Great place, usually has seating, low noise, great food and service
Bavarian Pretzel was amazing, as was the Wiener schnitzel and the ravioli. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Ambiance was casual, intimate, and comfortable. It was our first time there. Can’t wait to bring others.
Went out for a birthday celebration, service was very good. Food was good but not exceptional. Prices were a bit high. All and all it was an enjoyable meal.
We love Redlefsen's and keep coming back. Everything is good here, and the spaetzel is a great accompaniment to any of their specialties. There is a great German beer selection and friendly, efficient service.
It might not be the cheapest date night but if you care about quality and like German fare or local seafood, it's definitely worth the price.
Nice dinner after attending opening at Bristol Art Museum
We always enjoy the food. Nice menu and atmosphere!
We ordered the croquettes for an appetizer and the center room temperature, at best.
Redlefsen’s always delivers! Great food, great staff, great location! A favorite restaurant.
Birthday dinner was very good. I wasn't crazy about the Bolognese, but the atmosphere was wonderful.
Great food at a beautiful restaurant
Went for New Year's Eve - was sort of a quiet setting - but was bitterly cold! Food was good as always - but just did not have the same feel as other times. Our server was ok, not really enthusiastic or accommodating. My daughter had requested Chicken piccata instead of Cod piccata (has been happily done in the past), and our server was sort of like, yeah...no. So, we were a bit disappointed with that. Was not crowded, and our seating felt a bit cramped. Still a great place to dine - but may give it a rest for a bit.
The food was superb and the service was second to none. Owner came over and spoke with us for a while. Went all the way, appetizer, meal, dessert, and if course drinks. Great experience.
Wonderful Austrian, Alsatian,German cuisine done expertly. German beers on tap make it all the better.
We had an earlier reservation, but had to delay because of traffic and other commitments with guests. The OpenTable allowed me to switch in seconds. We arrived and had a lovely evening in the bar area which was very cozy by the fire. Good food and service was excellent
As always a great place.
Hadn't been to the restaurant in awhile, was out of the area. How i had missed the great food, will be back soon
It was wonderful evening as always would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Not to mention they make a great grey goose martini.
We had a liter of beer , beet and goat cheese salad, and viena schnittzel
Redlefsen's is one of our favorite spots, and with good reason. It is a pleasure to walk into this restaurant and be so nicely greeted, seated, and especially fed. The food is consistently wonderful. Looking forward to our next visit.
We travel 1.5 hours to enjoy the German food options. Worth the trip.
Friendly, attentive service. Delicious clam chowder. We had the Restaurant Week special and it was tasty. Sauerbraten was a little dry but the schnitzel and spaetzel was very good.
We had a very enjoyable experience. The food was cooked to perfection. The butternut squash and apple soup was particularly excellent as was the apple strudel. We would definitely return and recommend it to others.
Four of us shared a humongous pretzel that was outstanding. It brought back memories of a trip to Germany especially for my daughter who spent a year studying in Tubingen. My favorite dish here is the Saurbraten and it was delicious as always.
We have been looking for an authentic German restaurant for sometime. Reflefsen's checked all the boxes including the beer assortment.
Outstanding as always. Authentic sauerbraten & spaetzle. New item: Fresh baked pretzel with cheese sauce and mustard. What fun with drink before dinner!
Our son is a student at Roger Williams, we took him out for his birthday. Nice mix of authentic German and French food, sandwiches, seafood. Everything was delicious, but particularly enjoyed the mushroom crepe.
My mother is visiting from out of town and I couldn't wait to bring her to one of my favorite places to eat. Great food...friendly service!
This was our first visit to Redlefsen's, and it certainly won't be our last. Service was excellent from the moment we entered the restaurant (friendly and attentive). and the food was delicious. They also have a great beer selection (mainly German draft beers, but also a variety of other European and domestic beers).
Being during Octoberfest we went for their German menu items and the everything except dessert was really good, hit the spot. They really need to think about changing up who does their baking - blackforest cake was dry, jelly like cherry pie filling, frosting tasted like butter. Apple strudel just not the top notch one should expect from a German restaurant
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. A little loud on the bar side, but we have had good experiences on the restaurant side where it is usually much quieter.
Service was terrible. Took 15 minutes for our server to greet us. Apps came before our initial drink order. Server was no where to be found. Food was subpar at best. Ordered a second drink before dinner, received dinner, finished dinner, no drink came.
We always get the schnitzel. It has always been five star, but this time it was a little off. The pork was a little tough and the veal was a little thick. I hope this review helps to get one of our favorite places back to five stars. Service was great as usual.
We had a lovely Sunday evening meal seated at a quiet table. The Red Salad was the perfect starter to our dinner. It is slightly sweet with dried cherries and sliced pears. My husband had the traditional German Goulash which he always enjoys. I had the shrimp scampi. Always a favorite of mine. This is a very nice restaurant with a friendly and attentive staff. Definitely a favorite of our family!
Never had a bad meal at Redlefsen's. Always great food and service.
We had a group of six and the place was empty. We got our meals an hour later and after the two couples who arrived after us.
We have been wanting to try this place for awhile & had a college friend coming into town so figured it would be a nice treat. We are so happy we finally went. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We each tried a different dish and everything tasted phenomenal. We saved room for dessert, german chocolate cake and apple strudel, yummy!!!
They have an outdoor patio which was great as you can see the water/boats. Inside looked very nice, lots of space.
Be sure to check out the cute Bristol shops and waterfront.
I cannot wait to go back!!!!
Awesome dining experience food, service and all was exceptional!!!!
Beer was good. My expectations were high as I lived in Germany for 3 years and love the food. Was obvious that much of the food was pre-made. Sausage platter brats had no taste at all. Sauerbraten was bland like maybe it had freezer burn and had no seasoning or flavor. Drastically over priced for the quality. Nice place though and the service was ok.
We love your restaurant! My husband always gets the delicious schnitzel. I ordered the sole piccata though was disappointed in presentation and quality.
I thought the meals were way over priced! I had sauerbraten and it was dry and not really that good
