Food and service were very good, although a little pricey for casual dining.

our dining experience was not the first here and won't be the last, we arrived on time , slightly before. table was ready and accessible as i needed a walker . waitress was relatively new and didn't know the menu of drinks but was prompt tto deliver whatever we asked for. drink portions were fair sized for cost and water was never empty. appetizers very tasty and again portion was fair for cost. problem was with kitchen, it took forever after ordering apps or diner, restaurant wasn't busy , waitress was trying but there just wasn't food to deliver. it was very good and hot when it did arrive. in total , we socialized a lot , enjoyed each other's company but service in kitchen could have been better.

Disappointed, Made reservations a week ahead assuming we would be seated in the dining room with a nice view overlooking the golf course. Instead ended up in the bar seated under a big screen TV. When asked to be moved we were told that was the best we could do but they did turn off the screen, for a while, anyway less than optimal for what we had hoped to be a time of quiet conversation with friends.

Happy hour was great! We took advantage of the $4 house wines and $3 off appetizers! The tuna tartare and loaded fries were great to start. Tj got the prime rib which was cooked perfect at rare plus and tasted purely like a great cut of beef (very little salt/seasoning). I got the seafood pasta and it was on the sweet side. Great service and beautiful restaurant.

I placed a reservation online for 8:45, we drove all the way out there from Byron Center for a birthday dinner to be told they were closing in 15 minutes and we couldn’t have our dinner because 2 weeks ago they changed their hours. Would have been nice to get a call to let us know that before we made that wasted trip and had to go find a new place to have dinner at 9pm.

The waitress did an excellent job with our table and I really like the ambiance. However, I thought the food was just OK. The vegetarian farro dish was bland as was the Scottish Salmon. The homemade noodles served with the seafood pasta alfredo could have been mixed with a bit more sauce but and lacked a distinct alfredo sauce flavor. The pesto chicken sandwich was the best dish among those at our table.

We were in the bar area and it was still pretty nice, I think the other side is a little fancier. Food was good.

We decided to try Reds at it's new location at Thousand Oaks for my birthday dinner. We ended up being seated in the bar area right off the pro shop. It was quite noisy with all the golfers coming in after their rounds to enjoy a few drinks, and as a result it was a bit difficult for us to carry on a conversation. Menu was more extensive and varied than the prior location in Rockford, which makes it nice for families or those not wanting a heavy meal. My husband ordered a pizza, and I had the prime rib Oscar. Both the food and service were very good. Price was as expected. Definitely would recommend Reds food-wise, but would suggest asking for dining room area seating if you want a quieter dinner experience.

A beautiful night to be out on Reds' covered deck. The view is spectacular, the food and service good. No complaint from us! The fire pits added a nice ambiance to the evening.

Red's was a treat! We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching Sunday golfers tee off while enjoying delicious food, good service, and great atmosphere.
We enjoyed a few apps; beer cheese dip and hummus were outstanding and I appreciated all of the fresh veggies served with the hummus.
I tried the blue/honey/pear salad and liked that it was just enough after the delicious apps. My dining companion enjoyed the burger which was cooked to perfectly.
Seems like a great place for parties as well. We'll be back!

We had a really tasty meal with good service and the portion sizes were very nice. The outside dining offers a relaxing view of a section of the golf course. We've been to Reds before and were not disappointed on our return.

Food was ok, maybe could have been better if it was brought out on time and still hot. Bread had become soggy by the time we were eating. Order was given incomplete and overall service was very slow. Apparently a large party was there during our time so the diners on the patio were ignored for long periods of time. We were there over an hour before our meals came out. Our drinks took
over 20 minutes to receive and appetizers over 30 minutes. While the server seemed to be nice, she did not acknowledge her mistakes or apologize for them, nor offer to remedy the incomplete order she gave us (ordered a salad with appetizers which she clearly heard and related back at the end of the order but was never brought out). The restaurant is on a golf course, which is beautiful and the menu has a lot of options but nothing we recieved was especially great or even very good, again possibly related to the temperature and probable length of time it sat in the kitchen waiting to be delivered to our table. I may give this place another chance but nothing other than the setting was memorable.

Really enjoyed our meal for the 1st night of GR Restaurant Week. Excellent choices for the 3 course meal with enough variety to keep all 4 of us happy. Loved the Burrata as well as the Kung Pao cauliflower appetizers! A little slow on the desserts but the wait staff explained/apologized. Only disappointment was that we were looking forward to the outdoor dining on the fabulous deck but were told it was already full and that we should have requested it when making reservations. Open Table online did not offer that as a choice. To add to the disappointment, we were seated by a window and saw several empty tables (that remained unoccupied) outside during our meal. Otherwise, delicious food & super service!

Patio was lovely but it couldn't make up for the poor service. Our server was pleasant but left us with empty water classes and coffee mugs more than once and forgot about our request for butter. It was brunch and we had toast. She should have brought butter and jam initially.
Our scrambles were ok but the desserts were excellent.

At 5:15 the bar was "swamped" according to our server which is why the beverages were taking longer to bring to the table. We looked around the restaurant at the empty tables after the server left our table and were puzzled by the "swamped" comment.

We had to request bread with our entrees, drink refills for the non-alcoholic drinks and one food order was delayed because it didn't get placed with the others. Two members of our party ordered pizza and it was cold when it was brought to the table, perhaps because they were trying to locate the missing entree that didn't go in with the rest of the orders.

After the meal the server did not clear the dishes and was MIA for a long period of time before we requested that our check be brought to the table. All in all a disappointing evening out with guests who were dining at Reds for the first (and last) time.

The ambiance is nice, but mediocre food and poor service mean that Reds will not be on our list of places to dine in the future.

Service was good, we had time to enjoy our company and cocktail, food was a little slow being served. 3 of us ordered Prime rib and sorry to say all three were over done. My husband and I bragged up the prime to our guest and was disappointed.

Our meals were great. The service was better than great. The only problem is the noise level. We heard several other tables complaining about the noise also. We want Reds to stay in our community. We live in Thousand Oaks. Maybe the owner should consider some type of noise deadening panels in the ceilings.

An absolute great time. Service was very good, great menu choices as always. The seafood bisque was outstanding! Steaks were done exactly as ordered and the perch was very good, only minor problem was the smaller pieces of perch were overcooked as they were deep fried.
All in all our out-of-town guests were very pleased with the whole experience. We will be going back in the near future.

I had never been to Reds when it was in Rockford so I wanted to try this. We went when we had family in town before a Whitecaps Game. I was very impressed by the style and decor of the restaurant, large outdoor seating area, great food, many gluten free options and the superb service. It was a little loud at first due to a golf outing in the bar area, but quieted down after they left. Great experience and will definitely be back!
