My husband & I shared an appetizer & the burger and had 2 mai tais for $150. I feel so ripped off. The burger alone was $60 and we figured it must be damn good wagyu for that price... yeah, no. It was so bland tasting, lacked flavor and I've had better burgers in LA for less than half that price. I feel robbed.

Had a great time at Red Salt last night, food was amazing, service amazing and perfect way to celebrate. We had requested Jo Val b/c I have had her in the past and she always took good care of us but she wasn't working and Miranda ended up being our server and she did a superb job and helped us make the right choice for food and drinks. All in all great time, can't wait to go again.

This was my 6th dinner here and it's unfortunate that the quality has gone down. We celebrated a 50th birthday as well as a wedding anniversary and I just was not the experience we had when we celebrated the same birthday (46) and anniversary (1st). It's too bad. All earlier experiences were spectacular and the staff made the night memorable.

Food was probably the best of all fine dining experiences on the south side of the island. Drinks were balanced and not too heavy but also not just watered down glasses of sugar. Highly recommend chef’s tasting menu & table side martinis

Service was excellent. Food was quite good. Lamb chops, scallops and mahi excellent. Mahi was moist and flavorful. Enjoyed the lobster risotto. Portions on the small side. Pricey for the ambiance. Ambience was the big negative. Entrance was dirty (carpet) and unkempt. Too noisy and felt like a cafeteria.

Our waiter completely ignored us. Very poor service. I believe he was new, as I dine here often and have never seen him before. It was a big disappointment, because generally the service is excellent, the wait staff professional and friendly.

All of the dishes were perfectly cooked and extremely good. We had the scallop app, mongchong main, and flourless chocolate torte. The service was top-notch, although the verbal description of every course was a bit much for us. We will add this to our list of restaurants for future visits.

Enjoyed a great meal here in 2021. Food and service then were outstanding. Last night’s food was rather bland and visually unappealing. Desert was bland and tasteless. Hostess was very pleasant and welcoming. Asking if we were celebrating any special occasion. Waiter was pleasant but not particularly friendly. Pricey but would consider returning if food was as good as previous visit. Doubt we’ll go back.

We arrived at Koa Kea after a long day of travel and had reservations at Red Salt after. The service was slower than we would have liked but the waiter was amicable. For food, we started with the mahi bruschetta which was simple and a good starter. For the main course, my wife had the lobster risotto which was incredible. I had the mahi dish which was a bit dry but good overall.

Food and service were fantastic! Our son loved the steak. Mahi was the best prepared I have ever tasted. Restaurant was loud, though. It appears geared toward couples, not families. Our server, Dustin, was very attentive. Entrees were extremely expensive, even for Kauai.

Unfortunately, did not love our experience at Red Salt. Whenever we dined here (breakfast included) it felt like they constantly were trying to get us to order more food or more expensive food. At dinner, we were upsold on a Wagyu steak entree that was not tender and the sides were under-seasoned and cost nearly twice of what we were originally planning to order. We also ordered an entree without realizing it was fish. After we received it, we looked it up and found it has high mercury content and since I am pregnant, did not want to take that risk. We immediately informed our server and ordered something else, but were ultimately still charged for it. While we fully recognize it was our mistake, it left a bad taste in our mouth considering we had stayed an entire week in the hotel and it was the last night of our vacation. Brussel sprouts were fine, kale salad also fine, but not worth the absurdly high price tag.

The service was polite but extremely slow. The restaurant was air conditioned to a cold level and very dark. I and many others took out and used the flashlights on our phones to read the menu. The mahi mahi entree was very good. The salad was poor and for $19, a major disappointment. I had indicated that this was a special occasion (an anniversary) which scored us a table furthest from the window and next to the kitchen. They only have valet parking. Overall it was not worth anywhere near the money. Go to Merriman's or Beach House if in the area.

Raven was our waiter and they were absolutely fantastic. So kind and friendly and the food was delicious. Going to Red Salt is a splurge for us but I try to stop in for their Lobster Benedict. So delicious!

Our food was absolutely delicious. Mahi Mahi, Monchong, salads and pretzel bread with red salt butter. Service was fine but not personable. Noise level was extremely, uncomfortably loud. We won’t return because of the loud noise level even though the food was delicious. It’s too bad. Maybe they could open the windows to help the noise dissipate or put something in the ceiling or change the flooring. My ears actually hurt after spending 1.5 hours there dining. The food was amazing though🥲

Server was very friendly. Food was pretty average. Brussels sprouts were dry and not very flavorful. Burger was ok (and $60 so expected better) and not sure the pineapple really added anything and may have made it not as good. Homemade ricotta was pretty tasty. Nice drinks. Imagine we could’ve done better elsewhere.

Extremely slow service, which would have been fine because the food was good. But our waitress had a little bit of a meltdown at our table and mentioned that we probably wouldn’t tip because the service was so slow. Bizarre experience, we weren’t even complaining to her, we just wanted to check on the status of our order.
