Wonderful ambiance and great food. Our server Thomas was very good and very attentive. The shrimp appetizer was out of this world.
Excellent food, great service, nice views from the tables by the windows. Fish was "melt in your mouth", and really well flavored. It was great!
Attentive service, amazing five star food
This is a steak restaurant and the meat quality is not as expected for the price. Seasonal vegetables were only okay and preparation was nothing special. Sides are a la carte $6 and the bill quickly adds up for an average meal. Drinks were slow and we had to chase down other waitstaff for salt, etc. because our waiter was nowhere to be found. Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes are good.
First time dining at the Red Sage. Excellent everything. Great bar service and top notch steak. Great job.

Below average service. Jose knew very little about the wine list. Wine we selected was unavailable. Picked another that we were familiar with. The sommelier came to our table AFTER dinner! The salmon entree was just not good. It was swimming in puréed black beans that were “smoky” in flavor. One of our party was allergic to that smoky flavor. No mention of that in the description. The ancho GLAZE was actually a thick BBQ-type sauce that smothered the salmon. Not a tasty entree and visually unappealing. What WAS a favorite Santa Fe dining experience is off the list.
The food was excellent with several options. I did not like that the potato did not come with my steak, but my steak was very tender and cooked perfectly. Service was a tad slow.
Great food and atmosphere, service was top notch. We enjoyed our time in your restaurant my wife and I met my cousin from Mexico city here and I was not disappointing. That was very important as he is a world traveler, i am pleased to say you represented yourselves very well ! Thanks again. D.Z.
Great place overall. Food was AMAZING! Service was a 9 out of 10! It’s a bit loud in there since there is not much of a barrier between the seating area and the hallway out to the rest of he resort. But well worth the money and time.
3 couples at the Red Sage restaurant before going to a concert that night. Service was excellent, food was very good, bar drinks helped us get in the spirit before our concert. Overall a great experience.
Will absolutely be coming back to Red Sage!! First off our waiter was outstanding, wish I could remember his name. The wine we choose was out of this world from the help of our waiter. The food phenomenal. I would highly recommend the filet mignon. Cut like butter. Go go go to Red Sage.

The electricity went off for over an hour. We were told they were not serving hot food for a bit so we waited at the bar. We were told they would come get us. They did not so we finally asked again and were seated but that it was only cold food. This was not true. Come to find out many tables had been served hot food for a while before we were seated.
The waiter was great once we got to him but no apologies for the hour wait or misinformation from management.
Unfortunately it’s the only real restaurant in the hotel so we will try again tonight as their food is really good.
It’s not a direct fault of the restaurant but it could have been handled way better.
This is a great option for not being in the crowds of downtown Santa Fe.
We were staying at Buffalo Thunder and went to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing we had the avocado and the salmon and scallops. The chef came out and checked on us and made us a wonderful dessert along with candles for the special occasion.
My husband and I went hear for our anniversary . Everything was literally perfect . We were checked in with by servers, the manager, and the chef . They were all so kind and went above and beyond for our anniversary .
Nice prix fixe with salmon or short rib. Both were excellent. Several had scallops which are always good. We really liked the Brussels sprouts too. Filets are very nice. We enjoyed the creme brûlée as well.

Split the Tomahawk steak and mixed greens salad. Great steak. We got sides of mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. Interesting spicy preparation on the sprouts. Pecan tart and coffee made a nice finish. Attentive service.
We had an excellent dinner here. The food was well prepared & presented & the service was good. They also have en extensive wine list at reasonable prices.

Our server and the hostess were good. The food I ordered was not very good and it normally is so that is why it was such a shock to not be as pleased this time.

Just simply great food/service. Yes, it is between seasons so the menu is smaller which is understandably. We had Bison steaks and Salmon. Bison was tender as it can be. Salmon was fresh and with reasonable size. Wine choices are huge. Service are great, highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Santa Fe area. Worth a drive.
Never disappointed every time we eat at Red Sage. Great cocktails & extensive great wine list. Service great, friendly. Ask for Jose! He is friendly, attentive, remembers repeat customers!

Concert at Buffalo Thunder Casino. We would dine again as we shared apps for a lighter dinner. Would to try the beef dishes in the near future.
This was our second(and last) time to try Red Sage. Both times we were greeted by an off-putting and rude female at the reception station. This time we were told we didn't have a reservatio(!), even after I showed the woman the reservation confirmation in my Open Table e-mail. Just plain nasty, un-friendly for no apparent reason. We had requested a nice, quiet table because it was a special occasion. She instead gave us perhaps the worst table in the restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, a youngish woman, apologized and moved us to an only slightly better table. Our server, an older gentleman was slow but courteous.I am writing a complaint to the General Manager, Mark Allgeier. This is no way to treat customers. Also, the smell of stale cigarette smoke is very evident on this restaurant floor of the casino and very un-appetizing (not to mention un-healthy). We won't be back!
The service and staff were very good. The menu needs a lot of help. Its the same menu from the time they opened many years ago. Its so boring! There are only four entrees, and a selection of steaks. The people at the table next to ours told me not to order them. I ordered the bass, it was done very well but this is New Mexico, Bass, game hen, risotto and steak is not an exciting menu. The desert needed help too.
Our meal was absolutely wonderful, my NY strip was grilled perfectly and my wife's pork chop was incredible, I had to taste it!
We went with expectations of what was listed as available on-line(I.e. that we could order what was on the website's menu). The actual menu was not consistent with what was on the website. Consequently, I had to settle for a game hen instead of the duck I had gotten excited about. The game hen was good and flavorful, but was just a game hen and hard to mess up. We didn't feel it was worth the value, regardless of the amount of herbaceous attenuation.
The sea bass, on the other hand, was exceptional. The skin was crisp on every bite and the creamy risotto added to the buttery flesh achieved on the fish.
The red pepper sauce went really well with the fritters.
Finally, if you want a chocolate dessert, get the cake.
We had a reservation on a busy night and they were a little late, but Vinnie checked with us often and even treated us to a cocktail before dinner. We enjoyed our evening and the food was great!
Took my husband for our anniversary And sadly was very disappointed. Food was bland, steaks were over cooked and service not good

Santa Fe restaurant week was a surprise to us but we enjoyed the set menus. The pork chop was perfect as were the crab cakes. Blueberry crime brûlée was a great ending. Attentive service too.
Friends were in town & we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service & the atmosphere. We have been before & will definitely come again.
