Great food. Great experience. Sat at the bar. Bartending staff was amazing. My husband and I frequent many restaurants and bars in DTLA and by far the bartenders at Redbird were knowledgeable, while not pretentious; were engaging & fun and made our brunch enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back - this time for happy hour as recommended by the staff.
Bridal shower & Easter Sunday brunch
Dishes seemed overworked... saucy and over indulgent with not much finesse. Excellent considerate service and wonderful ambience.
Everything was delicious down to the french press coffee! Haven’t been there fir dinner yet but brunch was spectacular!
The congee is amazing, the chicken & waffles looked and smelled great. The waitstaff was generous and helpful. The ambiance was great.
Beautiful environment. Waiter seemed a bit put out but food was great!
Delicious, creative food in a historic space that has been updated beautifully. Excellent service. Not as noisy as most restaurants.
We had a great server who was able to handle a party of 7 who had come to LA for a business meeting. The server explained the food well and communicated with us of all the ingredients too. The food was great, cooked well and t. The only issue was the noise level which is understandable considering the open-air layout of the restaurant.
Thank you for hosting us and our party on the 18th. We hope to be back and try out some more food.
Food was great, service was great, Ambience was great, even the valet up front was super convenient.....the only complaint is that the seats were Way too close to eachother..other than that, we will definitely be going back.
The food was great as well as the service. The space is fantastic! Wonderful indoor outdoor feeling and tastefully designed.
Just a little on the pricey side so it’s not for a cheap date.
Food atmosphere the room all exquisite. Prices too high but in line with comparable places except this one is much prettier. Wine was really excellent too.
Outstanding, superior food with excellent service. Always a go to for a special dinner or just a great night out.
Really good experience. Food and service were outstanding. We did have the fire alarm going off for 10 minutes or so, but it got worked out.
I appreciated the open ceiling to the outdoors in the main eating area. The food taste and presentations were exceptional. Very eloquent place for a romantic date and after meal drinks!
Exceptional service and food is state of art. Jose was superb and helped in selections. Posted pics of food on Instagram and Facebook but could not seem to tag Red Bird. Only the rectory came up. Should get that fixed
My go to place for the one dinner I have in LA when I am there on business.
Redbirds has s lovely ambience. And the service is top notch. What isn’t top notch is the pork Wattle. I had it once when it was delicious, but the last two times ordering it I was given a slab of fat where finding the meat was indeed tricky. The wait staff comped it but that it was served that way is not a sign of good quality. The octopus was delicious and the salad was too. For those reasons I’d think of going back again, but I wouldn’t order the pork wattle.
This was my first time at Redbird. From the beginning to the very end, our service was spectacular. Each and every employee was outstanding. Matt was our server and he explained how the chef could make our entrees vegan. Very delicious and amazing.
Really enjoyed the restaurant. Very fun venue and great food. Not your typical brunch.
Best place in LA! Events, small dinners, big dinners, etc. Location is beautiful and the staff is perfect. Amy and Neal Fraser will be known and remembered for Redbird for years to come.
The dining experience was excellent. I'd prefer a wider variety of options on the menu, but that said, I rate Redbird as a one of DTLA's top choices. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and the atmo is superb!
Awesome dining! Get service and patio sitting added a great touch.
Excellent! The cinnamon bun was perfect! Crisp on the outside light on the inside. We had the grits which I am not usually a fan of but these were delicious. We ordered several dishes and all were YUMMY!
Had reservation for my birthday dinner with my husband and was incredibly underwhelmed. The food was mediocre at best and if I were to ever come here again I would sit at the bar and enjoy the ambiance which was one of the few positives here.
Based off past reviews and recommendations, we ordered the chicken pot pie for appetizer and it was good. Was rich and tasty. For entrees, my husband ordered the lamb belly and I the risotto. Risotto was pretty salty but overall okay and my husband felt the same about the lamb belly.
A positive was the sommelier who recommended this amazing Chardonnay to our liking and schooled us on wine! We are still talking about the wine and where we could find it.
The incredibly underwhelming part was when my husband said "some birthday cake would be good" and our waiter Shawn said that you have to purchase a dessert and he would stick a candle on it. Coooooooool. We literally saw everyone in the place get the same exact birthday candle dessert and when it was our turn Shawn says that there isn't anymore. In my years of life I hadn't heard this before.
I wouldn't waste my breath coming here. There are far better places that have better food for your buck than here considering it's 3$ signs. There's nothing to write home about other than the wine the sommelier recommended.
Overpriced overrated don’t bother
It’s always a good time at Redbird. My husband always remarks that he’s surprised Redbird doesn’t have a Michelin Star
Great happy hour before heading to Dorothy Chandler for a performance!
Dinner before the ballet
Redbird consistently offers a unique and outstanding dining experience. The mixologist and the chef are gifted. Every dish has a special touch. The service is impeccable. .
Lovely setting and atmosphere, great service. Some items on the menu were great, some were average. Portion sizes are relatively small and on the pricey side.
Very slow service. My risotto tasted like microwaved from frozen, and I’m not even fancy!
Try the drink call Rose Colored Glasses. Not on the menu, but it was incredible!
I tried two different red wines that were just ok and not full bodied. Excellent professional service. Luxurious atmosphere. Delicious scallops. The food was a bit overpriced but the service and ambience made up for it.
It was awesome.
Food was disappointing. Salty and over priced. We won’t be back. The service and ambiance were good but not enough to make up for the food.
Favorite place over and over again! We love going to Redbird for brunch, dinner or sometimes just drinks. The full menu is delicious and advantageous to time-well-spent.
This place was recommended by a friend and I must thank her. The food was good and I’ll go again. Also I’ll send some of my friends here!
I have been for brunch many times. This is the first time that I was disappointed with my meal. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles with a side of scrambled eggs. The waffle and eggs were very good.
The fried chicken was awful! It was a fried chicken cutlet that was over-fried. With every slice the crust fell apart and separated from the meat. When I finished, the plate was full of dark brown crust. Do yourself a favor and avoid the chicken. With so many places that cook fried chicken well, I was surprised that Redbird was subpar.
Service was very slow. The entrees took too long to deliver. However the server was professional. Offered free dessert. It was something at least
Some of the food was decent. Most of it mediocre. Decor is lovely. Overpriced. The cocktails were not very good. I cannot understand why this place has so many good reviews. Would not go back.
