RedRossa Italian Grille Ratings and Reviews
Food as always was great. We said we were going to share a 3.00 salad in addition to our entre. Waiter didn’t separate or bring another plate when asked he forgot it until we were done. When we got the bill the salad was 5.50. Once paid no offer of water or soda refills. Seems name of restaurant is changing and rebranding.
My husband and I met a another couple here and enjoyed out lunch very much. The food was good, service was OK, and I like the ambiance. I was not overly busy so we could all hear and enjoy the conversation and that is significant for 3/4 of the table having hearing aids. They have a nice lunch pairing section on the menu.
Ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, the meatballs tasted old and just of garlic, ate one out of the four. The service was extremely slow and there were hardly any customers in the building. Of the one other occupied table, a lady was over served and constantly dropped the f bomb which added to the overall ambience of the worn and dusty restaurant.
Although it wasn't very busy, the service was very slow and we rarely saw our server. However, the food was absolutely delicious, there were four of us, and with appetizers and drinks and our meals it was only $100, (that's including several glasses of wine) that's a tough value to beat. Would definitely eat here again, maybe it was just a bad night for our server
This was our first time at Red Rossa Italian Grille. It was a convenient location for meeting with our out-of-town friends. Because it is connected to a hotel, the parking lot was packed - plan a few minutes to find a spot. Inside, we were seated right away and had a great waiter. The food was very good, and they offer some interesting combinations - but a little on the pricey side.
I dined at Redrossa twice last weekend. Our server, Justin, was exceptional. Super fun, friendly, got our orders right, was quick with the drinks, and remembered me from one night to the next. I wasn't crazy about the seafood diablo, as the sauce was too bold for the delicate seafood and the soggy scallops seemed like they just cooked in the sauce, but everything else was superb. The spaghetti and meatballs were amazing, the huge portion of walleye was perfectly cooked and delicious, and the chop chop salad is reason enough to go back every day. I'll be back!
The restaurant was clean and hostess was friendly. However, our server could not remember the drink order, it was a business lunch so only water, tea and diet Coke. The salads were not served prior to main entree, one not served at all. Food took an hour and 15 mins, so we didn't have time to finish and all hot meals were lukewarm. Requests, such as , no scallions was forgotten.
This was not the experience I wanted for first time, in-person meeting with my clients.
Visiting Red Rossa for a lunch gathering with co-workers was a very pleasant experience. After reading some Yelp reviews, which were very mixed, I was a bit unsure and felt we were taking a risk, but we were all very pleasantly surprised when we walked into the restaurant. It's attached to a hotel, so it is a little hidden, but once inside, it did not seem like a hotel restaurant at all. The decor was very nice and looked up-scale.
Two of my co-workers ordered lunch combos ($10) and it looked like the perfect amount of food. And the house salad that they chose for their combo looked great and full of fresh ingredients. Three of my co-workers had salads as their entree and all of them said how fresh and good they were. My boss in particular mentioned how she can usually taste if a salad has been sitting around for a while or if it is fresh. Without a doubt, this one was fresh, she said. I ate a great pasta dish (spicy Romano cream sauce). It tasted excellent and I wish my plate did not empty so fast (the portion was hearty, but not an outrageous amount. I did not feel guilty eating it all). The tiramisu and cappuccino cake for dessert was great as well. From what I remember, the menu had a variety of options.
Our server was friendly and helpful. There were not many people in the restaurant at lunchtime, but it seemed like a good place to go any time of day. I would return there and recommend it to others.
The salmon was burnt and undercooked at the same time. Was it by chance frozen? No idea what other reviewers were referring to. The waiter forgot our drinks twice .. normally that’s totally fine if busy but we were literally 1 of 4 tables. Then he literally disappeared until almost the end of our meal. Bummed about our experience since I was hoping for some great Italian eats.
We chose RedRossa because of its proximity to the airport; members of the group converged from several directions. They had good selections, well presented, and generous portions. We all liked the kalamari appetizer...both taste and quantity. The waiter was very attentive. Noise level was hard to judge, as our party was pretty much alone in the space (late Sunday afternoon). Accordingly, we could hear and enjoy the overhead music (70s and 80s rock/pop). Like most places nowadays, it will likely be too loud when the house is full. Overall, a pleasant experience. We'll go back.
This was our first visit to RedRossa and we really enjoyed it. We were staying at the Embassy Suites nearby and drove over for an Italian dinner on our anniversary. The food was good and the service was outstanding. We were surprised with a desert item which was excellent. We'll be back.
Ordered the seafood Diablo. The clams were improperly cooked and about the size of a pea, the shrimp was overcooked and the scallops had no sear on them. The spaghetti was cold and the sauce was watery at the bottom of the bowl. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and got sick after eating it.
Went there for lunch with three coworkers and had to wait at the hostess stand even though there was nobody in the restaurant at the time. One person at our table had ordered water and got some sort of soft drink. When we were all finished I had set my credit card out to pay the bill and the waitress took my credit card but it took 20 minutes to bring her check back with that credit card.
Gathered family for our elderly moms birthday. Food was great! Ambiance wonderful and warm. Our waiter was a bit slow in returning with requests but otherwise very good. We weren't in a hurry so it was fine. If we had been it could have been problematic. Will return!!
This was my bird dining experience. This was my first dining experience during the lunch hour and was very disappointed. I had eaten here twice before, once very late around 11 p.m. and another time during the dinner hour around 6:30 p.m. and both of those times the service was amazing. We arrived early for our 12:15 reservation around 12 o'clock and we were seated immediately. We got our beverages very quickly but then waited nearly 25 minutes for any bread or our salads or anything. The dining room was not busy at all. For what should have been a quick in and out dining experience as we have had before we were there for an hour and 20 minutes. Our initial order was dropped in the kitchen and we had to wait for our food once again. And we had to keep an eye on our server because if she disappeared she was gone a long time. Definitely would not recommend this place for lunch but may come back again when we are in town to go to dinner.
Our experience was not great at RedRossa, but could've been improved by a better employee. We waited at least 20 minutes (it was not busy by the way) at our table before anyone acknowledged we were there. The table next to us did the same thing but they left before anyone showed up. Our waiter took my drink for a refill right before my food came and didn't come back with it until I was almost finished with my meal. The food was pretty good. Price wasn't bad. Simply had very poor service.
I had the soup and a pizza, my sister had the pot roast. Everything was delicious. Our server was either new, improperly trained, or both. My sister asked for some milk with her hot tea - not once but twice. I finally went to the bar and got it for her and by then the tea was cold. At no time did our server ask how our meal was. I'd still go back - the pizza was fantastic.
The service was very good and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so it was easy to have a conversation, but the food wasn't that great and my boyfriend actually got a really bad stomach ache after eating there and spent most of the rest of the night in the bathroom, so I'm guessing something was a little "off" with his food.
