Perfect good. Perfect service. Clean place.
It was awesome. Only thing was that I was not aware that they have live music, and it was pretty loud. But nonetheless entertaining.
Great experience and exploration of various food tastes! Good reason to visit Harlem. Highly recommend it.
My Grandmother was very excited to attend for her birthday,we arrived at 8:50 for our 9:00 reservation but did not get seated til 9:30 the food was great but took an hour and a half to receive my grandmother literally fell asleep at the table , The ambiance was beautiful and definitely seems like a great place for a date but we left not satisfied and still hungry because portions were so small
Wonderful Wonderful experience. VERY loud and energetic for a date night though. Better for friends and gatherings
Red Rooster is all around great but it is too loud (turning sown the music would help).
We had reservations for brunch at noon but arrived about 11:30. We saw empty tables outside so we requested an outside table. It took about 20 minutes to be seated at the table that was open the whole time but they hostesses were gracious so it was not a big deal. The male wait staff members were gorgeous and definitely made the experience more enjoyable. We were given cornbread with tomato jam and honey butter which was delicious.
I ordered Mama's Breakfast Pie - lamb and mashed potatoes served in a skillet. It was very good. The chunks of lamb were grisly but tasty. My daughter ordered Asia's Hash which is usually served with duck hash but on this day had been made with chicken apple sausage. It comes with a fried egg on top. When my daughter lifted the egg, she was repulsed. The chicken sausage looked undercooked, which I am sure that it wasn't but she sent it back. She ordered Malcolm Lox Toast which looked beautiful and tasted delicious. We were stuffed but wanted to try a baked good so we ordered the sour cream coffee cake. It was just okay, nice texture but the flavor was subtle.
The brunch food was just good. I have had dinner options before that were outstanding (Obama Short Ribs!). The atmosphere and the service are just wonderful. I will return.
I love this restaurant. Except the music was insanely loud I could barely hear the people at my table. And I’m 24 years old !! Not some old person complaining about the volume. When I asked my waitress for a straw she asked me if I wanted to save a sea otter or something. In other words she made me feel bad for asking for a straw for my harlem mule which tasted way better with a straw. The food was a little cold but delicious flavors!!!!
My crab cake was delish; big juicy and filled with mouthwatering crab! I’ll definitely go back.
I had lunch here a few times. The servers here are just wonderful. The food is awesome.
The music was too loud. It’s an amazing restaurant and there was a great DJ but it was three notches too loud for eating. Maybe it works for weekends but this was a Thursday night.
What an amazing vibe! If you don’t eat the Royale or Hot Chicken you’re missing out. Incredible. Very fun place and A+.
The Obama short ribs were freaking spectacular!!!!
Excellent meal and outstanding service at this Harlem restaurant. We will go back, often. Happy Hour specialty cocktails were a nice surprise before our meal.
Was everythng we expected and more...the food was outstanding
We visited Red Rooster with my husband and inlaws who were visiting from Istanbul. We were celebrating 8 year wedding anniversary with my husband.
We had wonderful time. The food was as always extraordinary and our parents loved the ambiance and the food.
Thank you for letting us enjoy the space and making this truly a wonderful memory.
If you don’t like spicy food, stick to cocktails.
Must do restaurant when in Harlem. Food was great. We'll be back soon.
Vibe, music, atmosphere, food, and drinks were amazing! Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had.
The lunch menu was limited and service was slow. Food was excellent
The food was not what I was expecting. I always wanted to go to this restaurant more than anything to try the food created by Chef Marcus Samuelsson....It was an absolute deception but what it was really shocking was that this restaurant got a B in health inspections.... after seeing the grade on the window I wanted to leave immediately.
My friend’s daughter (16 years old) wanted to go there for her birthday, so after seeing the grade I didn’t say anything to anyone. I didn’t want to ruin the moment for them as they all came from UK on vacation and they were looking forward to go to this place.
The food did not taste good and everything looked fatty and fried. One of my friends ordered Macaroni and cheese and we all tried it. The taste of that dish was so bad that no one wanted to eat it ... The taste was like eating pure butter ... I ordered the meat (medium rare) and it arrived dry and greasy.
No one wanted to stay for desert!
The live music at the bar was so incredibly loud that it was impossible to have a normal conversation. None of us couldn’t listen what the other one was saying.
For me the only reason that I’ll go back to this place it will be for drinks and music, but never again to eat at the restaurant.
My 14 year old son and I ate here on a trip to NYC. He is a foodie and specifically asked to eat here. Our server was unenthusiastic. They were out of collard greens so half of the stuff on the menu had changes. Food was just okay. Of course we had the fried chicken, my son loved it but we ran out of gravy and our server never checked back in to see if we needed more. I thought the potatoes and cabbage were overly sweet and the crab cakes were just okay.
Sunday brunch was fabulous!! We had the chicken and waffles, chicken with biscuits and gravy, corn bread and the breakfast pie. Loved it all!! The staff is so nice and love the music!!
Red Rooster is a place that lived up to expectations. The food was excellent. The ambiance was nice and the energy was great. I will definitely go back to Red Rooster on my next trip to NYC.
One of the best soul food spots! Vibe was cool, really great old school hiphop and r&b, so it brought you back. The apps are great and the drinks of delicious too. Noisy place but that's the point, so it was definitely happening! Totally recommend!
I experienced a delectable dish and entertaining atmosphere at this establishment. The wait for food wasn't long. The décor was fabulous.
Everything was Amazing!!!
Hands down! First visit and will not be my last!
Get to this restaurant ASAP. You will not be disappointed!!!
Legendary! You can’t miss this
The food was exceptional. We had the deviled eggs and cornbread for appetizers; the paella was the main course and was enough for 4 people. The service was a lacking but not a deal breaker.
Had a great time at Red Rooster. Food was excellent as well as the service and always positive staff. We wanted a leisurely dinner and we were not rushed. We tried a lot of small plates and shared the entree so we could try variety. Can’t wait for our next visit!!
My wifes birthday
You have everything right there for a great night: separate bar area, a restaurant and a nighclub downstairs. One stop dining, music and entertainment. It's like a vacation.
Service was slow - to bring water, to come back and take orders, to check on our first bites, to offer second cocktail
Everything was great, except the air conditioning just couldn't keep pace with the temp outside!
The ambience is great and so is the food. I look forward to eating there again.
Go here! Food was amazing with generous serving sizes. Great service and ambiance. If you like live music, would recommend picking a later dining time... didn’t start til 9pm when we visited.
The food is phenomenal. We had Obama Shortribs and Shrimp and Grits. The wings appetizers are the best ever! Will definitely go back. Food and vibe outweigh the average service.
Food was great but it was really slow. I know it’s a busy weekend (July 4th) so I’m going to let that go. My piece of ribeye was overcooked but since it was a good piece of steak it wasn’t chewy. Although service was slow, our server was nice and polite. Would come back during a slower time next time.
