Prime Rib was overdone & chewy. French fries were soggy.
Food was delicious! Service was very good! Excellent wine.
Good variety of GF meals, but would love a bit more variety in the desserts!
I love their gluten free steak salad here. It is always quite good. We made a reservation and were originally seated at a high top table in the bar area. I have a bad back and would have liked it, had they asked if the table would be ok. We asked to be moved, which took a walk back to the front desk and some figuring out apparently but they did move us to a regular table. It wasn't a huge deal, I just think all restaurants should be made aware of accessibility issues, or ask up front.
Been going for years MG, Ridgedale and EP, usually always get Fondue as part of the outting, changed it significantly and not a fan anymore, too bad.
Can always trust food and service...
I am closer to the Ridgedale location, but have never grown to like the new mall move. Went to EP on Friday and felt like I reconnected with an old friend. I so appreciate the charm and ambiance from the old location and EP has it. Won’t go back to Ridgedale again. That’s just any restaurant with LED lighting and average character. Food may be the same, but the experience sure isn’t. Sorry you lost it there.
The tuna poke could use some bread or crackers served with it. Everything tasted delicious. Some items were a bit overpriced. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable.
Brandon was a fantastic server and made sure our drinks were always filled. We enjoyed his humor and personality.
Celebrate a birthday here and was treated to a special treat at the end of the night.
Anytime we have a special event we trust Redstone to provide the dining experience to remember our occasions. Once again thank you Redstone & Matt our server for everything!
Everything was wonderful except the “background” music was so loud we had to shout.
We shared the updated version of the cheese fondue. It was great but we did run out of cheese. My husband loved the sea bass and my chicken chop salad was good and as always, the corn bread is the best!
Interesting eggs Benedict served without hollandaise sauce
Still the best burger in town, but happy hour appetizers/prices only in the bar?? Ridiculous.
The food, service and atmosphere is always amazing at Redstone
I wish RedStone did something for birthdays, but overall it was a great experience! The New York strip is incredible, but my braised short rib wasn't as good the second time. Definitely going back for the NY strip!
I ordered the bacon Brussels sprouts which I have enjoyed before. It was very greasy, much more than in the past. More bacon and fewer sprouts. I won’t get that again. My two companions had the chicken chop salad which was quite good, tasty and fresh. They both liked it a lot.
We always celebrate birthdays at Redstone and it never disappoints!
We were seated at the very last table near the bathroom, along the wall, the table rocked, we had a cold draft blowing on us, so we were forced to put are coats back on, my husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger, it was completely dripping in grease, the bun was completely soggy, it was not a good experience.
Only complaint ....Restaurant is kept dark even at 1pm... kept blinds turned. Lighting is too dim for reading menu.
Buffalo shrimp are to die for
Great food and drink! Always some new drinks on the menu too
The occasion was a delayed Valentine's Day dinner with my forever Valentine.
Starters were glasses of Moscato & Pinot Noir to accompany the Buffalo Shrimp (highly recommend, by the way).
My Valentine ordered the Walleye which took up the entire plate and was served with crisp asparagus on a bed of garlic mashed.
I went against my gut, which was screaming steak. I caved when I read the about the Scallops and Linguine. In fact, props to the menu writer who either took creative license, or didn't tell the chef what was written. What came was an over-cooked cereal bowl sized portion of the most tasteless Linguine I have ever had in my life. Now on to the Scallops. WTH, Redstone? I was visualizing large succulent Scallops, perfectly seasoned and pan seared on both sides. What I received were what I can only describe as rubbery Scallop pellets void of any flavor.
This is the second time visiting a Redstone in 3 months - see Minnetonka review below. And it will most likely be my last. I'm not sure what's happened to the Redstone Brand, but it's drastically gone down hill from what was once an enjoyable dining experience.
Food and flavor was over rated, my jerk chicken was extremely dry. Tasted nothing like what I expected, but understood that is MN and spices are not well tolerated. The ambiance was less than desired parking was short outside and space was in greater demand on the inside. This is a one and done dining experience.
Redstone Eden Prairie is a very pleasant place to have a meal. The staff and food are both very good. My only complaint would be that their wine prices are quite high for what they serve. I would think that they could provide a choice of house white and house red for less than $10 per 4 to 5 oz glass. Consequently, I no longer have wine with my meals at Redstone.
Redstone is my favorite restaurant in the Minneapolis market. I go there multiple times per year and often suggest this to others traveling for business so I decided to go there for my daughter's birthday and the experience was not nearly as good as the last time I was there. The prime rib I ordered (medium rare) was tough, the buffalo shrimp was cool when it arrived and the servers seemed confused as they walked around the party room trying to figure out who ordered what. I will try this restaurant again but will hold off on recommending it until I feel confident this was a one-off unfavorable experience.
The food was excellent
Based off my last visit I’d have to say yes & no. food took in the long to come out from kitchen. Then order was 1/2 right.
Drinks are very average, on a busy day the food tastes mass produced
We went for Valentine’s Day and we were seated at a table by a window that was cold, and it was so dark that I couldn’t read the menu. It was obviously busy, but I did notice a couple booths nearby that I requested to be moved to, however even though I asked a couple different times, it was never addressed. I understand if it’s not possible but it seemed as though my request wasn’t at the top of anyone’s interest. The food was amazing, I definitely recommend the buffalo shrimp appetizer. On my first visit, service, environment, food... everything was a 10+ The server and food were the reasons I came back so this was disappointing on Valentines night when there are so many different places to go to on Valentine’s Day date. I would still recommend and probably go one more time to see if that night was the exception. My fingers are crossed as I drove 30 min for the same or similar experience.
I made Valentines Day reservations 3 weeks in advance but was still seated in the bar area. My $42 Filet was overcooked. I pointed this out to our server who went to reorder me another steak. The manager for some reason decided to interject herself and my reorder was cancelled. The manager seemed to think that we'd be happy if she simply credited me my dinner... but since I didn't eat the dinner, I don't see how that was really doing me a favor. Essentially I ended up with a bill of $180 (including tip, as there seemed to be no reason to punish the server who was doing her best) for the privilege of getting to watched my wife eat an overpriced meal in a bar.
A great Valentines dinner. The place was packed, but still we had great service and delicious food!
Steak pricy for portion
my ribs were great, my wifes steak salad was not so good. ordered medium came rare almost raw and was fatty and tuff . service was great.
Had a group of 8 high school students to dine before their dance. Waited for food for over an hour and had to get their food changed to, “to go” and they took it to the dance to eat it there before the dance closed it’s doors. So big swing and a miss unfortunately to what would have been a special evening.
We were disappointed to find that they had made changes to the menu, and some of our favorite things were no longer available. Also, the portion sizes were much smaller, making the dishes we ordered seem to be not a good value.
As always, Redstone never disappoints. The rotisserie chicken is a favorite.
It is a perfect day for me to have a meal at Redstone. I have been there many times and never been disappointed. The best is the patio, but still cozy and a good choice on a winter day.
We booked last min. And we were given a high top (former booth) table. It was fine, but not as relaxing as a booth. I should have mentioned this...but we were focused on our next event and didn’t.
