Great spot for lively, adventurous dining! Excellent service (although the wait time for a table wasn't ideal--even with our reservation)
Would recommend for groups of 6 or less.

I love Redbird. They have great cocktails and the ambiance is incredible — it was built in an old church in DTLA. Each dish is unique and well prepared. For the gluten free eaters, they have special breads and are knowledgeable on how to make the menu fit for personal specifications.

I had been so looking forward to this restaurant with all the great reviews I heard but I was a bit disappointed in the food and the service was a bit slow. We also didn't get to set on the patio which seemed like much better ambiance.

This was our second visit to Redbird and it was even better than we remembered it -- and that memory was of a really terrific restaurant. The service was efficient, friendly, impeccable and helpful. It was restaurant week and they offered a three-course prix fixe menu for $49, which we opted for. Every course was excellent, innovative and very attractively served. We were going to the theater afterward, so we limited ourselves to wines by the glass. The sommelier made an excellent recommendation and we took it. We were so impressed we made another reservation for next week.

Snobby server. Poor description of wines on wine list. Minuscule servings. Unfriendly & unwelcoming staff. Not a good value for the price.

Beautiful restaurant adjacent to St. Vibiana's. Small portions - but the presentation is exquisite. The tables are close together - so conversations are not private. Cocktails are unique and yummy. I will absolutely go again!

Our first time, celebrating a special occasion. Service was great, attentive and friendly. All our dishes were great, starting from the foie gras, the squid ink bucatini, and finished off with the pork waddle dish.

Wish we would’ve been seated at an individual table for an intimate night.

I love this restaurant, but was disappointed this time because it wasn't open. Because of the heat, the roof was closed and there was a private party so the wall in the back was down. All understandable, but took away from what I like most. The halibut was amazing and so were the cocktails.

Nice place but it was warm due to heatwave. Our waitress was awesome and although the appetizers weren’t my thing, but the avocado salad and scallops made up for it. Would come back again!

Very low chairs compared to table height; pet peeve with so many restaurants. Bring a cushion. Server was not very helpful. I ordered a $100 steak for two and a side of potatoes but she didn't tell me the steak already came with potatoes. Study the menu closely, it's not easy to decipher. Drinks were fab. Very unique wine selection; good unusual stuff. The rest of the dishes were quite good. The room is beautiful and ambiance great but I expect more from a place where dinner for two and 5 drinks costs $300 plus tip.

My husband and I went for brunch on Sunday and it was delightful. The restaurant was pretty and the food was tasty. We were seated inside which was quiet, though I am not sure why we were seated inside as opposed to the patio. Nonetheless it was enjoyable.

We were very impressed with Redbird! Went here on a date, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 pastas and 1 main meat dish and it was MORE than enough. All delicious. And a cool ambiance.
My only complaint is that we were seated inside right by the waiter station - I couldn't help wishing we'd gotten seated in the courtyard, as it's much prettier out there and the vibe is better. Next time I'll definitely request that.

Overall I was disappointed. I was there two years ago and absolutely loved it. I was excited to come back and bring my family. Their service has gone WAY down hill. At first, the staff wouldn’t leave us alone. We had 4 people come ask us how we were doing within the first 5 minutes. They ask you order all the food at once. We ordered three courses and they brought courses two and three at the same time. The mistake was acknowledged and they comped the 2nd course (as they should). Our bill was over $600 and for that price I felt the service was majorly lacking. I won’t go back.

Annabelle says: very welcoming staff and superb service. Excellent liver Pate with a perfect match of salt and sweet colorful ingredients (nectarine, white powder herb). Scallops could not have been prepared better! Again wonderfully set on plate with some beige and peas for taste and color
High tech valet parking as you text readiness for car and response given
Terrific experience

Fantastic food !
We had a great waiter. Very knowledgeable and funny and nice.
We also had a great wine expert (I can't spell sommelier?) who helped us choose a wonderful wine.
I would go back again. LOVED it.

Six of us had a wonderful dinner at Redbird. We shared a number of appetizers, all of which were fabulous. For entrees we had pork, monkfish, lamb all delicious. Two of us had the noodles which were ok, not great. We loved the ambiance and most of the food. Only complaint was it took FOREVER to be offered a cocktail and then a long time to get them. Would definitely come back and make more noise initially about getting a drink.

We were celebrating our son’s engagement & they chose Redbird! Service started out amazing in the bar & when we were initially seated at 8pm. But then it literally fell off a cliff! We never saw our server(s) again & were begging for water, drinks and to clear the table. We brought personalized cupcakes to celebrate the engagement & were charged $60; which is understandable however, should have been disclosed when I spoke with the restaurant 4 times prior to the event AND when they asked to take my dessert! All around poor service but what else would you expect in LA?! I’m a native & am used to this but one of my guests commented that it’s one thing they love about NY - they know how to serve. We’ll be back because we love the food & ambiance but don’t expect good service!

Incredible atmosphere, incredible food, great service. We ordered a bunch of the smaller plates and then added on the ribeye at the last minute at the suggestion of our waiter. So glad we did, I've never tasted a better piece of meat, literally mouth watering. Not cheap at all but honestly that piece of meat was worth it and the portion was definitely meant for sharing. Changed my mind as to what a ribeye really is....if you ever get the chance order the ribeye you won't regret it.

This was our first visit to Redbird and it was an occasion to celebrate Father's Day. It's a bit pricey but the presentation and food was well worth it. We left satisfied. Both my husband and myself love a cocktail prior to dinner, we are not into the "handcrafted" cocktails, but rather classic drinks. If I had one complaint it would be the size of the "rock" in the cocktail glass. When ordering a drink "on the rocks" and the drink comes with one rock the size of an iceberg we found that to be deceiving and a turn off. However, my martini was perfect and delivered the way it was requested.
