   The food was good, not great. For the price, I expected better. It was the main dishes. Steaks and short rib were good but not great. The sides and appetizers were very good. Wine selection was great. Service was very good. It was convenient as a hotel guest and the decor was very interesting.

   Absolutely amazing meal! I had the scallops and risotto and my husband had the fish special which was Alaskan Halibut. Everything about the meal was spectacular and flavorful with a beautiful presentation. Also had a wonderful experience with Kent in the bar. Best old fashioned ever!

   Calamari was amazing. The salad and Old Fashioned was also great. Our server Andrea was great and attentive. The ambiance was nice and cozy and great for a date night or girls night. It took awhile for our steaks to come and when they did they were over cooked and cold. Austin the manager came over and talked to us and was very apologetic for the under whelming experience. Based on my interaction with him alone-I will come back! That was some great customer service!!

    Wonderful service by Elena, our server, and the food and menu were excellent. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts, and Bison. It was a special birthday for a family member and the celebration was fantastic. We will return soon. A special thanks to Alex for finding a quiet booth for us .

    It was the best experience in quite a while. The flavor of the meat, the Merlot wine and Bryan's attention was excellent. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a candle on the chocolate cake. from the hosts to the server and the runner. All excellent and cordial. WE WILL BE BACK. THANK YOU🫶

    Not sure what happened to the food here. Just awful. Staff is great, space is gorgeous, what wouldn’t the food be the same? 3 times visiting is not a charm. Drinks were good. Salty and weird. You can do it, step it up!

    We eat at the Red Stage Grill every time we are in Asheville. It has always been excellent until last night. The menu seemed more limited, the scallops and short ribs were over salted. Not as much creativity as before. Also there was absolutely no mention of any alternative dish such as Gluten Free, vegan, non dairy or and other health forward dishes. My daughter has severe food allergies. The only dish she could order was scallops because is the only dish she could eat because it didn’t contain any gluten or dairy. Probably won’t try it again any time soon.

    Incredible experience! I celebrated my 30th birthday at The Red Stag last night and was blown away by the food, service, and especially the ambiance. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Asheville.

    My friends and I enjoyed the Prime Rib, the Salmon, Ribs, and Scallops plus two appetizers. All was fantastic. Looking forward to eating here again

    Late Christmas get together. Ryan gave great service All staff friendly. Calamari good. Weird to see the Filet Mignon on plate without anything. $44 and no garnish? It was cooked perfectly. Duck breast was fine but nothing special. He would never order it again. Scallops cooked nicely. Had no idea I would only get 4. We really like this place. We know it is incredibly expensive and everything is ala carte. Like the more you pay, the less you get. The valet parkers were so nice and personable!

    We were staying at the Grand Bohemian for our 15th wedding anniversary & very much enjoyed the Red Stag! Butter/bread board delish. Cocktails all excellent. We ordered both of the elk main course dishes, fantastic and sizeBle portions. The only things we did not enjoy were: the Caesar salad as it was more of a vinegar dressing vs a true Caesar dressing and their truffle fries were a sad mess of dried fries.

    Tons of rustic charm. We really enjoyed our entrees: vegetarian breakfast burrito, the dog (forgetting the name), and the caesar salad. Great venu for a calm brunch

    Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Bartender was not having a good day. Needed some help. We waited over 20 minutes for 4 drinks and it was not packed at the time.

    We had New Year's Day brunch at Red Stag Grill. Our service was Perfect. The food was Perfect. The ambiance was great. We had small, cute children next to us, so the noise level was elevated a bit. My husband got the Classic Eggs Benedict which was wonderful. The eggs were poached just right, which is to say, runny center, and a bit of uncooked white as well. But that's how poached eggs are supposed to be. I'm sure the chef would accommodate a more "done" egg. I got the avocado toast. It, too, was really tasty. I will say that if you have a big appetite, it will not be enough to satisfy you. The valet parking worked out really well. The valets were friendly and fast. We will go more often now that we know how good it is.
