Best meal on the island. The waitresses are so personable, attentive & nice. Our dinner do was exceptional. We ate here 3 times on our trip. Best meal on the island. The butter fish, scallops & octopus were so delicious. The butter fish was the best fish I had on the island. Can’t wait to come back in a year.

This was, by far, the best meal we had in Kauai. We had the scallops and hamachi starters and both had the butterfish for our entrees. The seafood was exceptional - so fresh and perfectly prepared (not overcooked as we’ve found elsewhere on the island). Can’t recommend Red Salt more if you’re looking for extraordinary food and service.

Super food and service. Covid rules regarding masks in public areas except at table. Fewer tables. Will return. Had tasting menu. Excellent and not overwhelming portion sizes.

Love the food. But the drinks do not do the food and ambiance justice. Unfortunately the servers doing the table side cocktail shaking don’t seem to understand that shaking incessantly and trying to smash out every drop of liquid leaves a dilute and unappetizing beverage. Service was also very slow. Nice people but couldn’t get attention for long stretches. That said, the food is absolutely amazing and I’d come back again.

Waiter was in the weeds all evening. Did not explain apps or menu items to our table without asking
Major point was main entrees fresh catch) served barely lukewarm on cold plates . Add this too the extremely cold conditions of the room made our food cold halfway through

High review because service and food quality are tops. If the restaurant was on the beach with a sunset view the score would be perfect. The fish, seafood and even short rib were all cooked so well that they deserve acclaim. They have a killer wagyu burger but we kept it simpler with the w. sliders. Good cocktails and save room for a shared chocolate lava cake. Our server knows the menu and drinks well and she was just fun and nice.

I chose Red Salt to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary on Saturday the 10th, and I’m glad I did. It started with the very nice, friendly, and welcoming hostess Angel. (I hope I got her name right, she was great). She was able to get us seating quickly and I watched her handle a difficult customer ahead of me with style. Once seated our waiter Dustin introduced himself and from then on made our night special with his great service and interaction. He knew what we wanted and when we wanted it like a mind reader! Having great staff make the night special is really important and they did a great job.
The food was really good. We had scallops, shrimp bisque, mahi, and ahi. The food was tasty and cooked just right. At the end we had a very nice cheesecake for our anniversary that they brought us.
All in all a really great experience and great food. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for making our anniversary special.

One of the the best dining in Kauai. Pretzel bread and sweet butter was amazing. Our appetizers were good as well. Only reason its a 4 and not 5 stars is because the filet mignon dish was covered in sauce. A good steak should stand on its own. But overall it was a solid place.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL!! Had a fabulous finding experience! Kayla's was our server and he is fantastic! Had the Poipu Surf and Cumber Collins cocktails. Delish!! We started with the scallops (so sweet and tender!!) and the coconut curry bisque with mahi & shrimp (had a delightful kick to it). They got us started off just right! Then we moved into the lobster gnocchi and the filet mignon. OMG!! Both were a party in your mouth! The sauce for the gnocchi was incredible and the filet was sooooo tender and flavorful! We finished the meal sharing the passion fruit cheesecake. The evening was delightful! Sooo happy we were able to get a reservation! Thank you Red Salt!

Red Salt was a fantastic experience. Our waiter, Noah was so kind, knowledgeable and attentive. He was honestly one of the better waiters we've ever had. Very passionate about what he does and goes the extra mile to help. He even gave us some great ideas/suggestions for excursions for the rest of the trip. The hostess Angel, was also very sweet and kind as well.

The cocktails are imaginative and superb. The crab/lobster bisque and the burrata salads were very large and filling. The food is beautifully presented.

We dined indoors. Thought the room was a little dark even in daylight. Bring a sweater because the AC is high. The overall experience was excellent. They appear to be booked until August or we would gladly return.

Food was good, but not great. Had the wagyu sliders, lobster gnocchi, and hawaiian butterfish. The sliders were actually excellent, and the others were just good. Not exceptional like we were expecting. Eating House, Beach House, and Tidepools were all a level above Red Salt.

Outstanding.Everything was superb -from the heavenly pretzel bites with red salt butter, the delicious wagyu sliders and sashimi- to the perfection of vanilla seared Ono, Miso Butterfish and lobster ravioli.

We came for our pre anniversary dinner. It was amazing. After a terrible experience at Beach House the day before, this was so refreshing! Hannah our server was awesome! They gave us cheesecake for our anniversary. The hostess was awesome! Food and views incredible. We wanted to come back again if we could get a reservation.

The service was impeccable! Everything that was recommended by the waiter was amazing. We had the Ahi tuna. We had the Mahi and that was amazing as well. The fish was like butter and almost melted in your mouth. Extremely fresh, and no fishy taste. We were under dressed, as we were staying at the hotel, but they made us feel welcome. Perfect for a fancy night out. The prices are a little more expensive, but so worth every penny spent!!

This restaurant was disappointing. Service is excellent. Food is fair. I got sick from the chicken. The chicken was over cooked and tasted funny. The sliders were okay but 18 dollars for hamburger seems high. My husband’s butterfish was bland and it was served over rice cauliflower and edamame. Not tasty. I wish I could say it was terrific but we felt that it was okay but not worthy of fine dining status

Food, drinks, and service were very good. We tried the tempura ahi roll, and maybe it just wasn't our thing. I could definitely tell the quality of the meat, but personally would have loved more flavor to it. The entrees were fantastic. My wife got the Mahi and ate the 'avocado salsa' that came with it despite hating avocado. I had the braised beef short ribs and it was very good. Overall, it was a great experience.
