We had such an amazing dining experience at Redbird for dinner on our last night in LA. Our server Matthew was excellent. Food was impeccable. Atmosphere was engaging and beautiful yet comfortable, lending itself to good conversation and an all around excellent dining experience. Would recommend to anyone living in or visiting the LA area.

We’ve been here before, one of our sisters favorite places to eat, she passed 14mos ago, so it was nice to be there reminiscing her love of food.

Overall great experience, originally, we were to have 11, but last minute, a few dropped out, and you were able to accommodate/ reset the table. Staff was kind and helpful.

Food was spectacular, as always. And of course the drinks too.

Thank you for everything.

I went with a group of six of us and we ordered many of the dishes on the menu. The Brussel sprouts are a little spicy and nicely charred. The geminelli (goat) is also a little spicy. The rest of the dishes we tried were not. We had the chicken pot pie, based on Jonathan Gold's recommendation. It is a little small to share, but we managed. We also tried the scallops, sea bass, duck, avocado salad, barbeque tofu, all of which were yummy. Not one dish was a miss.

A lovely location, with attentive service. First courses were OK, but both our main courses were so heavily over-salted, and so poorly cooked as to be the opposite of enjoyable

Redbird is just as good as it gets when it comes to great food and location in LA. Service including host was impeccable. Wine recommendation was fantastic and the food (venison & wild boar) simply perfect.

For the first time we sat in the bar area for dinner. It was quite lovely, much better than I imagined it would be. The food is always delicious and staff provides stellar service. A real treat!

The food must not be the reason Redbird has managed to stay in business. It is not good even if it cost one third as much. We sent back mushy risotto, a tasteless sample plate of pork and grossly rare venison. The only good dish was the scallops.

HOWEVER, the service was beyond excellent. The assistant general manager (Gustavo) attended to us the moment the first dish was sent back and continued with us the rest of our 3-hour stay. Our server and everyone else was efficient and cordial.

An evening meal at Redbird is like looking at the world through rose-colored glasses. Wait-staff in pale pink shirts, deep pink upholstery, a complimentary pink aperitif made with rosé, and all of it aglow in the candlelight reflected off the tent-like ceiling. But don't think frilly and feminine--there's a masculine vibe here too with the oversized bar stools, dark wood, and tall plants reaching to the ceiling. The hamachi appetizer was fresh, full of flavor, and topped with something crunchy and delicious. The lobster risotto had me wondering if I could make that lemon foam at home. Year of the pig is just about the most masculine thing I've ever seen on a plate, and the duck was rich and buttery. My date and I shared the kitkat dessert, and I was a little underwhelmed with it. Or maybe I was just full. Redbird is perfect for any time you want to feel and look gorgeous and have a very memorable meal.

Nice restaurant! The wine is really good, especially for those who cannot drink too much! The amount of food is really large so if you come here by yourself don’t order too much (the waiter will give you advice tho!), the waitress is really kind and helpful, and all the dishes are delicious!! Will come next time :)

I love this place for brunch. The noise level in this place is heaven. One of the few LA restaurants where you can actually hear the person you're eating with. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the food and cocktails are great.

The food was excellent, in particular we lived the pork chop and the sea bass. We have a person in our group that has many allergies and has to be very careful with what she can eat. The wait staff & kitchen took tremendous care of her needs. It is a beautiful restaurant and we truly enjoyed the evening.

My husband has been to Red Bird many times before for work lunch meetings, and it was my first time there. I was very impressed with the restaurant set up and service. I was most satisfied with the quality of the food. My entree of seared hare was phenomenal. Will definitely return.

Redbird was fantastic! It's a beautiful space. We were seated on time. Each member of our party had a different cocktail and all tasted great. All of dishes, from small plates to main courses were tasty and perfectly prepared. Our server was knowledgeable and patient as we enjoyed a family gathering for a birthday. Simply a nice evening out.

We found the help to be less than friendly, a bit curt and arrogant. The very expensive food was uneven. They had only 2 choices for a salad and neither were actually a vegetable salad. Some food was very tasty like the mushroom pasta and some was bland as the pot pie, even some offensive like the pork. The desert was very tiny.

We went to Redbird to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and it was an amazing experience. The service was perfect, and the food was even better. The menu is divided in four groups. The first one is small dishes, meaning you should order roughly two dishes per person and share. That is what we did and it was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to going there again.

Had a great Valentines dinner. The service was good and the food we ordered was exceptional. We had the hamachi crudo and the chicken pot pie to start. The Cavatelli was really tasty/savory! Then finally the rack of red wattle pork. So flavorful and tender over polenta. I would definitely come back again.

The bartenders are great! However, when we got seated, our server wanted very little to do with us and brushed us off like we were inconveniencing him. We rarely saw him and had trouble ordering drinks. We went for Valentines Day which was a ‘pre-fixed menu’ unfortunately that was only for a few selected dishes. If you wanted other dishes listed on the prefix menu it would cost $10-$20 more than the original $125.00. A person. It felt more like an entrance fee than a prefix menu price listed. We spent $400 for oversalted food, an absent server and overall disappointment. I had high expectations and was incredibly let down. I’d go back for the bartenders thought. Good guys. Red bird- please tell your servers that it doesn’t cost anything to be kind and pleasant to your customers. We gladly return the kindness.
