Everything was perfect! We celebrated my sister’s birthday and it couldn’t have been better. Food, service, cleanliness, ambiance was everything we hoped for. Looking forward to returning!
Was a wonderful meal with spectacular service and great atmosphere. I would recommend this place highly for a special occasion or just an every day meal
The Red Stag Grill at The Grand Bohemian Hotel is a 5 star dining experience in all aspects and a must go to when visiting Asheville or as residents of this wonderful city. You will not be disappointed!
Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere! We thoroughly enjoyed every single aspect our dining experience & we will be back!
A special dining menu fitting the atmosphere. Brandon was great and say hi to Fritz.
Excellent food, service and ambiance.
Have eaten there before and will go back again.
Excellent service and food. The atmosphere is very nice.
Fits nicely with the rest of the hotel vibe. Food was good as was the service. As with most hotel restaurants, a bit pricey.
We barely saw our waitress. She didn't come much to check on us. Food took long to come out as well
Great place for a special occasion dinner. Food is great and you are not rushed.
The atmosphere was amazing and the service was great too. Perfect place for an intimate date with your special someone.
Overpriced and very small portions. The bison was disappointing. However the chocolate lava cake left us with a smile. Waitress was very good.
The Bohemian Hotel is a must see in Asheville. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast we had. Our wait staff was excellent.
The food was prepared perfectly. Service was excellent and the ambiance delightful. Felt as though we were dining in Bavaria.
Food and atmosphere great
We ordered the special - steak with mac & cheese. After a long wait, we received the steak, but had already finished eating it when the mac & cheese arrived. The server apologized, but made not offer of compensation. We asked to speak to the manager, who gave us a small discount on our bill. I don't think we'll be going back here.
We loved absolutely everything we ate. Portions are big enough to be full from your entree. You will not be disappointed.
Excellent place to eat. Only complaint is some of the table are really close to other guests and you feel like you in a group setting. That takes away from the ambiance of a romantic dinner.
Red Stag treated us so well for our first anniversary. We appreciate the hospitality and will definitely be back!
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. She was treated like royalty and had such a good experience that she wants to make it an annual birthday event.
The quality of the food was poor and does not meet the expectations of such a location
Great service by Tomas at our table. Food was okay - but disappointing. 2 had the snapper special both of which were over cooked, other entrees were said to be again okay. Food clearly not up to what we all had come to expect from Red Stag, in no hurry to return.
Excellent bartender! He was knowledgeable and fun to chat with. He even told us about smoke ice! Table attendant was equally great! He was attentive, helpful and very courteous!
Excellent overall experience. Table for 2 was a little wide for easy conversation. Being a little close to the bar was a little noisy. Otherwise every was great!
Ambiance was beautiful. Food was even better. Had a great anniversary there.
This is our third time staying at Kessler Bohemian Asheville and while we typically avoid hotel restaurants we always look forward to dining at Red Stag. The ambiance is amazing and the food is even better. We love the unique dishes and they pair well with the restaurant and hotel space!
Great waiter! Brian was on top of it. Food was amazing!
Service was slow but it was just our waiter. Other tables were being served and attended to quicker. Food was great!
Excellent night. Food and service were outstanding. Glad we chose to dine there.
We are locals and love coming here. The ambiance cannot be beat. Loved our food and service is top notch. Will for sure be back.
Service was inattentive. Server did not try to notice when we needed something. Took order from one of us for dessert but failed to wait for the others who wised to order. Brought the one dessert with four forks but no plates. Took too long to get server’s attention to pickup payment.
Ambiance and service was excellent!
It was a little loud and the tables are a little too long, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Food was excellent though and drinks were great. Service could have been a little better though. Will definitely go back.
The hostess had strong scented candles on her work station. They had no french champange and the special was surf and turf. The lobster tail was FRIED....Red Lobster quality...No mushrooms on the menu and the only potatoes offered were red skinned mashed...no baked or augratin. Never again...such a poor quailty meal
The service was really poor. We sat for 15-20 minutes without being waited on and drinks were not correct.
Great as always. Thank you Mr. Kessler for an amazing dining experience!!

Wow, really disappointed. We had a party of seven ages 12-46 and I made reservations about a month in advance. It happened to be 2/14, but we were just out for dinner with guests visiting from out of town, not a Valentine's celebration. I spoke with someone at that restaurant four times prior to our dinner-once to confirm (they called me) and three times to see if anything earlier had opened up. Not once did they inform me they were only serving a prix fix menu for $100/person.
But fine, it was late and we were seven hungry people without really another option at 9pm so I couldn't really walk. The problem was that the food was not good, not even close. It basically felt like a seated buffet with stale overcooked meat. This was everyone's experience including elk, salmon, and both steak offerings.
Maybe its just me, but I feel that spending $1000 should get me a decent meal.
It was an absolute embarrassment to come here on Valentine’s Day! We placed our reservations on OpenTable a month before Valentine’s Day they had a very specific four course menu for $99 a person. Sweet, we were looking forward to an exquisite meal! I ordered the ribeye and I would’ve gotten a better steak at waffle house! My $100 a ribeye was less than a quarter inch thick! I’ve never even seen a ribeye that paper thin in my life! I wouldn’t have paid $10 for that steak and I’m sure they didn’t pay that much from their supplier either. This place is a rip off and I wish I had of taken a picture to show you! By the time our meal was all over and we paid $250, my husband was furious and our date was ruined. Honestly, should have walked out when that plate was sat down on our table!
Valentine Dinner...they made it very special!
We were forced to order off a fixed menu without being told that at the time we booked the reservation. The tip was included on the check bringing the total check to $269, that included only one glass of wine. The meal was mediocre at best. The salmon was not bad but the other courses were run of the mill. Salmon was literally dropped off without checking to see if we needed anything. It was delivered without a fork so we could not eat for several minutes while we flagged down a waitress. The shellfish medley that came as an appetizer was soaked in mayo which ruined the flavor of the seafood. I highly recommend avoiding this place. The hotel it is located in, Grand Bohemian, is just horrible on almost every level. Much better restaurants and hotels to spend your money on in Asheville.
