The food was extraordinarily flavorful and memorable. Perfect place for a bday dinner
Excellent, innovative menu—both foods and drinks. Beautiful historic building.
I enjoyed dinner at Redbird the same week when Dine LA was happening. I didn't plan it but ended up going with the dine LA menu and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent and so was the food. I am curious to see how their outside dining would look like because the interior was beautiful.
We had requested a quiet table, but ours was NOT quiet. It is a noisy restaurant, chilly, outdoors seating.
The food is definitely overpriced and my first course was much spicier than I expected. The main of
scallops were very well prepared, but slow service over all. Waitstaff were fine.
We do not plan on going there again.
The service was remarkable, very attentive. Food was good and unique.
As for everywhere in LA, tables are super close together so be ready to have conversation with person next to you. If you're lucky they will be fabulous! Food is amazing! We've been wanting to try and were so excited they were part of Dine LA! Can't wait to try regular menu.
Everything about Redbird was perfection! Food, service, ambiance, menu... outstanding!
Beautiful historic building and the restaurant setting is lovely. Our food and service were exceptional. We'll go back.
I had the DineLA tasting menu. The lobster chawanmushi was novel and delicious. The service was warm and attentive. I would definitely return here in the future. I think the place would be amazing for Sunday brunch.
We ordered the dineLA set courses. The cocktail was exceptional, food had the right flavor but OMG everything was sooooooo heavily seasoned. The beef carpaccio was drenched in that Thai peanut sauce to a point where I can’t tell it’s beef if I had my eye closed. The cavatelli has such a salty creamy sauces, the extra black truffle I ordered on top lost all its aroma. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shank, and the risotto on the bottom was so salty that he couldn’t finish it. Flavors were good but everything was way too salty
Loved the tour of the space and the garden after dinner!
Food and ambiance was amazing. Our server and service team was spot on and felt pampered the entire time. My family came for DineLA and I thought the menu had a good sampling and a great representation of the restaurant. I was little surprised by the supplementary pricing on top of the DineLA pre fixe menu but after tasting our first course, I could definitely see why. Everything was spot on I would definitely come back.
We so enjoyed RedBird during DineLA. The bar has something for everyone. The menu offered a variety of the best dishes and our server made excellent recommendations for each course. The staff was attentive and the decor is stunning. I will return.
I dare you to find a prettier room, better food and better service all in one place.
I enjoyed my visit to Redbird. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was very good. The energy was very welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful first-time experience.
Food and service was excellent as usual. Very energetic and noisy crowd that was was louder than usual. Maybe because it was after the Women's March in Downtown LA.
This may be my new favorite LA restaurant. Everything was great. The waitress was perfect, the food was incredible, and the drinks were divine. It's not cheap, but it's well worth it for an awesome night out. We weren't rushed at all and the food came out only after we were done with the previous course. This place nails it.
Disappointing I have been wanting to try it for years. Wished I skipped it so many better places in I try downtown. Food was average.
Lovely courtyard dining space...Fantastic server, perfect ricotta blueberry pancakes/syrup, sausages, beet salad, lobster pasta and excellent coffee...The whole experience was kinda perfect and we'll be back as often as possible! Thanks!
Great food. Attentive service. Price on the higher end for food portions.
Every dish was delicious and surprising! Shishito peppers, burrata, shrimp risotto, John Dory, beignets and chai blondie! We were greeted with an amuse bouche cocktail that was refreshing! We went before a show at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. It was LA Restaurant week too. Server kept track of the timing so we could leave on time.
Fantastic service, brought us a welcome glass of rose for our anniversary and candle in our dessert. Very accommodating!
This is the second time that I have been to Redbird where some of my dinner companions were unable to eat some of their food because was too heavily salted. The wine list is fun, the space is gorgeous and the service is impeccable, but the inconsistency in the kitchen is problematic. All that said, I'm not sure if I will be returning again, particularly considering the high prices.
Too loud and the tables are too close to each other for the money they charge. The food was also good but nothing special.
Had a wonderful anniversary brunch with my wife. The food and cocktails were impeccable. The ambiance and service was amazing. This was our second time for brunch and we have been once before for dinner. We will definitely be back for both.
This is a beautiful restaurant, I didn't expect it to have a huge interior courtyard open to the sky. Really nice. The food was very good and the service was great too. I would definitely go to eat there again.
It was a cold night and the inside tables were cold and drafty. Uncomfortable. The outside tables had great heaters but also had a breeze. Inside drafts need to be fixed. Food and service were very good to excellent. Expensive.
All around amazing. Amazing food and drinks. Amazing service.
Go if the ambience and location is important, if food and bang for buck is involved, avoid ^^;;
We celebrated my 30th birthday with a group of 11. The staff was amazing, very attentive and helpful. They made sure all food came out at the same time so no one was left waiting which we were very impressed by. The food and cocktails were all delicious, and the venue itself was gorgeous. Can’t wait to come back!
We loved coming here for the first time, but of all the dining experiences we have had in LA (and there have been many) we were a little disappointed by the "special" factor of the evening. We brought our own wine and the corkage is very fair. My only gripe is our wine disappeared and we had to request it 5 times (not to be annoying, but when you are celebrating and bring a very nice $150 bottle of wine for the occasion, you would hope they'd 1. have it waiting for you at the table, and 2. at least offer to decant it... we got the bottle opened, poured and that was it. We were on our own to serve ourselves the rest of the evening.) I guess they don't want you bringing your own wine, no matter how special it may be. I even had to ask for my wine carrier back at the end of our dinner. So weird. I have brought wine with us to MANY other 5 star restaurants throughout the city, I have never ever had this treatment before.
Another gripe, we were served someone else's food. While it looked amazing, we told the server it was not ours and after it was set at our table, he picked it up and took it to another table. Now, I don't work for the I have worked in restaurants and I know, once the food is placed on the table, you do not serve it to another table. Never. Never ever. You just don't do it. So, for this reason, I'll never come back. Our waiter was really nice, offered great recommendations, however- the rest of the staff have a "More righteous than thou" air about them and I simply cannot justify spending $100+ a person on dinner and being treated this way. Save your money and go to the hundreds of other restaurants in LA that are more deserving of your patronage. Clearly RedBird isn't going to be sorry to see us take our wine and go...
Reliably good and lovely restaurant. Excellent staff.
