RED SKY Tapas & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We did a double date night for the dueling pianos. Arrived early to eat and chat prior to the music. The food was excellent and the pianos were very entertaining and funny. Highly recommended.
One of the owners visited our table and asked how things were going and chatted us up. Very appreciated.
The four of us were very impressed with the overall food quality and service, but there were a couple of menu items that were a bit lackluster the blackened ahi tuna was bland and not memorable and the fried green tomatoes were not cooked all the way. Everything else was excellent from the cocktails down to the dessert. Super stars were the lobster corn dip, the bacon wrapped dates, Buffalo calamari and the barbecue ribs. For dessert the flan was amazing and the tres leches cake was to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try several different things in one meal and the more friends you bring the better.
SERVICE IS A LITTLE SLOW, AND OUR WAITER NEVER WROTE DOWN OUR ORDERS, SO OUR FOOD WAS WRONG QUITE A BIT. THERE WAS 11 IN OUR PARTY. THAT IS A SERVER ERROR, NOT NECESSARILY A RESTAURANT ERROR. THE SATURDAY NIGHT VIBE, IS AS ALWAYS, THE MOST FUN! WE HAVE GONE A FEW TIMES, AND WILL CONTINUE TO GO. BEST DATE NIGHT SPOT IN THE AREA. VERY ADULT. REFRESHING.
This is the third straight year that we have celebrated my birthday here and it certainly won't be the last! The service was fantastic, as was the food and drink. The dueling pianos from Mike and Marty kept us entertained and singing along all night. The only complaint was they could have played longer!!!! Thank you again for a wonderful night!
I would absolutely recommend Red Sky Tapas! Food was great. The dueling pianos act was awesome! The guys put on a very good show!
We had a table for 4 but there were bigger groups as well. We went on a night where there was very good audience participation. Fun night!
While the food was amazing at Red Sky, the service was horrible. We had two servers assigned to us, and one of the two showed up only twice, and didn't speak a single word. She placed our drink order on the corner of the table, and promptly turned and walked away. The server who did show up, didn't do a great job of staying on top of what we needed, leaving us for long periods without drinks, and having entire plates of food not show up. In addition, he dropped a cup full of ranch off of our table, spraying someone's leg, shoe, and the table. He came back and wiped the floor, but never even apologized for the blunder. With a 20% gratuity automatically added to our check, because of the size of our group, it was clear that neither of these two were going to work very hard for us. Will come back for the food, but service needs to be stepped up!
What can I say, this place is just fun!! The service is fantastic, the food is wonderful, and the dueling pianos make for a fun evening. My girlfriend came in from out of town and we made a reservation around 7:30 to eat and catch-up, then enjoyed the rest of the night singing along to the piano players fun performance. Just an FYI, once the piano's start it's loud (not conducive to conversation) and the show is not PG, they can be fairly crude with comments and profane words.
We LOVE Red Sky. It was my birthday/date night. Food is always awesome. Jerk Chicken Wings were perfect and drinks are always on point. They do a wonderful job and the crowd is always fun! Dueling Pianos NEVER dissapoint! Marshall and Mark are real and so much fun!
My friend and I went out to celebrate the night before my birthday. The food was AMAZING! It was suprisingly not very crowded but it was a Thursday night. They had a $5 martini menu! The food was out of this world and I loved the options available. The only downside was the music was a bit too loud but perhaps it's because we were seated in close proximity.
Everything was great about our evening except for the service. Coming from the service industry, we were very disappointed. Our sever rarely checked on us, we constantly had to get up to get someone to help us, we watched our drinks sit at the bar several times, our plates were never cleared.
A dueling piano bar near where I grew up (Phoenix area) closed down and I was heartbroken. I used to love going there and it is where my wife and I really started making a connection before we started dating. Ever since moving to the Atlanta area I have really wanted to see if anything here was up to scratch, and so I took my wife to Red Sky for a date night. Let me tell you: I was NOT disappointed. The live dueling pianos were great, both as entertainers and as musicians. The food was also awesome, so 10/10 will be coming back the next time we can find a sitter for our kids!
Despite the fact that we are ALWAYS seated in the back in a corner, despite asking to sit in the front where the music and activity is, the service and food are both consistently good and reasonably priced for small plates. Perfect volume of food for healthy eating! So - I'd definitely recommend.
