Just simply great food/service. Yes, it is between seasons so the menu is smaller which is understandably. We had Bison steaks and Salmon. Bison was tender as it can be. Salmon was fresh and with reasonable size. Wine choices are huge. Service are great, highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Santa Fe area. Worth a drive.
Never disappointed every time we eat at Red Sage. Great cocktails & extensive great wine list. Service great, friendly. Ask for Jose! He is friendly, attentive, remembers repeat customers!
Overall fantastic dining experience. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush
Lobster tail was to die for! Good wine selection.
Concert at Buffalo Thunder Casino. We would dine again as we shared apps for a lighter dinner. Would to try the beef dishes in the near future.
This was our second(and last) time to try Red Sage. Both times we were greeted by an off-putting and rude female at the reception station. This time we were told we didn't have a reservatio(!), even after I showed the woman the reservation confirmation in my Open Table e-mail. Just plain nasty, un-friendly for no apparent reason. We had requested a nice, quiet table because it was a special occasion. She instead gave us perhaps the worst table in the restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, a youngish woman, apologized and moved us to an only slightly better table. Our server, an older gentleman was slow but courteous.I am writing a complaint to the General Manager, Mark Allgeier. This is no way to treat customers. Also, the smell of stale cigarette smoke is very evident on this restaurant floor of the casino and very un-appetizing (not to mention un-healthy). We won't be back!
The service and staff were very good. The menu needs a lot of help. Its the same menu from the time they opened many years ago. Its so boring! There are only four entrees, and a selection of steaks. The people at the table next to ours told me not to order them. I ordered the bass, it was done very well but this is New Mexico, Bass, game hen, risotto and steak is not an exciting menu. The desert needed help too.
Our meal was absolutely wonderful, my NY strip was grilled perfectly and my wife's pork chop was incredible, I had to taste it!
We went with expectations of what was listed as available on-line(I.e. that we could order what was on the website's menu). The actual menu was not consistent with what was on the website. Consequently, I had to settle for a game hen instead of the duck I had gotten excited about. The game hen was good and flavorful, but was just a game hen and hard to mess up. We didn't feel it was worth the value, regardless of the amount of herbaceous attenuation.
The sea bass, on the other hand, was exceptional. The skin was crisp on every bite and the creamy risotto added to the buttery flesh achieved on the fish.
The red pepper sauce went really well with the fritters.
Finally, if you want a chocolate dessert, get the cake.
We had a reservation on a busy night and they were a little late, but Vinnie checked with us often and even treated us to a cocktail before dinner. We enjoyed our evening and the food was great!
Took my husband for our anniversary And sadly was very disappointed. Food was bland, steaks were over cooked and service not good
Excellent choices for Restaurant week. Everything we ordered was delicious.
Our waiter was exceptional. It was the first time we've dined at Red Sage and it won't
be the last!
Santa Fe restaurant week was a surprise to us but we enjoyed the set menus. The pork chop was perfect as were the crab cakes. Blueberry crime brûlée was a great ending. Attentive service too.
Friends were in town & we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service & the atmosphere. We have been before & will definitely come again.
First night of restaurant week. Treated our pastor and his wife. Delightful evening. Excellent food, service and value. Wasn’t rushed.
Our waiter was exceptional! His recommendations were spot on. The food was presented very nicely and delicious. I will certainly return. The sea bass and scallops were fabulous. Our waiter suggested a few before dinner drinks and they were prepared very well.
Did a great job supporting our surprise 60th birthday party! Always a nice happy hour and responsive wait staff.
We celebrated Valentine's Day a day later on the 15th and it was quiet, only a couple of tables, service was great, food was outstanding. Best filet mignon and lobster I have had in a long time. The lobster risotto was to die for. Overall womderful meal.
Thank you Red Sage you made our Valentine’s Day date phenomenal!!! The Valentine’s Day meal was wonderful!
Very good food. Unfortunately , the service was a bit slow between courses. They were busy, and I don't think the kitchen could keep up. I say this because everything came to the table at the correct temperature. Usually not the case when it's an overworked or slow waiter.
It's the best restaurant within 75 miles of home
Valentine's Day dinner. Tom was out server. He was very knowledgeable. We four courses. 2 hours. The bison and cowboy cut ribeye were fantastic. The twelve layer chocolate cake with candied orange peels great ending.
Our waiter Jose was awesome and our dinner was excellent!
Hilton ammeditities... Hotel 5 Star....Will come back!!!
Excellent service and food. Fantastic for business dinners.
Was a great experience and birthday night out for my girlfriend.
Spacious, well-designed entry and lobby open to grand bar and uncrowded dining area. Tom was right there with wine suggestions and menu tips. The chef stopped by and spent minutes answering our foodie questions. We six lingered two or three hours over the succulent dishes and conversation. Altogether an excellent facility for a great evening out.
Enjoyed our meal very much. The quality of the ingredients were very good. The dessert was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Food was excellent. Excellent service. Perfect New Year’s Eve venue. Every dish was a work of art. Excellent wine list and cocktails. Great desserts. They were out of my favorite dessert so I tried the chocolate cake which was delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly. Scallop appetizer was fresh and delicious. This restaurant did not disappoint.
Great food and setting.
great wait staff. Very good wine selection. Food was hot when delivered. Food was prepared well and to our request. Ample amount.
My parents, husband and I went there for Christmas Day dinner. The food was the best it ever has been there and the service was great. I used to be a Hotel General manager so the first two things I notice is the cleanliness and the friendliness. The only person that turned me off was the hostess who was wearing a white skirt (I believe) suit. She made it a point to tell me that their special menu was already in the menu book when I was looking at their small flyer that they had at the hostess stand but then it wasn't in mine. Had she not wanted to control everything then I wouldn't of had to bother our waiter to go get one for me. When we got to our table my mothers butter knife had dried food on it.
The food was absolutely wonderful. Service was outstanding. Desserts are great!
The food was above and beyond spectacular and delicious. The staff was very friendly and paid attention to our every need. The managers and the chef all made it a point to come by the table to wish us a happy anniversary and a happy birthday to my husband. Our desserts were absolutely delicious and were complimentary. We liked our experience so much, that we returned for dinner the following night and had the same great experience.
Overall, great experience. Food was good but portions in relation to the price should be considered. More portions would make for a more full-filling experience. Left still hungry after $100+. Also, the menu could have more choices. Just some hopeful suggestions. But, food was good and experience was good.
Delicious meal with excellent service. They also have an excellent wine list with a very large selection of wines from all around the world.
Started with the braised crispy pork belly. FANTASTIC! But, the food quickly went downhill from there. The Bison steaks were not even seasoned properly. Skipped the deserts and went out for cupcakes.
This meal showed such promise and potential excitement at the beginning. When the sub-par entrees came the whole experience went flat. A the conclusion of the meal the waitress offered the obligatory: "How was everything?" When we explained our dissatisfaction we got the "To Bad. . .So sad"/non-committal response.
We are now the wiser.
Too expensive for the food you're served. Can get the same steak at a cheaper restaurant.
Staff was very attentive. I really liked the Sea Bass entre. The risotto that came with the dish was outstanding.
Really delicious food.
Our only complaint was that they ran out of filet mignon before we arrived- at 6:30 Sunday evening. That is just poor management.
