything was just off, slow service, food late, lost my reservation to name a few. Too bad I will have to re-think if I come again
We've always greatly enjoyed Redstone and will continue to return.
The quality of our food was good and the waitress Kim was very good. However, my important guest ordered an expensive steak, filet medium, it came out close to well done. It was taken back and then the second level of poor service kicked in. We waited forever for the steak to come back out. We had to get the manager to check on it. Finally came out and was find. Everyone else was done however.
If that happens again I will not be back.
Food is overpriced. Love the ambiance, but the quality of food does not align with pricing, especially the entrees. We like the appetizers, especially the buffalo shrimp and the fondue. Also always love the lobster bisque. Banana cream pie is delicious too! Service is also usually very good. We will continue to visit, but will probably just do apps and dessert.
Food was fresh, tasty and really good. Service was good too.
We celebrated my birthday a day early for brunch. Our group of 6 had a lovely meal and enjoyed the ambiance. Every aspect of the experience was amazing. I feel very pampered after such a wonderful feast. Thank you!
The small plate special - scallops and steak - was very disappointing. Our server was great and the side dining room was a comfortable noise level for a busy Sat night..
We tend to have the same thing, ribs for my husband and parmigiano crusted walleye with the heavenly bur blanc.
We have dined at Redstone a couple of times. While we felt it was overpriced, the food was very good. There were four of us dining this last time. We all felt our food was less than par. King prime rib was blackened but way to spicy for this cut of meat. Baked potato was very plain, even with some toppings. Our son had the special with shrimp and pasta. It was tasteless. Shrimp's texture was typical of frozen shrimp--a little tough, and wet. The other meal was a half rack of baby back ribs. Meat was good, fell off the bones, but was skimpy for the price. Roasted veggies were also rubbery, and very few. Mostly carrots. We don't mind paying for quality food, but this was so disappointing. What has happened to Redstone?
We are regulars of Redstone and our experience this time was great. Food was perfect, service was attentive and got a booth per our request.
We had the buffalo shrimp, which was perfectly done. We split a rotisserie chicken salad and a slice of their corn bread. The salad is one of my favorites and the corn bread is so delicious!
Met friends there and had a very enjoyable to evening. Great service and food. Really enjoyed the recommendations given by the waitress. Great sense of humor.
Excellent service. Corn bread appie was good, as usual. However, Caesar Salad with chicken wasn't very good. And $58 for lunch (2 meals and no alcohol) is way overpriced when one of the meals was a below average salad with rubbery chicken and too little dressing. The other meal, a French Dip sandwich, was pretty good. Overall, not worth the price, even if the salad had been excellent.
I ordered a Ahi Tuna appetizer as my lunch. It is $17.00. The server then asks if I want a small or large - but failing to tell me the large is DOUBLE portions (making the appetizer $34.00). The large is not listed on the menu. I was upset that it wasn't explained to me fully. I thought I would get a few extra pieces of tuna when ordering the large and then paying four or five dollars more - but not double. They need to train staff to be crystal clear about what they mean, so there is no confusion on portions or pricing! The manager was FANTASTIC and gave me half my money back for my trouble. He handled the situation with class and wanted me to be happy. I appreciated it!
We always love eating at RedStones. The food is always great, the staff are awesome to work with, and it's always a fun experience.
Good for business, special occasions, dates and family
The jerk chicken fondue is fantastic, and is a meal by itself, plus very reasonably priced.
The house-made banana cream pie is worth a trip to the restaurant all by itself. Truly world class!
I had the Eggs Benedict that was marginal. The egg yolks were hard as a rock, the Hollandaise sauce was thin and tasteless, and the English muffins had a hot grease taste. However, the hash browns were very good and the service was outstanding. My wife had the build your own omelet and her hash browns were also very good. But her toast had the same hot grease taste.
