Red's Bar & Grill Ratings and Reviews
WE had a great time (Six people) after a "Sox/Brewers" game. We had called earlier for Res. and were told you were booked for an outside table till 5:00...We arrived at about 4:15 and there were many tables available outside, which we had asked for. The "ONLY" draw back to the outside seating that we found were the damn birds landing on the tables and chairs. Your food was "Great"....Thank You JL
Website doesn't state if you book after 11AM the brunch isn't available. Geez what about the folks who go to church?? I guess only the golf people matter. Most breakfast buffets on a Sunday are until at least noon. Service was terrible. Super slow, had to go to the hostess station to get our check. Food was just ok. One member of the party asked for a burger without the bun...it was delivered with the bun. No ketchup for fries. Very pricey for such poor service.
The restaurant was extremely busy for a Monday night. There were many groups and we had to ask for a server to come to the table. Once that happened, we got our drinks and orders taken in a reasonable amount of time. Two of us had burgers which were very good. One had the chicken enchilada which was good but would not be ordered again. The last in the group had the Korean wings appetizer which he's had before and loves. He couldn't finish the 10 wings which were plump and delicious. It is a wonderful dish to share. Sitting outside was very pleasant even though it was dark and we couldn't see the golf course or putting green. There could have been more heaters and the one near us ran out of propane and no one came to put in a new tank. Red's is in our neighborhood and we will go back.
We found the restaurant to be very noisy. The wait staff seemed to be quite overwhelmed. I find it unnerving to have them running to do their job. The food was ok. It came out warm but the menu selections were strictly pub grub. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.
Service was outstanding. Food was poor. Ordered BBQ ribs $21. For 1/2 slab. They were overlooked & dry. Wife ordered fish & chips for $18. Taste was bland & there was a great deal of breading. Spent a total of $60 Including gratuity. Have eaten better quality food for much less at chain restaurants. Very disappointed. On the upside , the crab dip appetizer was excellent!
Staying at the Wigwam resort chose this to meet an old friend for lunch.
Because of the temperature and no remaining outdoor seating in the shade we chose to eat inside. Ambience not much better than a cafeteria. Bad acoustics - unable to carry on a conversation. Food decent. Caesar salad not really a Caesar but not bad under another name.
The food was very good. My husband had a burger, which he always enjoys here. I tried the BLT and it was loaded with bacon and very good. This is the second time we've been here recently that the food takes a very long time to come out of the kitchen. The server did stop by several times to say it was coming but it didn't. We were disappointed with this visit.
Red's has very good burgers. My husband and I each had the Jesse burger and they were very good and cooked as we had requested. I thought the sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries. Our server was friendly and provided good service. There is a good selection of beers and many large screen TV's around the room.
We decided to try Red's again after it's "redo" . Very happy we did, the restaurant looks alot more updated and the outside dining has a beautiful view of one of the Wigwam's golf courses. The food is made fresh and it is delicious! I first ordered the Tortilla soup and it was fantastic, fresh tortilla strips on top, you can really tell it was freshly made. I also ordered the fish tacos, they were an app, but that is all I wanted. I got three small corn tacos with cabbage and onions and lightly fried fish... very tasty! My husband got the chicken enchiladas which he devoured quickly. We will be back.
My husband and I together with friends ate for the first time at Reds. We ordered onion rings for appetizers and thought the batter was delicious. As Brits we thought that the batter used for onion rings would be replicated in the batter for fish and chips…. WRONG….. very bready. Wouldn't order again. My husband ordered the True Blue hamburger… looked very yummy and my husband enjoyed very much. Would we visit again? Yes! But probably order a hamburger certainly not the fish and chips.
As a footnote the entertainment that evening was very loud and noticed that seating around the proximity of the duo was vacant.
