Multiple hairs in the food, shrugged off like oh well. Last meal there.
Extensive drinks list, especially gin. Value menu, 3 course meal for $35.
We had issues with our table (table of 7 split into two) and we complained but were accommodated right away to another table.
Our initial service was slow. The bartender/waitress seemed unsure of who her tables were and did not come over. But once we hailed someone (possibly a manager), all was rectified.
The prix fixe is a great deal. Our food was spectacular and the kitchen gave us complimentary apple pie to try as we were all talking about it.
All in all in was a superb meal and a great send off party for one of our colleagues.
We had a really great server. She was friendly and had a great sense of humour.
Last minute Valentine’s Day date. Amanda, our waitress was awesome. We especially enjoyed the garlic shrimp and ravioli!
What a fantastic restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. I highly recommend trying their tasting menu. Great food for a even better price. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for all occasions.
Went here as part of Winterlicious. The food was good and the service was spectacular! Staff was fantastic and great with food knowledge and recommendations. I went to three restaurants this year as part of Winterlicious and this was by far and away the best. Will definitely be going back.
Great server! He went the extra mile for us. A little too noisy for a date I think.
Excellent place! Great service and food!
While the service was absolutely outstanding, the food was not.
Our server was great. The food was great.
Had a really nice evening.
Great downtown restaurant. Would recommend highly. Have been numerous times.
Date night for my hubby and I before our newest addition arrives. First time at Reds, food was excellent, service was great and ambiance was perfect for a Saturday night out.
My husband had the steak and shrimp which, was so flavourful, although slightly over cooked for his liking, but still tasted amazing! I had the Butter Chicken which was also full of flavour and spice. Only thing I found lacking was the dessert menu. Nothing too exciting so we ended up going for an after-dinner drink and dessert at another restaurant in the area. We will be back though to try more dinner menu items!
I’ve always enjoy my visits to this establishment. I had the chicken this time and it was just juicy and delicious! My friends who were here for the first time said they will definitely return.
Great Value for Food and Excellent Service
Our party of 4 dined at Reds on a Sunday evening and we all loved the dishes we ordered. We started with the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and the Calamari Fritti. The Ahi Tuna Tostadas were creatively presented and fresh. Three of our party ordered the Prime Rib and found it delicious. They especially liked that it came with Yorkshire Pudding, Vegetables and Mashed Potatoes which could be substituted with Fries. I ordered the Ravioli and Garlic Shrimp and it was creatively presented and delicious. Our server, Michael, was friendly, attentive and professional which enhanced our dining experience. Reds also has a Prix Fixe Menu (3 Courses for $35) as well as a Sharing Menu. Whether you try Reds Midtown for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed. Thanks for another great dining experience.
Awesome place never been there before but not the last time for sure!
We came for a late New Year’s Eve dinner, we had the shareable New York steak with 3 sides. Food was amazing, service was great and we really enjoyed the decor and ambiance. We were also really impressed with the create your own gin and tonic menu. Can’t wait to come back again!
Very loud and vibrant environment that is consistent with this restaurant chain. Although a loud environment is not my preference, their Farmer's Market Quinoa may be worth a revisit.
Three of my friends and I came for a New Year's Eve dinner. The prix fixe was reasonably priced and they were accommodating of the vegetarians in our group. The food was very good and served quickly. Drinks are great too. Only down side is that it's a very noisy restaurant.
Service and good was great!
It was a great experience, the food, the music, the service... everything perfect!
New Year's Eve dinner for four booked in advance. Arrived and watched the hostess seat 3 walk-ins without a reservation right at the front of the restaurant with a great view. We were brought to the VERY BACK of the restaurant in the corner. Not impressed. Downhill from there.
Waiter was not very accommodating. Any of the cocktails we ordered were "unavailable" and we could choose from the cocktail list. Honestly, what bar doesn't have orange juice for a vodka and OJ?
The food was probably the only redeeming part of the evening. Ate off the prix fixe menu and choices were decent. Will not be returning to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to my friends and colleagues in the area.
The table we were first seated at was right beside the front door. Not at all what I expected. I asked for another table, but there only tables next to where we were first seated. I little better but not great. A choice of tables on your booking site in future where be preferred.
I was at Reds with a business associate for lunch on a business December day. The service was very efficient and attentive. The food was very good. I look forward to a return visit.
Good food and great service. Loved the ambiance. Good for a one step above regular casual dining. I gave this restaurant a better rating in every category than the CN Tower.
Ordered from the tasting menu. Yorkies (appetizers) were good. Chicken carbonara (main) was meh - pasta was hard, chicken was dry, but the sauce was tasty. Chocolate chess pie (dessert) was inedible - the "pie" was super hard and I could barely bite into it. Service was a bit slow so it was a bit of a wait. Nice atmosphere and drinks, but the food ranges from mediocre to average.
Great service and good food. Will be back.
Our waitress was so nice, and helpful too. I liked her a lot but I feel so bad because I can't remember her name! Well, in case someone from Red's Midtown is reading this, our waitress served us Friday evening between 5-7pm, she was a young lady in her 20s with long, light brown hair...she was great! Also, I really loved the food. 3/4 of us at our table ordered ribs and we all loved them so much. Anyway I'll definitely be back! Hopefully soon because I loved it. I'm thinking of returning for my birthday. Keep up the great work! Cheers.
We really enjoyed the decor! Most of The food was good, some needs a little mite finishing touches and soup portions were very small for the price. The servers were great and the prices were fair.
Food and atmosphere were good, and our server Brad was excellent. The place was lively and on the loud side, but my friends and I had no trouble conversing without raising our voices (we were at a corner table, which may have helped). If you're in the neighbourhood, it's worth a visit.
I love Reds. I have been here many times and the food and service is usually great. This time was a disaster. Our server never showed up, and his assistant and the manager had to serve us. The food was cold and mediocre. We will try again, but I hope the owner takes notice that this should not become the norm.
The service was very excellent. For the most part we enjoyed our mains, however the one was under seasoned. Desserts were excellent.
Decent food. Expensive for what we got.
Excellent experience. The food was fantastic. Fresh, unexpected ingredients combined in a unique and delicious way. Great ambience and great service made this an overall excellent experience. I would highly recommend!
First time here and would definitely return!! My daughter and I loved the ambiance, the hustle-bustle on a busy Thursday evening, the excellent food and service! Highly recommend!!
We ate the 35$ 3 course meal which was good but which turned out far more expensive when we added on all the extras such as drinks, tax, service charge etc.
Group went for burgers. We were all more than satisfied with their burger. Freshly ground and cooked perfect.
Unfortunately they had run out of certain beer on tap. Also ran out of Yorkshire pudding.
Server was on the slow side. At the end of the night she told us they just ran out of burgers.
Would go again for burgers.
Prime rib was delicious. Loved the $5 G&T during Gin O'Clock.
Service seems to be getting slower and slower upon each visit. Tables bar side are not designed to dine 4 people.
We are not talk gourmet food, but burgers, ribs and some bar food. Lots of beers. Need basic good food and a beer? Then try it.
