Amazing bar area when you walk in. You can take a seat and a server will take a drink order while you wait for your table! Dining area is a very unique patio space. The food we had was packed with flavor and super rich. Wine selection was immaculate. Never felt unattended to, servers were easy to find. Could even pay with apple pay!

Another stellar night at Redbird. The food was excellent, the beverages were too, and, for the first time, I got to consult with Tobin Shea about a cocktail that was being brought back for the holidays.

The people at Redbird made an already special night truly memorable. We were running late and they reached out and held our table. And despite us coming at the end of the night, we were treated as if the night had just started. Delicious food, fantastic wine, beautiful space. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We are very sorry for getting there late - next time we will be on time.

I have now become an after-the-fact tester of cocktails I'm already familiar with, and the bar folk listen to what I have to say. This is fascinating. Dinner was as good as it has ever been - the hamachi crudo was excellent and the truffle cavatelli is one of your best dishes. I left happy.

What an amazing space! Redbird is so elegant, but cozy. The service was quite good. Friendly but not intrusive. The drinks were delicious and the food…everything we ate was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend.

We’ve been coming here for anniversary dinner for the past 5 years since we got married at the vibiana next door. redbird caters the food and we’ve been hooked ever since! The seasonal maple leaf and the woods cocktails are our favorites, this year we had beef tartare for appetizer, the steak, scallops and pork chop and it was delicious! for dessert we had some type of chocolate mousse with ice cream. Absolutely no complaints, the vibe is always right, service on point, and everyone is always friendly. 10/10 would recommend

The menu choices were quite unusual and delicious to taste. We were seated at a high table which was a little cramped for 10. The staff were very attentive and willing to resolve any issue, such as the bar staff's familiarity with cocktails off the menu. The only recommendation to make would be to consider more vegetarian main course options. Thank you for a delightful evening.

Wonderful service. Bread and salads were delicious and my party enjoyed all their dishes. Hosts were friendly and timing of dishes were well executed. Turbo and potatoes were good. Dessert offerings didn’t really connect. Cocktails /bar program pretty good. Would return.

Another excellent night at Redbird. Good cocktails, excellent wine. The chawanmushi was excellent and I especially liked the garnishes this time. The Scallops, well, no one does scallops the way Redbird does and the garnishes were just as wonderful.

This was my second time visiting Redbird for brunch. It is such a lovely place tucked away at the old Saint Vibiana rectory - feels very intimate, yet light and bright. The ricotta and blueberry pancakes are to die. Everything is really good and their service was friendly and perfect. Even the valet was extremely friendly. We recommended highly. We will definitely come back.

I had not been to Redbird since the pandemic, and the experience was excellent, I believe the food has actually improved from good to great. From the autumn Burrata salad to the perfectly cooked duck to the scallops with smoked eel, then perfectly spiced, shishito peppers and divine cheese rolls (pão de queixo), the food was exquisite. The service was terrific as we had to meet a short deadline because of nearby LA Phil tickets. The only glitch, and it is worth mentioning is the front desk had us in the wrong place. They had approved, moving us by text from the lounge to the main dining room several days before but I had to go through texts and prove it to the clueless hostess

It's a beautifully designed space but the food was terrible. I ordered the pasta with goat meat and it was very salty and greasy. No other flavors in the dish but salt. I couldn't eat it. My friend's pasta with rabbit meat was also extremely salty. The place is extremely overpriced for the quality of food being served there. Total waste of money.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Downtown, but no more. I was very disappointed in the food and I was shocked that they moved the corkage fee up to $50. I think that is ridiculous. But even that wouldn’t bother me if the food was up to par. I had the pear salad, the Parker house rolls and the lamb belly. The Parker house rolls were the only thing that was still really good. The salad was too sour, and not really interesting. The main problem was they way over used a very strong vinegar. The vinegar infused everything including the Burrata. My last dish was the lamb Belly and that was the dish that made me not want to go back. Again it was way too sour, so much so that the rich taste of the lamb was completely hidden. They served it on a yogurt base and then marinaded in something that made it sour and spicy. The few blueberries on the plate couldn’t compete with the heavy sour taste from the rest of the dish. The addition of a 5% fee for the kitchen and help finished off any thoughts I had of returning. Darn, because the space is really beautiful.

The duck confit is not traditional. It taste like taco with little shredded duck and a sunny side up egg. We were expecting some sort of French taste. It was a shocking surprise. The lobster congee was very good and special. The portion was quite small but taste was good.

The food is pretty good. The Kobe burger is on the small side. The branzino was pretty good, probably over seasoned and was the most boney fish we’ve had - making us question if it was actually branzino. It tasted good either way. The drinks were great. Best part of the meal were the cocktails. Nice ambiance and quiet enough to where you can easily have a conversation over lunch.

Wow, what can we say? First of all, Redbird is located in the former rectory building of Vibiana (a former Cathedral turned event venue). there are several event spaces in Vibiana. There's a lounge, and the main dining space is actually open-air with canopies to cover the space should it rain. There is also an out door garden patio space for private events. We've wanted to visit for awhile on our trips to LA and it was worth the wait. We had the parker rolls, spicy shisito peppers, the Ora king salmon which came with flageolet beans, sun-gold tomatoes, summer squash, basil, and the barbecue smoked tofu accompanied with fried wild rice, mustard greens, togarashi, shiitake xo. This all went well with a couple glasses of white wine and a couple old fashions. Not very noisy and a great date night spot.

I’ve never thought of congee as breakfast food, but the blend of lobster, polenta-style rice, herbs, and spices was perfect. That my wife’s meal of French toast was equally inventive and delicious shows how Redbird can offer a variety of exquisite foods for its Sunday brunch. And the setting in the redesigned cathedral just adds to the uniquely charming ambience of this LA gem.

Great service ! Blueberry pancakes were sensational. Vietnamese coffee drink and short rib hash were very good. Buttermilk biscuits could have been fluffier and salad plate was small and lackluster. Great energy in the light filled room , but booths are pretty uncomfortable. Would prefer tables that are a bit further apart, which I believe you used to have . Valet is taking very convenient. Will come back .

we had resos at 630 - we show up and the dining room was 'committed' would we care to sit in the bar area? begrudgingly we took the table in the bar area - and it was loud. based on the recommendation of our server we got the turbot - for lack of a better term is was....disgusting. it was not a flaky white fish, as we were told. it was oily, slimy, huge bones and tasteless. we told our server and she was very apologetic and offered to get us anything else - what did we want? we got a few sides, but by this time we were done. we would not recommend nor will we return.

Dane was great- ambiance was really nice. The new york strip was delicious- my boy got the duck and said it was good. Beef Tartare was also pretty yummy. Thanks for having us.
