Food was excellent. Service was great. Server was so nice to take the time to write down for me the ingredients of one of the dishes that I liked so much. Pretty setting .
Couldn’t have been a better time for my birthday. The steaks were to perfection, the fish was great and several appetizers and desserts rounded out the meal from start to finish.
The ambiance was great and the server was wonderful-- friendly and helpful and funny. We enjoyed our drinks and the atmosphere but several of us found the food to be too heavily sauced and seasoned. The flavor of the actual fish became lost in the seasoning. I regret not asking for it to be served without the sauce. Otherwise, we had a nice evening; the environment is lovely, parking convenient, etc.
Took over 10 minutes to have a server greet us and get our drink order, we almost walked out. After that service was fine, food was good
They lost my open table reservation, so call and confirm. However, they reacted very quickly and got us sat at a high top in the bar. Zoe, our waitress, was absolutely awesome.

We had reservations early at 4:30. No one was at the hostess stand and we waited a few minutes for someone to show up. My husband then started walking around trying to find someone no luck. We finally went into the bar and let the bartender know we had reservations and could she help us. We said we will eat in the bar and looked at all the empty tables and said we will just sit here. Was then told told many of these are reserved. I said we have reservations. Finally she got the ok from someone to allow us to sit at a table in the bar area. I explained I made the reservations through open table and would like for someone to check us in. I guess all staff are not trained on how to do that because during the end of our meal I got an email from open table stating we didn’t show up. I went to the hostess stand and explained how I asked the bartender/server to take care of this and I guess she may have tried but not successfully. Bottom line- Reds has a list of reservations for each evening so it is safe to assume the majority will show up, please have a staff member there to greet guests. There is an overwhelming amount of restaurants in Grand Rapids who are willing to take our $110.00 dollars and provide excellent service and food. Make us feel appreciated and leave with a desire to return which we don’t have.

That staff was great at coordinating between high school dance couples and all the other guests. It was busy and chaotic but the staff at Reds was accommodating and having fun with all the patrons. Smiling and having fun is contagious. Thanks so much.
REDS IS VERY GOOD FOR FOOD AND SERVICE. sOMETIMES GETS A LITTLE NOISY.
Reds was a great place for a good dinner. The service was quick and amazing. The waitress wasn’t to pushy. The food was absolutely amazing. Steak was done just perfect. Would recommend Reds for a great date.

Were seated in the bar area. Quite loud but it was very crowded. But food was above average. Had an excellent waitress.
Food was pretty good but far less than what we came to Love in rockford. I told the manager politely what my honest feedback was...after he asked. He proceeded to argue. I simply said the steaks were not nearly as good as rockford. Bottom line instead of listening he was argumentative. I had my fam of 5....180.00 dinner bill. I said “do you want me to lie and say it was great? Or tell you the truth about my dining exp?” Bottom line he should be fired. Will not be going back. I used to go 1 time a week in rock. I heard reds is struggling ....now I know why. Food was ok. Not for 180.00 though our server was good
Met family for dinner. Food good as always, wait staff not the most attentive.
Noise level was good, as was service and ambiance. The wagu steak was not very good - the "special" was a good price but I think the regular menu would have been better.
Arrived before appointed time, were sat in the bar at a high top table. I asked for a table or booth and was told they were all reserved. In walks a couple, asks if there’s any open seating, is told no, goes to bar and is given a booth. This irritates me, as I made a reservation! Food was good, service great, considering how busy it was. I guess it depends on who you are as far as seating goes.
While we rarely see the same hostess/manager/wait staff each time we go to Reds, we still find the service excellent (except for the rabble of endless hostesses who are clueless to the concept of actually 'hosting' guests) the food and service excellent. We like the 'clubby' atmosphere and the great menu. The view is stunning in every season because the clubhouse is set on a hilltop overlooking the golf course. The plantings around the deck/patio which include bird-friendly shrubs/bushes almost always give us a look at differing bird life each visit. Hawks, Cedar Waxwings, Blue Birds in the winter, etc.
We were there for Christmas Eve dinner and made reservations for 5:45pm. When we sat down and waited for two of our friends to arrive, the waitress says we have to order our meals before 6:00pm otherwise we will not have our meals. This was never warned when I made the reservations and was very disappointed how they handled it. We all felt pushed and rushed to finish our meals so the employees of the restaurant can go home. We were disappointed how we were treated and should have never paid the full price for a "rush meal."

Got a reservation in the late afternoon for 7:15, wirhour a problem. Arrived on time and noticed the dining room was full with a Christmas party. We were escorted the bar area and placed at a table for two in the middle of the traffic aisle. We asked to be moved and were offered seats at the bar. When I inquired about the two open tables directly behind us, we were told that they were reserved. Kind of thought we had a reservation! Bar staff seemed more interested in the football game and chatting with the regulars. Food was not hot when it arrived. Tasted fine, just not hot. When we left both tables behind us were still empty. Maybe this was a one off bad experience as we have had fine meals here before. Definitely was not the dining experience we had hoped for.
Our server Melissa was very friendly and very outgoing. We will definitely request her upon our return.

My wife became ill after eating the crab cake sandwich and the seafood chowder. She has an iron stomach and eats seafood pretty regularly. She became very ill about an hour after arriving home and mostly through the night. Management seemed concerned, but my phone call has not been returned.

Our server was perfect, gave us time to visit before we ordered our dinner and had great suggestions and recommendations. The food was delicious and hot. It was a wonderful evening out with friends at a wonderful restaurant.

Food came out cold. Nachos and sandwiches lacked presentation. Service slow. Staff did not know how to handle Open Table dining rewards redemption, so I paid using credit card instead.
A place where there’s plenty of outdoor deck space to view the golf course along with a great view of nature. Food is good and locally made. Worth the drive to get away from the busy city.

our dining experience was not the first here and won't be the last, we arrived on time , slightly before. table was ready and accessible as i needed a walker . waitress was relatively new and didn't know the menu of drinks but was prompt tto deliver whatever we asked for. drink portions were fair sized for cost and water was never empty. appetizers very tasty and again portion was fair for cost. problem was with kitchen, it took forever after ordering apps or diner, restaurant wasn't busy , waitress was trying but there just wasn't food to deliver. it was very good and hot when it did arrive. in total , we socialized a lot , enjoyed each other's company but service in kitchen could have been better.
We have liked everthing there is to like about Reds been there 10+ times never anything bad to say.
Disappointed, Made reservations a week ahead assuming we would be seated in the dining room with a nice view overlooking the golf course. Instead ended up in the bar seated under a big screen TV. When asked to be moved we were told that was the best we could do but they did turn off the screen, for a while, anyway less than optimal for what we had hoped to be a time of quiet conversation with friends.
Happy hour was great! We took advantage of the $4 house wines and $3 off appetizers! The tuna tartare and loaded fries were great to start. Tj got the prime rib which was cooked perfect at rare plus and tasted purely like a great cut of beef (very little salt/seasoning). I got the seafood pasta and it was on the sweet side. Great service and beautiful restaurant.
Love Reds. Food is consistently good. Sometimes the service is a little slow but overall a good value with nice ambiance
I placed a reservation online for 8:45, we drove all the way out there from Byron Center for a birthday dinner to be told they were closing in 15 minutes and we couldn’t have our dinner because 2 weeks ago they changed their hours. Would have been nice to get a call to let us know that before we made that wasted trip and had to go find a new place to have dinner at 9pm.
